St Johnsville--Mrs Dwight Walrath, 75, died March 23, 1956, in her home on Mechanic St.
Elizabeth Cline was born March 2 1881 in the Town of Oppenheim, daughter of James and Ida Bolster Cline. She was married to Dwight Walrath on Aug 28 1907 in Oppenheim. The family lived for many years in the Town of Oppenheim moving to St Johnsville two years ago.
Surviving besides her husband are a son Leo Walrath, St Johnsville four grandchildren, two brothers J Ronald Cline, Dolgerville and Grant Cline, Fairfield, one sister Mrs Minnie Bowen, St Johnsville.
The funeral will be at 2 Monday form the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev Ernest Crosman, pastor of the St John's Reformed Church officiating. Burial will be in St Johnsville Cemetery

Death caused by influenza which developed pneumonia has claimed another of Ilion most highly regarded residents when Mrs William Crocker died at her home on Grove Street at 8 o'clock last night. she was taken ill a week ago last Saturday and throughout her illness her condition had been critical. Her passing ...caused the deepest sorrow to everyone that knew her and a home that was at all times cheerful and lovingly devoted to ... has been cast in sadness. She was regarded by her friends and neighbors as a most worthy woman and her companionship was at all times welcomed. Her death is extremely a sad one for the reason that she leaves four small children The deceased was 34 years of age and a former resident of St Johnsville and came to this village about nine years ago. She was a member of the Methodist Church and took a great deal of interest in every branch of the church.
Surviving are her husband, four children, John aged 7 years, Esther, aged five years, Inez aged three years, and Richard, aged nine months; also her parents Mr and Mrs William Bolster, one brother William Bolster, who is in service in France, and two sisters, Mrs Russell Stephenson of Schenectady and Mrs Conrad Stern of Perth Amboy.
The funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family and the body will be taken to St Johnsville for burial

KALAMAZOO, Mich. ? Leo L. Cline, 88, of 6123 Grenache Lane, Portage, Mich., formerly of Little Falls and Deltona, Fla., passed away Monday, June 14, 2004, at the Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, Mich. He and his wife Wilhelmina have been residing in Michigan for the past two years.
He was born on December 17, 1915, in Indian Castle, the son of the late Floyd and Rosina (Hayes) Cline. He was a graduate of Ilion High School. He was united in marriage to the former Veronica Reardon on October 27, 1937, at St. Mary's Rectory, Little Falls. She predeceased him on October 28, 1982.
He was again united in marriage to the former Wilhelmina (Van Eyk) Blue on October 24, 1987, in Oshtemo, Mich.
Mr. Cline was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Navy, entering the service on December 12, 1942, in Little Falls. He was honorably discharged on October 30, 1945. He was a member of the Inghams Mills Baptist Church; Elk's Lodge No. 42, B.P.O.E., Little Falls; Dolgeville-Little Falls Masonic Lodge No. 796 F&AM; and the Scottish Rite and Bahia Shrine. Also while residing in Florida he was a member of the Deltona Civic Center, AARP, Deltona Chapter, and the Scottish Rite Social Club.
He is survived by his wife Wilhelmina; his sister, Gladys Donlin of Ilion; a niece, Eleanor Hayes and her husband William of Lasselsville; a nephew, Barry Johns and his wife Kathy of Little Falls; his great nieces and nephews, Celene Rogers and her husband Edmund of Little Falls, Keith Johns of Dolgeville, Matthew Johns of Camden, Luke Johns and his wife Toni Anne of Little Falls, Blaise Johns of Little Falls and Kathy Johns of Little Falls; three great-great-nieces and nephews, Veronica and Eddie Rogers and Alexa Johns.
He was predeceased by a brother, Donald F. Cline, who died on July 22, 1999.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 18, at 10 a.m. from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann St., Little Falls, with Pastor Gertrude Ortlieb of the Inghams Mills Baptist Church officiating.

Raymond Bolster January 17, 1997
Raymond J. Bolster, 99, of the St. Johnsville Nursing Home, and formerly of 385 Fical St., St. Johnsville, died Friday at the nursing home. He was born Nov. 8, 1897 in Oppenheim, the son of Milton J. and Dorn B. (Barker) Bolster.
Mr. Bolster was married to the former Clara C. Kraft on July 10, 1923 in Fort Plain. The two resided in the St. Johnsville and Lassellsville areas their entire lives. The two then resided at Pineview Commons Adult Home in Johnstown from June 1995 until Mr. Bolster was moved to the St. Johnsville Nursing Home in October 1996.
He was employed by Niagara Mohawk Power & Light Corp beginning in 1928 until retiring in 1965. Mr. Bolster was a member of F&AM Masonic Lodge 611 in St. Johnsville for 47 years. He also was a 40-year member of Odd Fellows Lodge in St. Johnsville.
At the time of his death, he was a member of Lassellsville Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife Clara of Johnstown; a daughter, Joan
R. Capece of St. Simon's Island, Ga.; two granddaughters; and five greatgrandchildren. Mr. Bolster was pre-deceased by a son, Roy Bolster, who died in 1930.
There will be no calling hours.

