Rites Saturday for Mrs. Florence Moore
Mrs. Florence Greenman Moore, 84, died Saturday, July 25 at Dracut, Mass., following a long illness.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday in St. John's Episcopal Church and burial was in Lakeview Cemetery, Richfield Springs.
Mrs. Moore was born February 14, 1880 in Richfield Springs, the daughter of Henry and Florence Piper Greenman. She was graduated from Richfield Springs High School in 1898 and attended a school of elocution in New York City. Mrs. Moore was organist in both St. John's Church and First Presbyterian Church at Richfield Springs.
In 1904 she was married to Winthrop H. Moore of Richfield Springs in St. John's Church. Mr. Moore died in 1941. Following his death she resided in New York City and Lowell, Mass. She was a member of St. John's Church and a member of Ganowaugee Chapter, DAR.
She is survived by three sons, Winthrop H. Moore, Jr. of Brookdale, Mass., Greenman G. Moore of Dracut and Lorence E. Moore of Great Barrington, Mass.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Winthrop H. Moore
The death of Winthrop Henry Moore occurred in Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown, on Friday, May 23rd, after an illness of about two weeks.
The funeral was held in St. John's Epiecopal Church at two o'clock Monday afternoon, the reverend Daniel M. Walton and the Reverend Gordon L. Kidd of Christ Church, Herkimer, officiated. Interment was made in the family plot in Lakeview Cemetery.
Mr. Moore was 57 years old. He was born in Richfield Springs on February 15, 1884, the son of John and Emma Bowden Moore. He married Miss Florence Greenman, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Greenman in Richfield Springs on October 22, 1904.
After attending Richfield Springs High School Mr. Moore entered the employ of the Waiontha Knitting Company of Richfield Springs. At the age of 21, he was assistant superintendent of that factory. He then entered the employ of the Utica Knitting Company. Mr. Moore continued in the knit goods business throughout his career and was acknowledged to be one of the bests informed men in this line....the country.
He had been superintendent of some of the largest mills in the United States and Canada, notably, Wright's Health Underwear Company of Troy, N. Y., Gilbert Knitting Company, Little Falls, Lawrence Manufacturing Company, Lowell, Mass. and Penman's Knitting Company in Canada.
Mr Moore was a lifelong and devoted member of St. John's Episcopal Church in this village.
There survive, the widow; three sons, Winthrop H. Moore, Jr., who is enroute to California where he will be employed in the National Defense Industry, Greenman Moore of Richfield Springs and Lorence Moore of New York City; his mother, Mrs. John Moore of Newark, N.J.; a sister, Mrs. Elvin Blanchard of Newark; a brother, Robert E. Moore of Essex Falls, N. J. and three granddaughters.

Miss Florence Greenman and Winthrop Henry Moore were married in St. John's Church Saturday evening by the Rev. Scott Melville Cooke, the rector of the church. Only the families of the bride and groom and a few intimate friends were present and Miss Christabel Greenman, the birde's sister and Rex Joslyn attended them as maid of honor and best man. Mrs. Ray Shaul presided at the organ. Mr and Mrs. Moore left in the evening for New York and upon their return they will be at home in Mrs. G. B. Neeley's house in James Street. Mrs. Moore, who is beloved for her amiability, is a talented young woman, being an elocutionist and a musician of ability. She has recently resigned her position as organist in the First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Moore holds a responsible position with the Waiontha Knitting Company.

Russell A. Kahler
A service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, in Willamette National Cemetery for Russell A. Kahler, who died Oct. 24 at age 92.
Russell A. Kahler was born July 24, 1916, in Pasadena, Calif. He joined the Navy in 1933 and served in World War II in the Pacific. He retired as a lieutenant commander and moved in 1972 to Yamhill, where he raised walnuts and filberts. He moved to Beaverton in 2005. In 1946, he married Mary Crice; she died in 2003.
Survivors include his grandson, Russell Hunt; three other grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
