  James E. Richey of 294 Michigan avenue died Saturday after a long Illness.
  A NATIVE OF Lassellsvllle, Mr. Richey lived In Schenectady most of his life. He retired In 1947 from General Electric Co. with whom he had been employed as a machinist many years.
  He was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club and the Order of the Maccabees.
  Survivors Include his wife, Mrs Kate Keller Richey; a daughter, Miss Clara Richey, Schenectady; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Bowdlsh, New Berlin; and several nieces and nephews.
  Private funeral services will be held at Baxter's funeral parlors with Rev. G. Lewis Porter, pastor of the Albany Street Methodist Ohurch, officiating. Burial will be In Vale cemetery.

  Mrs. Kate Keller Richey of 294 Michigan Ave. died yesterday at St. Clare's Hospital after a long illness.
  Born in Germany, Mrs. Richey had lived in Schenectady 60 years. She was the widow of James E. Richey.
  Survivors include a daughter, Miss Clara Richey of Schenectady.
  The funeral service will be held at Baxter's Funeral Home at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Delbert Smith, pastor of the Albany Street United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Vale cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

  Miss Helen A. Janczuk. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Janczuk of Van Hornesville, RD, was united in marriage, Saturday, September 20, to Arthur W. Bowdish, Jr., son of Mrs. Bertha Bowdish of Van Hornesville, and the late Arthur E. Bowdish, formern Gloversville resident.
  The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Michael E. Mahoney, at the recroty of the St. Thomas church at Cherry Valley.
  The bride, given in marriage by her father, was gowned in white satin, made with modified train and carried a prayer book and white carnations and stephanatia.  The maid of honor, Miss Dorothy Kytenes of Utica. wore a pale blue taffetta gown and carried a nosegay of pink carnations. The ring bearer, Virginia Janczuk, sister of the bride was dressed in white satin. Edward Straini of Amsterdam was the best man.
  The bride's mother, wore a black lace dress and corsage of rose buds and the bridegroom's mother fuschia pink with black accessories, and a corsage of white pom poms.
  A reception followed the ceremony at the Old Mill House, Richfield Springs. The couple spent their honeymoon in northern New York and Canada and have taken up their residence on the Fu-Bow farms, Van Hornesville where the bridegroom is employed on the job training for farming. He is a graduate of Gloversville High school and enlisted in the Army Air corps where he served four years as mechanic and assistant crew chief on B-17 and B-24 bombers.

  Mrs. Mae Gersak, 73, wife of John Gersak. 334 West Fulton St.. Gloversville died Thursday night in the Littauer Hospital where she had been a patient for one week.
  She was born in Ephratah and had resided in Gloversville for 45 years, having been employed as a glove worker until her retirement a few years ago. Mrs. Gersak was a member of the Fremont Street Methodist Church.
  Survivors besides her husband are one daughter. Mrs. Albert Vanosky, Perth; one brother, Daniel Crouse, Gloversville; three grandchildren and several nieces and
nephews.
  The funeral will be held at the Walrath & Bushouer funeral home, Gloversville, Monday at 2 p.m., the Rev. Luther Patton of the Fremont Street Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

  The Rev. Calvin F. Lofstrom, pastor of the Wells church, and the Very Rev. Robert K. Baltch, pastor of St. Casimir's Church, Amsterdam, officiated.
  The bride is the daughter of John Gersak of Gloversville and the late Mae Gersak. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Ruby B. Parker of .Northville and the late Mr. Elmer Berry.
   Mrs. Elsie M. Jarek of Schenectady and Rudy Peters of Speculator attended the
couple.
   A reception for the immediate families followed at Hubb's Point Restaurant, Northville RD.
  The bride is employed by St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam, as a switchboard operator. The bridegroom is employed as park foreman by the New York State Dept. of Conservation at Northville.
  Mr. and Mrs. Berry are residing at Star Route, Wells.

