Thomas Gleason, aged 74, passed away this morning at 9:15 at the home of his son-in-law. Deputy Sheriff Emerson Monk in Lassellsville.
He had been in failing health for some time past.
Mr. Gleason was born in Middlesprite, but had been a resident of the Lassellsville section for fifty years. He was for many years a well known farmer.
The survivors are two daughters, Mrs Monk and Mrs. Peter Cromer of Scotch Bush, 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The funeral willl be held Sunday at 2 at the daughter's home, and 2:30 at the Free Methodist church in Scotch Bush.

Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Peter Cromer and Mrs. Emerson Vunk, Scotch Bush; eight sisters, Mrs. Alice May of Scotch Bush, Mrs. Charles Baker of Herkimer, Mrs. Aaron Gray and Mrs. Clinton Miles of Lassellsvllle, Mrs. George Dinegart, Mrs. Alonzo Smith, Mrs. Arthur Cromer and Miss Lydia Cretser, St. Johnsvllle, and two brothers, Benjamin Cretser, St. Johnsvllle, and Ralph Cretser, Scotch Bush.
The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Free Methodist church at Scotch Bush, and the pastor, the Rev. Hazen Peters, will officiate.

LITTLE FALLS — Joseph Gleason, 63, a brother of Mrs. Margaret Singer and Patrick Gleason of this city, died April 19, 1955 at his home in Seneca Falls.
He was a native of Little Falls, born Jan. 20, 1892, a son of John and Adeline Crester Gleason. About 30 years ago he moved to Seneca Falls where he was employed as a molder in the Cook-Hammond foundry.
He married Miss Josephine Backta in St. Mary's Church in Little Falls.
Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Joseph Gleason Jr., Seneca Falls; George W. Gleason,
Burbank, Cal.; and Harry Gleason, Ovid; a daughter, Mrs. Theresa Fornesia, Seneca Falls;
seven grandchildren- and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 8:30 this morning in Seneca Falls.

Ambrose Miles
St Johnsville-Ambrose Miles, 72, lifelong resident of Scotch Bush, Town of Ephratah, died Apr 21, 1947 in his home. He had been ill several months.
Mr Miles was born Feb 19 1875 in the Town of Ephratah, a son of Danile Miles and Nancy Cretser Miles. He operated a farm in Scotch Bush all of his life and each spring worked a good sized sugar bush, from which he produced maple syrup and maple sugar.
On Feb 7 1906, Mr Miles was marred to Gertrude Frederic who survives with two daughters, Hazel and Lorretta Miles, both at home; one son Harold Miles at home; two sisters Mrs Lulu Cromer, St Johnsville and Mrs Rosa Bronk, Johnstown and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 2 pm tomorrow in the home in Scotch Bush. The Rev HH Hutt, Saratoga Springs, will officiate and burial will be in St Johnsville Cemetery.

Her husband, Ambrose Miles, died April 21, 1947. Mrs. Miles was a gloveworker by occupation. She had resided in the same vicinity since 1906 and attended the Methodist church.

Lyman Cromer of 23 South Melcher street, passed away at 8:30 yesterday morning at the Nathan Littauer hospital, Gloversville, where be had been a patient for five days. Death was due to pneumonia.
He was 67 years of age, having been born in the Town of Ephratah August 6, 1865, a son of Peter and Martha Ann Smith Cromer. Most of his life was spent in the locality where he was born, but for the past two years had resided in Johnstown.
Mr. Cromer was a member of the Free Methodist church of Scotch Bush.
The survivors are his widow, Mrs. Lula Cromer; two sons, Arthur Cromer, Scotch Bush, and Mahlon Cromer, St. Johnsville; two brothers, Stephen and Wesley Cromer of Scotch Bush; also several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held from the late home Sunday afternoon at 1 and from the Free Methodist church of Scotch Bush at 2. The Rev. Hasen Peters, pastor, will officiate, interment will be made in the Scotch Bush cemetery.

Funeral services for Iasiah Duesler will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 at the home, 108 Broad street Rev. Clarence L. Schaertel, pastor of the St. James Lutheran church, will officiate. Interment will be made in the family plot in the Ephratah cemetery.
Mr. Duesler, 66, died yesterday morning ait his home after a lingering illness of complication of diseases. He was born in the Town of Ephratah where he resided until 16 years ago when he moved to Gloversville. He worked as a carpenter as long as his health permitted. He was a member of the Odd Fellows.
The survivors are his wife, Mrs. Alberta Duesler, of this city; one daughter, Mrs. J, Geweye, of Fonda and three grandchildren.

