Charlotte B. Myers, 83, of Mount Horeb, died on Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at Meriter Hospital in Madison. She was born September 27, 1923 in Las Vegas, NM to Leandro and Petra Duran Baca. She married Robert O. Myers on December 2, 1943 while both were serving in the US Army in Corpus Christi, TX. Charlotte achieved the rank of corporal. They lived their married life in Madison, Verona and moved to Mount Horeb in 1966. Robert preceded her in death on August 12, 1999.
Charlotte loved her family and looked forward to family get-togethers and visits from her many friends. She was happiest while she was working in her many flower gardens or as she called them her "weed patches" and especially liked growing roses. She worked for the former Dane County Hospital and Home for 22 years until her retirement in 1976. Charlotte was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and of its WELCA in Mount Horeb and the Frank E. Malone American Legion Post #113 of Mount Horeb.
Survivors include her seven children, 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Immanuel Lutheran church, Mount Horeb with Pastor Keith Anderson officiating. Burial with full military honors wes held at Roselawn Memorial Park in Monona.