  Elmer Crouse, 67, of 20 South William Street, died at 8:05 last night in Littauer Hospital, where he had been a patient six weeks.
  He lived in the Wayne apartment dwelling which was gutted by fire over the weekend.
  Mr. Crouse was born in Oppenheim, Oct 8, 1807, son of Aaron and Maria (Gray) Crouse.
  He was a farmer by occupation and spent most of his life in the Town of Johnstown, removing to this city four years ago. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
  The survivors are his wife, Harriet: five daughters, Mrs. Robert Ford. Albany, Mrs. Leland Haggerty, St. Johnsvllle, Mrs. Margaret Samek, Mrs. Alida Tretola and Mrs. Alma Dambrosi, Johnstown; two sons, Raymond and Harold, Johnstown: two sisters, Mrs. John Gersak and Mrs. Nina Peterson, Gloversville: one brother, Daniel, Gloversville: 10 grandchildren, one great grandchild.

  A lifelong area resident, she had been in failing health 19 years.
  Born July 27,1893, in the Town of Ephratah, she was the daughter of Willard and Elvira Martin.
  Mrs. Crouse was married on June 14, 1910, to Elmer Crouse, who died May 16,1955.

  Funeral services for Dell Weaver, 91, of Dolgeville who died Sunday in the Little Falls Hospital, were held at 2 this afternoon at the Jacobson Funeral Home.
  Mr. Weaver was born Aug. 19, 1867 in Caroga, the son of Ervin and Ann Shet Weaver. He had been a resident here for more than 30 years.
  Mr Weaver was a member of the Full Gospel Church, Salisbury Center.
  He was married Aug 8, 1894, to Viola Miles, who survives.
  Othe survivors include eight sons, Roy, Amsterdam; Milford, Dolgeville; Ace, Cranesville; Delbert, Fort Plain; Alfred, Long Beach, Calif. and Bernard; Little Falls.
 Also two daughters, Mrs. Ira Cromer of Johnstown and Mrs. Claude Silver, Dolgeville; 21 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.

  DOLGEVILLE - - Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Weaver, celebrated their 50th wadding anniversary Sunday.  
   They were tendered a surprise dinner party by their children, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Weaver and Asa Weaver of Amsterdam, 81/C, and Mrs. Alfred Weaver and children of Little Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Weaver and children of Oppenheim; Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Weaver and daughter of Oppenheim; Mr. and Mra. Virgil Weaver and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Siver and children and Delbert Weaver, Jr. and daughter, all of Dolgeville.
  The only child not present was Sgf. Milford Weaver, who is stationed in the Hawaiian Islands.
  Out of town guests were: Mrs. Hafey of Little Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Lockwood and children of Little Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hoag and daughter, and Miss Margaret Wahler of Fort Plain.

  Asa Weaver. 57, Scotia, former Amsterdam resident, died Sunday morning at the Glendale Home in Schenectady.
  Mr. Weaver was born in Dolgeville and lived for 25 years in Amsterdam where he was employed by the Collette Mfg. Co. He moved to Scotia a few months ago.  
   Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Viola Weaver, Little Falls; seven brothers, Milford, Ernest, Roy and Virgil Weaver, Dolgeville, Bernard Weaver, Little Falls, Adalbert Weaver, Fort Plain and Alfred Weaver, Long Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Claude Cifer, Dolgeville, and Mrs. Ira Cromer, Johnstown, and several nieces and nephews.
  The funeral will be held at,the Jacobson funeral home in Dolgeville Wednesday at 2 p.m. and burial will be in Scotch Bush Cemetery at Lassellsville. The funeral home will be open tonight and Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

  Mrs. Delia Weaver, aged forty years, wife of Willard Snell of St. Johnsvllle, died Thursday morning of pneumonia. Mrs. Snell moved to St. Johnsvllle from Lassellsville about one year ago. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church of St. Johnsvllle, and of the Ladies' Aid society.

