Louis A. Wagner
ILION - Louis A. Wagner age 82, of Herkimer Rd. Schuyler, died Friday, Saturday, July 29, 1988 at his residence.
He was born May 26, 1906, in Gery, N.Y.. a son of Charles and Flora Hess Wagner, and received his education in Grey, N.Y. He was married to Margaret Eaton in 1939 in Schuyler. She died in 1966. For over 30 years, Mr Wagner was a mechanic with Hameline Daries of Utica. Mr. Wagner was an avbid horseman. He and his horse, Chief, traveled throughout the North-East perforning at rodeos, parades and fairs for many years. Mr. Wagner was a member of the Schuyler United Methodist Church and a past member of the Oneida County Mounted Sheriff's Possse.
H is survived by a daughter, Carol Eaton Wagner, of Prescott AZ. and Schuyler, a sister, Mrs. Reba Edick, of Ilion, a nephew, Roy Edick of Ilion and a special friend, Rosetta Ballard, of Schuyler.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, from the family home with Rev. John Scoville officiating. Friends are invited to call at the family home on Monday 2-4 and 7-9.
In rememberance of Mr. Wagner, kindly consider the Herkimer County Humane Society of the National Wildlife Federation.

Clair E. Belote, 19 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Belote, died last night at the family home in Fruitland township, R. R. 2. He had been ill since Sunday evening. The young man was born June 1, 1913 in Kent county. He made his home in Fruitland with his parents for 17 years, and had been helping his father on the farm. He attended the Gordon Sunday School and was a member of the Dalton Grange No. 546. Surviving are, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Belote; one brother, Russell, at home; one sister, Doris, at home; and his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Gates, of North Muskegon.