Hazel Kraft, 95, of the St. Johnsville Nursing Home, died there Thursday.
She was born Aug. 12, 1901, in St. Johnsville, the daughter of Milton and Dorn Barker Bolster. She was educated in St. Johnsville schools and was a lifelong resident of the St. Johnsville area. She was married to Wesley Kraft in St. Johnsville. He died in 1970. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and its organizations.
Survivors include two sons, Herbert Kraft of St. Johnsville and Leland Kraft of Florida; a daughter, Janet Johnson of Clinton; a brother, Raymond Bolster of Johnstown; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-greatgrandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services are Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, St. Johnsville, with the Rev. Dennis Fonkert officiating. Burial will be in West St. Johnsville Cemetery.
Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Smith-Woody and Enea Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Montgomery County, New York

Wesley E. Kraft, 73, Little Falls RD, a widely known carpenter who had built many homes in this area, died unexpectedly shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday while at work at 18 Center St., St. Johnsville. He resided on Route 5, in the Town of Manheim.
The St. Johnsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Dr. Raymond Wytrwal were summoned and Dr. Wytrwal pronounced him dead. Death was attributed a heart attack.
Mr. Kraft was born in the Town of St. Johnsville on Nov. 4, 1897, the son of Ernest and Bertha Fick Kraft. He had resided in the St. Johnsville vicinity all of his life.
He was a veteran of World War I, and was an active member and a councilman of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a member of its Men's Club. He also was a member of Cathetackne Grange, Town of Manheim.
He was married in 1921 to the former Hazel Bolster, who survives, with two sons, Leland Kraft, St Johnsville, and Herbert Kraft, Little Falls RD 1; one daughter, Mrs. Theodore Johnson, Clinton; five grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Roy Snell and Mrs. Emma Krieger, both of St. Johnsville; Mrs. Raymond Bolster, St. Johnsville RD, .and Mrs. John Mahanna, Utica; two brothers, Ernest Kraft, Fort Johnson, and Leo Kraft, West St. Johnsville; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Henry Johnson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in West St. Johnsville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Lull Funeral Home this evening from 7 to 9, and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

She was born on October 5, 1925, in the town of Oppenheim, the daughter of the late Chauncey and Edna (Clemons) Young. She was a graduate of Dolgeville High School, class of 1943
She was united in marriage to her husband of 57 years, Clayton Montana, on July 2, 1943, at the home of the brides's parents in Oppenheim. Mr Montana predeceased her on Mar 4, 2000
Mrs Montana was a member oft he Grace Baptist Church, Dolgeville
She was employed at different times in the offices of the former Little Falls Felt Shoe Co., the Palatine Dye Co., and Johnstown High School Library. She was last employed in that capacity for the former Gates Mills Co., Gloversville. For many years, Mrs Montana also provided child care for many young families in the Oppenheim area. She had also served as The town of Oppenheim tax collector for over 40 years.
She is survived by 4 sons, Rodney C. She was predeceased by 2 Brothers, Grant D Young in 2006 and G Arthur Young in 1985; and by 3 grandchildren, Wayne and Linda Montana, son Seth Montana in 1971, Suzanne Brooks, children Clayton Rodney in 1990 and Angela Gabryzewski in 1991

St Johnsville--Miss Betty Lou Young, daughter of Mr and Mrs Chauncey Young, State road, Town of Oppenheim, and Clayton Montana, son of Mr and Mrs Newell Montana, also of the Town of Oppenheim, were married Friday afternoon at the home of the bride.
....The bride was graduated from Dolgeville High School, class of 1943. Mr Montana who also attended Dolgeville High School, has been associated with his father in the conduct of a dairy farm
...Mr Montana will leave Monday for the Army

Kenneth L Cool, 96, a lifelong resident of Lassellsville, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2006, at his home
He was born January 20, 1910 in Lassellsville , the son of the late Floyd and Lizzie (Miles) Cool and was educated in Lassellsville schools
His marriage to Frances Clemons took place on June 13, 1931 in the town of Oppenheim
Through the years Kenneth held various employment, which included the state of New York; Remington Arms, where he was renown as an expert marksman; and his last emplacement at the Oppenheim-Ephratah Central School, where he held the position of custodian and bus driver
He was passionate about gardening, hunting, fishing, camping, playing his harmonica and sharing his memories with his family and friend
Survivors include his wife of 75 years, Frances; a daughter, Patricia Johnson and husband Richard of Lassellsville; his grandson Kenneth Haak and wife Margo of Montana; his granddaughters, Sheryl Ursi and Husband Carl of St Johnsville, Denise Sherman of Lassellsville, Doreen Boyer of St Johnsville, Jennifer Rockwell and Husband David of Edinburg, Frances Snell of St Johnsville, and Kimberly Chambers and Husband Scott of Unadilla; 11 great grandchildren; 1 Great-great-granddaughter, an honorary granddaughter, Doreen Wells; lifetime friends, Bill and Eleanor Hayes of Lassellsville; and many nieces , nephews, and cousin
He was predeceased by a daughter, Audrey Snell
