  Edward D Miles, 83, of St. Johnsville, died last night in Little Falls Hospital where he dah been a patient since Sunday.
  Born in the Town of Ephratah on June 1, 1877, he was the son of Timothy ann Arrilla Hamblin Mines. For 40 years he owned abd operated a farm north of Lassellsville and for the past two years had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. William Weaver in St. Johnsville.
  He was a member of the Lassellsville Methodist Church. He was married to Lydia Argersinger Oct. 14, 1898. She died on Oct. 13, 1946.
  He was a director of the Fulton-Montgomery County Mutual Fire Insurance Company for the last 25 years.
  Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Weaver, St. Johnsville; two grandsons, Kermit Weaver and LaVerne Weaver, both of St. Johnsville;six great grandchildren, and nephew and one niece.

- ILION -- Arthur R. Lauer, 82, of 35 W. Prospect Street, a retired machine setter for Sperry - Rand Univac, died Friday. He was married to Fannie Weaver, who died in 1969. Survivors include his daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Paula) Fury, of Poughkeepsie, one half brother in Germany, eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
  The funeral is 1:00 P.M. Monday, from the Applegate Funeral Home, Ilion. Calling hours are Sunday 2-4 and 7-9.

  Lester Weaver, 81, of Phelps Street, died early this morning at the Fulton County Infirmary where he had been a patient since Oct. 26.
  He was born in the Town of Ephratah on June 2, 1895, the son of Jesse and Delia Weaver. He received his education in the Scotch Bush schools and resided most of his life in the area.
  He married the former Amanda Miles in April 1917 and she died Dec. 18, 1966.
  He was employed by the former G. Levor and Company, retiring in 1960.
  Mr. Weaver was of the Methodist faith.
  Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Helen Dinehart, of Gloversville; two granddaughters, nieces, nephews and cousins.

  Born in Lassellsville on July 23, 1902, she had lived in Gloversville most of her life.
  She was a member of the First Methodist Church.
  She had been a glove maker for many years.

  Raymond Weaver, 79, of 8 East Decker Street, died at 2:30 yesterday afternoon at Johnstown Hospital where he had been a patient since Dec. 3. He had been in failing health for four years.
  Born in Ephratah  Jan. 9, 1897, he was the son of Jesse and Delia Miles Weaver.
  He attended schools in Scotch Bush and was a lifelong county resident. He was employed as a machinist by the White Mop Wringer Company in Fultonville until his retirement in 1966.
  His first wife, Mrs. Bessie Finch Weaver, died in 1931. In 1946 he married Mrs. Bertha Smith Tilton, who survives. Survivors, in addition to his wife, are a son, Carlton Weaver of Inglewood, Calif.; two stepsons,
Earl Tilton of Plant City, Fla. and Charles Tilton of Johnstown; a stepdaughter, Miss Jane Tilton of Rome: a
brother, Lester Weaver of Gloversville; two grandchildren, two nieces and cousins.

  Leo Rockerfeller, who has been an Invalid for several years, died Thursday morning, aged 27 years. He was a son of Henry Rockerfeller, and is also survived by his widow, a daughter of Philip Weaver, one young son and two daughters, one brother, Henry Rockerfeller and two sisters, Miss Rennle Rockerfeller and Mrs. Pasdingdon, and his grandfather. Sylvenus Rockerfeller, all of St. Johnsvllle.

  Announcement was made yesterday of the marriage of Miss Alice G. Smith and Bertram H. Rockerfeller, which took place in Fultonville, September 3, 1938. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Harry E. Christiana, pastor of the Reformed church of that village, and former pastor of the local Reformed church. Mr. and Mrs. Harry C, Smith, this village, were the attendants. Mr. Smith is a brother of the bride.
  The nuptials were undisclosed, even to the families and most intimate friends of the young couple, until yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Rockefeller have taken up their residence at 610 Albany street. Little Falls.
  The bride, who is the daughter of Adelbert Smith, this village, attended St. Johnsville High school and was graduated from the nurses training clasa of Amsterdam City hospital. For some time she has been employed as nurse in the office of Dr. George A. Burgin. entering Dr. Burgin's employ while he was located here, and resuming her work for him when he took up practice in Little Falls after his return from European study.
  Mr. Rockerfeller, son of Mrs William Derocher of this place, attended St. Johnsville High school and is now employed in Hansen's Lzboratory in Little Falls.

  Mr. and Mrs. William Derocher, Hough Street yesterday marked their 25th wedding anniversary.
  Mr. Derocher was a member of Company B of Cohoes, on guard duty at the East Creek railroad bridge in 1916 during World War I, when he met Anna Weaver, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Weaver, who became his wife.
  The marriage was performed on June 4, 1917, by the Rev. Mr. Perkins, who then was pastor of St. John's Reformed Church. They have spent 23 of their 25 years of married life in the same house on Hough Street
  Both Mr. and Mrs. Derocher have been employed for more than a score of years in the local plant of the Little Falls Felt Shoe Company.

