  Long-time Taney county resident, Johnnie Getman, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at the age of 83.  Services will be Saturday, September 3, 2022 in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.  Visitation will be from 4:00-5:00 PM and a celebration of Johnnie’s life following at 5:00 PM.
  Johnnie Calvin Getman was born on September 15, 1938 in Walnut Shade, MO to Stephen Curtis Getman & Nellie (Timbrook) Getman. Johnnie attended Spokane schools and after school began his working career with Native Wood Company in Ozark making walnut décor.  Johnnie went on to work for Table Rock Asphalt Construction as a skilled heavy equipment operator, and as manager of their gravel plant for several years.
   Johnnie married RoseMary Kaneaster on November 25, 1960 in Forsyth.  They were blessed with five children whom they raised at their home in Branson.  Johnnie was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, coon hunting and deer hunting.  He was active with the Table Rock Sportsman Association, Finley River Bass Club and Reeds Spring Saddle Club.  He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
  Johnnie was preceded in death by his wife RoseMary; parents; one son, Terry Getman; and twelve siblings including LeRoy Getman, David Getman, Orvil Jones, Chester Jenkins, Fred Getman and sisters Ruby, Tennie, Rosie and Katherine.
  Johnnie leaves behind his children, Marilyn Lindsey and Scott of Willard, MO; Barbara Davis and Richard of Chestnut Ridge; Steve and Jenny Getman of Charleston, South Carolina; Larry and Misty Getman of Higginsville and daughter-in-law, Kelly Getman of Rogersville, MO.  He is also survived by his brother, Oscar Getman of Dadeville; sister, Viola Jones of Springfield; grandchildren, Monica Lund, Sam Getman, Kelsey Getman, Shelby Smith, Chevy Smith, Amy Gleason, Eric Lindsey, John Beck, Brad Davis, Jesse Davis, Bill Davis, McKenzie Getman, Paige Getman, Wyatt Getman and Alex Getman along with twenty-three great-grandchildren.

  Susan RoseMary Getman, 75, of Willard, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in Springfield, Missouri.  Services will be held November 23, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. with visitation beginning at 5:30 p.m.  until service time at the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory in Branson, with Pastor Danny Call officiating.
  RoseMary was born in Branson to Samuel and Lottie Kaneaster on April 13, 1944.  She attended Branson school and then worked at the garment factory in Branson as a seamstress.  She married Johnnie Getman on November 25, 1960 in Forsyth.  RoseMary and Johnnie were blessed with five children and raised their children in Branson.  She enjoyed spending time with her children, fishing with them, spending time on Lake Taneycomo, as well as cooking, sewing, canning, and four-wheeling.  RoseMary was also a proud member of both the Reeds Spring Saddle Club and Mincy Saddle Club where she enjoyed horseback riding and visiting with friends.
  RoseMary is preceded in death by one son Terry Getman, her parents Sam and Lottie Kaneaster, and her beloved brothers and sisters.
  Rosemary is survived by her husband Johnnie of the home, sons, Steve and Jenny Getman of Willard, Larry and Misty Getman of Kansas City.  Daughters Marilyn and Scott Lindsey of Willard, Barbara and Richard Davis of Chestnut Ridge.  Daughter-in-law, Kelly Getman of Lead Hill, AR.  Grandchildren Monica Lund, Sam Getman, Kelsey Getman, Shelby Smith, Chevy Smith, Amy Gleason, Eric Lindsey, John Beck, Brad Davis, Jesse Davis, Bill Davis, McKenzie Getman, Page Getman, Wyatt Getman, and Alex Getman and 17 Great Grandchildren.  RoseMary will be fondly remembered by many friends and family for her loving and giving spirit.
