Albert W. Berner, 64, of 138 Davidson St., Buffalo, a former Middleport resident, died Tuesday (June 28, 1966) at Sisters Hospital. Buffalo, after a lengthy illness.
The son of Mrs. Minnie Lasole Berner of Middleport and the late Albert Berner, he was born May 22, 1902.
He was employed by the Burke Detective Agency in Buffalo.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his widow, Gertrude Comrie Berner; a daughter,
Mrs. Leroy (Johanna) Sautter; one son, Robert J. Berner and four grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Grace Wooden of Schenectady, Mrs. Jeanette Dietrich and two brothers, Raymond and Calvin Berner.
Friends may call at the Carlton A. Ulrich Funeral Home Inc., 3272 Bailey Ave., Buffalo,
where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow.
The family will be present from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Miss Jean Kietzman, daughter of Mrs. Florence Kietzman of North Tonawanda, was married to Alfred Penkacik, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Penkacik of Buffalo, in a double ring ceremony at 7:30 p.m. May 14, 1949 in Redeemer Lutheran Church, The Rev. H. G.
Kleiner officiated.
The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, chose a period gown of white slipper satin in princess lines. It was fashioned with a sweetheart neckline, an Elizabethan collar of Chantilly Lace, long sleeves, forming points over the wrists, and tiny self-covered buttons extending down the back of the fitted bodice. Panels of Chantilly lace extended down the front and back of the full skirt and also trimmed the circular Cathedral length train. Her fingertip veil of imported illusion was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms, she carried a bouquet of white gladiolus and lily of the valley.
Miss Lorraine Radke, cousin of the bride, was maid-of-honor. Her gown was of light green marquisette fashioned with shirred bodice and full skirt. She wore a picture hat and gloves to match the gown, and carried a bouquet of pink gladiolus. The bridesmaid, Miss June Kietzman, also a cousin of the bride, wore a matching gown of yellow and carried peach gladiolus.
The ring bearer was Gerald Adamczyk, nephew of the bridegroom.
Casimer Penkacik, brother of the bridegroom, was the best man. Clifford McDonald and Franklin Carr were ushers.
The mother of the bride was attired in a navy blue drees with pink accessories and wore a pink gardenia corsage. The bridegroom's mother chose a grey suit with blue accessories and a blue gardenia corsage.
The reception was held in the church parlors immediately folfowing the ceremony, for about 150 people. Guests were present from Syracuse, Buffalo, Kenmore, Niagara Falls and Grand Island.
The bride chose as her going away outfit, a light blue gabardine pin-check suit with navy blue and white accessories.
After a trip to Florida, the bridal couple are at home at 43 Delaware Ave.
Prenuptial parties were given by Miss Lorraine Radke and Mrs. Charles Radke, Mrs. James Harris and Miss Shirley Phillips, Mrs. Stanley Penkacik, Mrs. Matthew Adamczyk, and Mrs. Clifford McDonald, The Rudolph Wurlitzer office girls, and the Redeemer Choir.

Mary A. Comrie, 93, of Collamer, died Thursday at home in the presence of her family. Mary was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area and was the widow of James P. Comrie who died in 1993.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Warner of Collamer, Bette Lou Kelsey of North Carolina; a son, James P. of California; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great- granddaughter.

He was a member of Veterans of World War I and Veterans of Foreign Wars units in San Francicco.
Mr. Lemons is survived by his wife. Mae. Fetters Hot Springs; his daughter, Mrs. Helen Irene Rosenberg, New York, and his mother, Mrs. Janet Bates, Agua Caliente.
The services will be at 11:15 a.m. from Duggan's Mission Chapel, Sonoma. Burial will be in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno.

Irving H. Lake, 71, 64 West Main street, Mohawk, owner and operator of Lake's Restaurant for 35 years, died Friday in the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, Ilion, after a long illness.
He was born in Ephratah, the son of Harry and Eleanor Getman Lake. In 1936 he married Pearl Spencer, who died in 1974)
He was a 50-year member of the Ilion Elks Lodge and attended the Mohawk Reformed Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Harris, Mohawk, and Mrs. Barbara Younglove, Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Ann Johnson, Herkimer; two grandaughters, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. from the Murphy Funeral Home, Mohawk with interment in the Mohawk Cemetery.

