Charles Hewitt In Poor health for some time, Chas. Hewitt, 79, died at his home in East Oatka Monday afternoon around 4:30. He had suffered a stroke about a week previously.
Charles Irving Hewitt, one of two children of William Lorenzo and Mary E. Butler Hewitt, was born December 19,1866, in Leicester. He had spent all of his life in farming, practically all of it in this vicinity.
He is survived by his wife of third marriage, the former Lillian Oaks. His two other wives preceded him in death. Besides his wife he is also survived by two sons, Earl of Binghamton and Arthur on the homestead. A third son, Herbert, died some time ago as did a sister.
Funeral services will be held from the home at 1:30 Thursday.
