Nov. 12 Delbert Getman, 76, formerly of Lockwood, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harry Smith, 506 Fulton street, Waverly, Thursday morning at 10:30 o'clock after an extended illness. He is survived by one son, V. W. Getman of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Smith. Also by several nieces and nephews, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The body reposes at the home of his daughter until noon Sunday, when it will be removed to the Geer funeral home, 462 Fulton street, where funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock. Rev. C. E. Humiston, pastor of the Missionary Alliance church will officiate, assisted by Rev Robert P Kellerman, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church. Burial will in Lockwood cemetery.

RUMSEY, Gordon B.
Age 77, of Waverly, NY went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 27, 2009 after suffering a massive stroke and brain hemorrhage. Gordon was born on June 16, 1932 at his home in Lowman, NY to Walter Earl Rumsey and Edith Mae Williams Rumsey. He was predeceased in death by parents, Walter and Edith; brother, Wilton Earl; sisters, Evelyn Marjorie Crisafi, Marion Edith Gray and her husband, Warren "Jim"; daughters, Linda Jean Spence and her husband, Gerald, Karen Husner and brother-in-law, George Fero. Gordon is survived by his wife, Nila Hettich Rumsey; son, Gordon Earl Rumsey (Shelly) of Adams, NY; daughter, April Renee Griffin (Greg) of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Joyce A. Rumsey of Elmira, NY; in-laws, Vonda Fero, Robert and Donna Hettich; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins. Gordon worked for Thatcher Glass in Big Flats, NY (now Anchor Glass) for over 30 years. A viewing from 9:30-11:00 with service to follow at the Waverly United Methodist Church at 158 Chemung St. in Waverly, officiated by Pastor Anne Bey Canfield. The family will provide flowers. Any donations may be given in Gordon's memory to the Waverly United Methodist Church or to the charity of one's choice.