MOHAWK — Miss Barbara Lake became the bride of David J. Younglove in an 11 a.m. double ring ceremony Saturday, June 27, in the Mohawk Reformed Church, with the Rev. James W. Benes, pastor, officiatitng.
The new matron is the daughter of Mr: and Mrs. Irving Lake, of of 64 W. Mai St. and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Younglove, of 243 S. Fourth Ave., Ilion.
White Gladiolas and asters with aqua carnations were used as alter decorations. Mrs. Sueron Palmer, organist, provided traditional wedding music.
Miss Barbara Osley, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the Misses Susan Sweet, Sylvia Evans, and Cynthia Evans. Miss Nadine Harris was junior bridesmaid and Pennie Harris, flower girl.
Best man was Russell Wagner. Ushering were Mark Edwards, Dale Edwards, James Cormia and Edward Murray. Master Edwin Hajeris was ring bearer.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a floor length gown of pure silk organza, styled with a high neckline, Empire waist and attached train. The neckline, long sleeves, bodice and train were trimmed with Venetian lace, with the waistline accented with aqua satin ribbon which ended in two bows at the back. Her floral and seed pearl Juliet cap was attached to a bouffant veil, which was also trimmed with aqua satin ribbon. She carried a bouquet of white roses and asters, with aqua carnations.
The maid of honor ware a floor-length gown of orchid dacron and voil, trimmed with aqua. The shirt-waist top featured ruffles down the front and at the neckline. Small buttons of orchid trrimmed the empire waistline and large cuffs of the long sleeves. The full skirt was of large waterlily print. She wore an aqua picture hat and carried an arrangement of white asters, aqua carnations and baby's breath. The bridesmaid’s gowns were of the same style and color. They wore picture hats or orchid and carried the same floral arrangements. The flower girt, dressed identical to the honor attendant, carried a basket of white asters, aqua carnations and baby's breath.
Following a reception from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Top Hat Restaurant, Fort Herkimer, the couple left on a wedding trip to the New England states and Canada. They will make their home in Oswego.
The new bride is a graduate of Mohawk High School and State University College, at Oswego. She will teach in the Pulaski School Sytem this fall. The bridegroom was graduated from Ilion High School and Williams port Community College, Pennsylvania. He is now a senior at State University College, Oswego.
A bridal shower was given by the bridal attendants and another by Mrs. Elizabeth Younglove.
Wedding guests were present from Canada, Alexandria Bay, Oswego, Skaneateles, Williamsport, Pa., and valley towns.

FORT PLAIN—Harold Lake, 63, died early this morning at his home, Fort Plain RD 2 (Ephratah). He had been in failing health for some time.
Mr. Lake was born in Ephratah on Sept. 7, 1905, the son of Harry and Eleanor Getman Lake, and had been a lifelong area resident. For many years he had operated a dairy farm, then from 1951-65 served as superintendent of highways for the Town of Ephratah, Fulton County.
Since 1965 he had been employed at Keymark Corp. in Fonda. He was a member of the Ephratah United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, the former Patricia Andrews, to whom he was married on May 12, 1928; one son, Harold Lake Jr., Ephratah; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Grup of Schuyler Lake, and Mrs. Mary Ella Dodman, Utica; two brothers, Lee Lake, Ephratah and Irving Lake, Mohawk; his stepmother, Mrs. Anha Lake, and a half-sister, Mrs. Anna Aiken, both of Herkimer, also eight grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements by the Swartz Funeral Home in Fort Plain are incomplete.

Mrs, Thelma C. Saltsman, R..N., 62, of 14 McClellan Ave., died Monday morning at 9:10 o'clock at the Amsterdam Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for one week.
Mrs. Saltsman was born at St. Johnsville Dec. 2, 1902, the daughter of Elmer and Bessie Rivenburg Carter. She attended the public school in St. Johnsville and after graduation she entered the Amsterdam City Hospital School of Nursing from which she was graduated in the class of 1925. For the past 17 years, she had been a nurse at the Amsterdam Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Saltsman was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church, Amsterdam city Hospital Nurses' Alunmae Assn., and the American and New York State Nurses' Assn.
She is survived by two sons, Marion C. Saltsman Jr., Gloversville, and Robert J. Saltsman, this city; one daughter, Mrs. A. ST. JOHNSVILLE—A farm accident in the Cooper Hill section near Ephratah. claimed the life of Mr. Leonard Saltsman, 38. Saturday.
MR. SALTSMAN, working alone, had been driving a tractor drawing a disc, in one of the farm fields. When he failed to return to the house at noon, his wife sent their daughter, Jane Marie, 16, to call him. She found him dead beneath the overturned tractor.
Dr. Raymond Wytrwal of this village, coroner, gave a verdict of accidental death.
The tractor had overturned sideways, pinning Mr. Saltsman beneath it, and crushing his chest.
Mr. Saltsman was born in the town of Palatine on July 9, 1913 son of Clarence and the late Pauline Beard Saltsman. He attended the schools in that area, and enlisted in the army in 1930, serving until 1933.
He was married to the former Caroline Frank, who survives, with his daughter Jane, 16; two sons, Duane Leonard, 12, and Terry Lee, 8; a brother, Marion. Amsterdam, and a sister, Mrs. Catherine Walrath, Schenectady.
He was a member of the Gloversville aerie of Eagles.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the Smith funeral home. Rev. Clifford Butterer, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, officiated, and burial was in the St. Johnsville Cemetery.

Miss Caroline Frank, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George L. Frank, who reside on the Johnstown-Caroga Lake road, and George L. Saltsman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Saltsman, 4 John street, St. Johnsville, were united in marriage Saturday evening at 8:30 at the parsonage of the Reformed church. Rev. Edward L. Swartout, Jr., pastor, performed the ceremony.
The attendants were Miss Matilda Frank, sister of the bride, and Harold Loucks, of St. Johnsville.
The bride was attired in green crepe with matching accessories and carried a bouquet of Talisman roses. The maid of honor was gowned in navy blue and carried pink roses.
Following a wedding trip to New York City and Long Island, the young couple will make their home in St. Johnsville.
The bride was graduated from Johnstown High school. Class of 1931. She was employed as bookkeeper by the Richard Evans & Sons glove company.