  St Johnsville — Mrs. Stella W. Ruller, 73, of 8 Washington St., died yesterday in Little Falls Hospital.
  She was born in Lassellsville, daughter of Philip and Elvia Weaver. She was married to Alden Ruller in 1906. He died last August
  Mrs. Ruller was a member of St Pauls Lutheran Church and the St. Johnsville Firemen's Auxiliary.
  She leaves three brothers, Floyd, Harry and Harold Weaver, all of St. Johnsille, and a sister. Mrs. Lena Hamilton, Fort Plain, RD.
  The funeral will be at 2 tomorrow from the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Herman Briele. pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Johnsville Cemetery.*

  Alden Ruller, Popular St. Johnsville Restaurateur, Expires - in Hospital
  ST. JOHNSVILLE—Alden ''Boone" Rullcr, 72', widely known as an oldtime ball player and veteran fireman and for many years a restaurateur here, died unexpectedly Sunday in Little Falls Hospital, only a few hours after being admitted there.
  He had been under treatment for a heart condition, although he had been working regularly. Stricken
more seriously ill early Sunday, he drove to Little Falls to consult a doctor. and his condition was such that he was taken at once to the hospital.
  Mr. Ruller was born in Johnstown on March 19. 1889. a son of Paul and Lidia Gustin Rullcr. He had spent the greater part of his life in St. Johnsville and as a young man became prominently identified here with baseball. He was one of the valley's most able shortstops for many years. After hanging up his player's uniform, he served for many years as manager of the St. Johnsville ball clubs.
  He had been a member of the St. Johnsville Volunteer Fire Dept more than 30 years and was also a member of the B.P.O. Elks in Little Falls. He had served for a considerable time as a Republican committeeman of the town.
  For two score years he was active in the operation of restaurants and grills here. Later, he was employed in the Flks Club in Herkimer and various other establishments in the area. Recently, he had been employed at the Van Hornesville Bowling Alleys. During the war, he worked for the Remington Arms Co., in Ilion.
  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Stella Weaver Ruller; five sisters, Mrs. Anna Wittenbeck, St. Johnsville;
Mrs. Emma Johnson. Syracuse; Mrs. Daisy Wittenbeck, Utica: Mrs. Maude Rider and Mrs. Florence Nellis. both of St. Johnsville; two brothers. Milo Ruller of Glovcrsville and LeRoy Ruller of Herkimer: and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
  The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 at the Smith funeral home here. The Rev. Herman Briele, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be made in St. Johnsville Cemetery.

  Mr. and Mrs. Alden Ruller of Washington Street, observed their 45th wedding anniversary on
March 14.
  Miss Stella Weaver, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Weaver, and Mr. Ruller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ruller, were married March 11, 1906, in the parsonage of Grace Christian Church here. The Rev. H. G. Rockwell, who then was pastor, performed the ceremony. The late Mr. and Mrs. Leo Rockefeller were the attendants, Mrs. Rockefeller being a sister of Mrs. Ruller.
  Mr. Ruller is proprietor of the grill bearing his name at the corner of East Main and Washington Streets. He also is chief of the St. Johnsville Volunteer Fire Department.
  The many friends of the couple will extend felicitations.

  Cliniton Fuller, Aged Seven Years, Dies of Typhoid Fever ----- ----- of the Town
  St Johnsville. Oct. 13. - Clinton the seven-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Alden Ruller died this morning at the Pralme(?) Weaver residence, corner of East ---- and Mechanic streets of typhoid fever, after an illness of about a month. A child of Leo Rockerfeller who also resides there is quite ill. Ex-Sheriff Hiram (?) Pralme(?) formerly of Fulton County who has occupied the premaces for abour 20 years and who is quite decrepit was removed today in quarters where he will receive the care and attention that humanity dictates. It is said that the other occupants of the premises propose to vacate immediately in which case the non-resident parties now (?) can or at least control the property, will be responsible for it's condition.

  ST. JOHNSVILLE —A luncheon was served a few days ago at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Dodson, Bridge street, in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary. A large number of relatives and friends were present, and a most enjoyable time was had.
  Mr. and Mrs. Dodson are well known local residents. Mrs. Dodson, prior to her marriage, was Miss Susan Weaver, daughter of Mrs. Elva Weaver of Mechanic street and the late Philip Weaver. Mr. and Mrs. Dodson have seven children and two grandchildren. The honored couple was presented many gifts of silver.

  ST. JOHNSVILLE - Mrs. Susan Dodson, 70, wife of Ernest H. Dodson, died Friday night in Little Falls Hospital, where she bad been a patient for seven days.
  SHE WAS BORN in Johnstown Aug, 5, 1890, a daughter of Philip and Elva Weaver, and had spent the greater part, of her life In this village.