Mrs Clifford Crouch, wife of Rev. Clifford Crouch of Camden, N. Y. passed away in the Nathan Littauer Hospital on Sunday morning at 6:50. She had been ill but a short time.
She was born in Scotch Bush on December 25, 1890, where she resided up to the time of her marriage. She was a school teacher prior to her marriage. Mrs Crouch was also a member of the Free Methodist church.
Her Christian character, her friendly manner made for her numerous friends throughout the countryside who will mourn her death. In December, 1916, she was united in marriage to Rev. Crouch.
Since their marriage Mr. Crouch received a call to become pastor at the Free Methodist church at Camden. He accepted the call and they have since made their home there.
Besides her husband she is survived by one step-daughter, Julia Crouch; her father, Daniel Miles; one brother, Ambrose Miles and two sisters. Mrs. Lyman Cromer of Scotch Bush and Mrs. Isiah Duesler of Gloversville; also three nieces and three nephews.
The funeral is to be held from the home in Scotch Bush Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock and from the Free Methodist church at 2 o'clock. Mr. Hanson, presiding elder in the church, will officiate. Burial will be made in the Fikel cemetery at Scotch Bush.

BROADALBIN -- Rev. Clifford C. Crouch, 77, of 20 Union St., a retired Free Methodist minister, died late yesterday afternoon at his home after several months of failing health.
Born Aug. 11, 1885 in Chittenango Station, Madison county, he was ordained as a preacher in the Free Methodist Church in Sept. 1913 by Bishop Wilson T. Hogue in Cortland, and two years later was ordained as a minister by Bishop Burton R. Jones at Fulton.
Rev. Mr. Crouch served churches in Painter Run, Pa., Gouverneur, De. Grass, Scotch Bush and Camden before retiring 37 years ago when he came to Broadalbin. He was employed by the Broadalbin Knitting Mill until retiring about 10 years ago.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Grace Howe Crouch, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Robert W. Halgas funeral home. The Rev. Seymour Lawton Northville, of the Evangelical Wesleyan Church of America will officiate. Burial will be in Union Mills cemetery.

Jones Rites To Be Held Upcounty
ST. JOHNSVILLE — Funeral services for Bertram Jones. 68, a native of Amsterdam, will be held in St. Johnsville Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Jones died Sunday evening in St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam, where he had been a patient for a week.
Born in Amsterdam on Aug. 3, 1900, he had resided in St. Johnsville the greater part of his life. He had been employed for many years by the New York Central Railroad as an iron worker, retiring in 1961.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Cretser, to whom he was married in St. Johnsville; one son, Edward Jones, St. Johnsville; and cousins.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home. The Rev. Henry K. Johnson, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be made in the St. Johnsville Cemetery-

Bertram Jones and Miss Blanche Cretser, both of St Johnsville, were united in marriage at the parsonage of the officiating-clergyman, the Rev. B. E. Fake, Saturday night. Sept. 27th. at 8 o'clock. St Johnsville--Mrs Maud Cromer, 83, widow of Wesley Cromer, died Monday in her home on Church Rd, Scotch Bush.
She was born Oct 28 1877 in the Town of Ephratah, the daughter of Leonard and Hattie Lassell Cretser. She had resided nearly all her life in the Scotch Bush area and was a retired glovemaker.
She was married to Westley Cromer on Jan 1 1896 in St Johnsville Methodist Church.
She leaves a son, Oscar, Scotch Bush, a sister Mrs. Grace Hayes in Florida, two brothers, Lloyd Cretser, of Johnstown and Milo Cretser of St Johnsville
The funeral was conducted yesterday from the Lull Funeral Home here with the Rev Martin Fellows, pastor of the Scotch Bush Methodist Church, officiating, assisted by the Rev Charles Mongomery, pastor of the St Johnsville and Lassellsville Methodist Churches.
Burial will be in Michael Cemetery, Lassellsville in the spring.

ST. JOHNSVILLE — Wesley Cromer, 89, died at his home in Scotch Bush. Wednesday evening following a long illness.
Born in the Town of Ephratah, May 25, 1870. he was the son of Peter and Martha Ann Smith Cromer.
He lived most of his life in the vicinlty of Scotch Bush. He was a retired farmer.
He married the former Maude Cretser on Jan. 1, 1896 in the Methodist Church parsonage in St. Johnsville. The Rev. George Wood officiated.
Survivors besides his wife are one son, Oscar Cromer, Scotch Bush, seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Lull funeral home, St. Johnsville, with the Rev. Charles Montgomery, pastor of St. Johnsville Methodist church, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Martin Fellows of Scotch Bush. Burial will be in Mykel Cemetery, Ephratah in the spring.

St Johnsville--Mrs Minnie H Bowen, 91. of 7 Center St, an active member of several local organization, died Nov 12 in Little Falls Hospital.
She was born in the town of Oppenheim, daughter of James H and Ida Bolster Cline. She was married to John A Cross in 1895. Mr and Mrs Cross had operated a farm in Oppenheim and later a tourist home here. Mr Cross died in 1923. She later was married to Charles Bowen who died some years ago. She was a member of Untied Methodist Church and its WSCS, Marques Chapter, IES, St Johnsville Chapter DAR of which she was a past regent, the Community Club and the Kings Daughters Society.
She leaves a son Loren Cross, St Johnsville; and a brother Roland Cline, Dolgeville.
The funeral will be 2 Friday from Smith Funeral Home with burial in St Johnsville Cemetery.
