Beverly J. Taber, 91, of Elkhart, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at East Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Beverly was born on January 21, 1923 to Francis and Elsie (Fedell) King in Elkhart. She was raised by her Aunt, Uncle and her five cousins.
She is survived by a daughter, Melodie Cataldo (Joseph), Elkhart; son, Gregory King; Grandchildren, Angela Strycker (Jesse), Carmela Cowdrey (Eric), Jason and Monica King; a Great-grandchild; and a sister, Catherine Kirkdorfer, New Paris.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Francis "Bud" King.
Beverly graduated from Elkhart High School in 1941. Following her High School career, she joined the US Coast Guard (SPARS) and served during World War II. Beverly later worked as a Distribution Clerk for the U.S. Post Office. She retired in 1985 after 20 years of service.
A private family service will be held at a later date.

Homer Bradley "Brad" age 82, of Morris, died early Friday morning, May 24, 2002 at the Morris Hospital.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at 7 PM at the Fruland Funeral Home in Morris with Fr. Robert Hoffenkamp officiating.
According to his wishes, Cremation Rites were accorded, Burial will be in the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL on Wednesday at 1 PM.
Visitation will be held at the Fruland Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM.
Military Rites will be accorded by members of the John Martin Steelpost 6049 V.F.W. and Morris American Legion Post 294.
Born September 14, 1919 in Joliet, he was the son of Walter and Elsie Blodgett Bradley.
He grew up and attended school in Joliet. On October 19, 1974, he married Eileen Enger in Morris. They lived all of their married life in Morris.
For several years, he was employed as a custodian at I.C.S. and District 54. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Army in the European Theatre.
He is survived by his wife of Morris; a daughter, Linda Desch of Newport News, VA; a stepson, Jim (June) Enger of Dwight, IL; three step daughters, Diane (Robert) Lowery of Corydon, Iowa, Lynn (Mike) Corley of Lincoln, IL, Karen (Dr. Tim) Ortiz of Morris, IL; 13 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, Donald Bradley of Pomona, California; and a brother-in-law, Donnie Daily of Morris.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
He was a life member of the Acantigney Post #367 of Joliet, Morris American Legion Post 294, President of the Armored Division, Morris Eagles Lodge 1024 and President of the Residences of the Grundy County Home.