  ST. JOHNSVILLE, June 13, Miss Lois E. Dodson, became the bride of George F. Thomas, Jr., Little Falls, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in her parents' home. The Rev. Roland C Updyke of Grace Congregational Christian Church officiated.
  The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Dodson, while Mr. Thomas is a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Thomas, Sr., Little Falls. The living room of the Dodson home, In which the young people spoke their vows, was decorated with ferns, Iris and mixed garden flowers.
  The bride wore a gray suit, with white accessories, and an orchid corsage. She was attended by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Gerwood Dodson, who wore a gray pin stripe silk suit, with white accessories and a gardenia corsage. Gerwood Dodson, the bride's brother, was best man.
  The ceremony was followed by a reception for a large number of guests, In the Community House. The newlyweds left for a trip to Lake George, and upon their return will reside at 11 East Liberty Street.
  The bride's going away outfit was a blue gabardine suit, with white accessories, and an orchid corsage.
  Guests at the wedding and reception were from Herkimer, Utica, Little Fails, Fort Plain and St Johnsville. The bride's gift to her attendant was a string of pearls, while the bridegroom gave a wallet and key case to the best man.
  Mrs. Thomas was gradauted from St Johnsville High School in the Class of 1944, and is employed in the local plant of the Little Falls Felt Shoe Company. Mr. Thomas, who attended Little Falls High School, is employed by the Melrose Slipper Company, Little Falls.
  Mr. Thomas Is also a veteran of World War II. He was wounded in France and Is the holder of several citations. He held the rank of corporal upon his release from service.
  Mrs. Thomas was guest at a variety shower given by her mother and by her matron of honor, and also was given a luncheon by her co-workers In the Felt Shoe plant.

There were about 35 guests present, and the evening was spent with cards. Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton received a number of nice gifts, including a floor lamp from Mrs. Hamilton's fellow workers In the plant of the St. Johnsville Dress company.
  Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Hamilton was Miss Lena Weaver. Mr. Hamilton although out of the wrestling game for the past few years, was at one time one of the best known mat men in the Mohawk valley.

Miss Lucille Peck, a student nurse in Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, who wore a drees of powder blue, with white accessories, and had a corsage of red roses. James Christman, Town of St Johnsville, was best man.
  Mrs. Frank Don played the traditional wedding music The ceremony was followed by a dinner at the Antlers. Later the young couple left for a brief trip.

  Wesley D. Smith, 85, died Saturday morning in the Little Falls Hospital, following a brief illness. He had resided for many years with a son, Wesley Smith, Jr., on Cottage Street in St. Johnsville, but for the past three months had been living with a son, Robert Smith, Fort Plain RD 3.
  He was born in Albany, Aug. 15, 1884, the son of Charles W. and Mary Weaver Smith. The early years of his life were spent in the Town of Oppenheim where he followed the occupation of farming. Later he moved to St. Johnsville and was employed for many years by the Mohawk Condensed Milk Company, on North Division Street.
  His wife, the former Edith Bellinger Ostrom, died in 1944. The survivors are two sons: Wesley, Jr. of St. Johnsville, and Robert of Fort Plain, RD 3; one daughter, Mrs. Virgil (Lelah) Claus, St. Johnsville RD 2; one step-son, Harold Ostrom, Dolgeville; one step-daughter, Mrs. Herman (Mabel) Ortlieb, Little Falls RD; one sister, Mrs. John (Ruth) Nash, St. Johnsville; 20 grandchildren, 12 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
  Services were held at 2 this afternoon from the Lull Funeral Home, with Rev. Henry K. Johnson, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in the St Johnsville Cemetery in the spring.

  Mrs. Edith Mae Smith, 57, wife of Wesley D. Smith, town of Oppenheim. died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herman Ortlieb, on the Little Falls-Dolgeville road. She had been at her daughter's home for the past week.
  Mrs. Smith was born in Little Falls on June 28. 1887, a daughter of Stephen and Myra Stockholm Bellinger. She was first married to James Ostrom, who died 28 years ago. Later she was married to Wesley Smith and they had resided in the town of Oppenheim for the past 25 years.
  Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Ortlieb, in Manheim, and Mrs. Virgil Claus, town of Oppenheim; three sons, Harold Ostrom, of Dolgevllle. and Wesley Smith. Jr., and Robert Smith, both of Oppenheim: her mother, Mrs. Stephen Bellinger, and one sister, Mrs. Howard Rung, both of Fort Erie, Canada.
  The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2 at the Smith heme in Oppenheim. Rev. Florence L. Hamilton of the Inghams Mills church offiated. Burial was in Prospect View cemetery in this village.