  ST. JOHNSVILLE, May 28.— William Weaver, 60, of 38 1/2, North Division Street, died Monday morning in Rosewell Memorial Institute, Buffalo. He had been a patient there since March 21.
  Mr. Weaver was born in Lassellsville on April 16, 1887, a son of the late Irvin and Sarah Weaver. He had spent much of his life in this village, and for the past five years had been employed by the Palatine Dyeing Company, here.
  He is survived by his wife, the former Alice Gray: four stepchildren, William Gray, St. Johnsville, Harold and Kenneth Gray, Little Falls, and Mrs. Dorothy Kretser, Fort Plain; 10 grandchildren; two sisters. Mrs. Elizabeth Smith and Mrs. Carrie Ruller. both of Gloversville; a half-brother, Delbert Weaver, Dolgeville, and several nieces and nephews.
  The funeral was held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Smith funeral home, here. The Rev. Percy A. Paris, rector of Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Little Falls officiated, and burial was made in West St. Johnsville Cemetery.


Alice Hibbard

  ST. JOHNSVILLE - Mrs. Alice Weaver, 71, who had been a patient in Little Falls hospital for the past two weeks, died there at 10:30 Tuesday morning.
  The deceased's maiden name was Alice Hlbbard, and she was born on February 16, 1877, at Seneca Falls. She was twice married. Her first husband was Edward Gray, and the wedding took place in Little Falls. Mr. Gray died in 1913. In 1914, the deceased was united in marriage to the late William Weaver. Mr. Weaver passed away about one and one-half years ago.
  Mrs. Weaver had lived in St. Johnsville for more than 40 years.
  She leaves three sons, Kenneth and Harold Gray of Little Falls, and William Gray of St. Johnsville; a daughter, Mrs. Carl Kretser of Fort Plain ; two sisters, Mrs. Warrick Smith of Seneca Falls, and Mrs. George Ashfleld of Little Falls: also several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 from the Smith funeral home with the Rev. P. A. Paris of Emmanuel Episcopal church officiating. Burial will be in West St. Johnsville cemetery.

  Miss Mercedes Atala, the maid of honor, wore a dress of pink wool Jersey with black accessories and a shoulder corsage of pink roaes. Paul Smith, brother of the bridegroom, was the best man. The attendants were remembered with personal giftes.
  The mother of the bride wore a black printed crepe dress with black accessories, while the mother of the bridegroom wore a black crepe dress with black accessories. They wore corsages of red roses.
  A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, which was largely attended. Later the young couple left on a wedding trip to New York city and upon their return will reside In Gloversville.

  Funeral services for Edward Patrick Smith, 207 North Main street will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 at the Grace Congregational Christian church in St Johnsville. Rev. Albert B.   Mr. Smith, 49, died suddenly at his home here at 11:15 Wednesday evening. He had been in poor health for the past month. He was born in New York city on May 25, 1883, and moved to St Johnsville about 27 years ago. He resided in the village until two years ago when he secured employment as a silk cutter In the Kingsboro Silk mills in Gloversville, The survivors are his wife, Mrs. Libble Kraft Smith, of Gloversville; one son, Paul Smith and two stepsons, Leland and Fred Kraft, of Gloversville; his mother, Mrs. Michael Smith, of Long Island city.

  Mr. and Mrs. Milo Ruller of 41 Third Avenue tomorrow will observe their 57th wedding anniversary.
  Ruller, a semi-retired carpenter, was born in St. Johnsville. Mrs. Ruller, the former Carrie Weaver, was born in Lassellsville.
 The couple was married June 30, 1915, at the home of the bride's sister and brother-inlaw, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kraft at St. Johnsville. Both now are deceased. The attendants at the wedding were Miss Louise Mills, also deceased, and George
Shorey of St. Johnsville.
  Mr. and Mrs. Ruller have resided in Gloversville the last 43 years. Ruller worked many years as a carpenter, both for contractors and in selfemployment. He likes to keep things in repair at home and still does some outside carpenter work.
  Mrs. Ruller likes to cook and bake and does her own housework.
  The couple has two sons, Bertram Ruller and J. Vernon Ruller, both of Gloversville. There are eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
   Mr. and Mrs. Ruller plan to observe their anniversary quietly at their home tomorrow.
