  Margaret Getman...
  Mrs. Margaret Ann Getman, 82, Baxter Springs, died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at a Baxter Springs nursing home after a long illness.
  Mrs. Getman was born Jan. 26, 1903, at West Mineral. She had lived in Baxter Springs for the past 30 years, moving from Columbus. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Baxter Springs.
  Her husband, Emel Getman died in October 1964.
  Survivors include four sons, Harold Getman, Baxter Springs, Leo Getman, Indianapolis, Ind., Clyde Getman, Wheaton, Mo., and Lawrence Getman, Blue Springs, Mo.; a daughter, Margie Croft, Indianapolis; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at the Fellowship Baptist Church. The Rev. Wayne Williams officiated. Burial, under the direction of Derfelt's Baxter Chapel, was in Baxter Springs Cemetery.
  Grandsons were pallbearers.

  Word has been received of the passing at 8:45 this morning of Clarence L. Getman in Dumas, Texas.  Clarence was born 23 Jan 1910, in Columbus, Kansas, the son of Claude Edward and Mary Jane (Minor) Getman.  He was married 28 June 1928 to Leah Gladys Crawford and had seven children.
  Clarence and Leah were both active in the annual Getman Family Reunion that rotated meetings between Missouri, Kansas and Texas.

  Leah Gladys (Crawford) Getman passed away Sunday 15 September at her home in Dumas, TX.  Leah was born 2 April 1910 in Amarillo, TX, and was married 28 Jun 1928 to Clarence L. Getman.  Leah and Clarence had 7 children.  He husband passed away in December 2002.
  Leah was long active in the Getman family and its history, and in the annual reunion of the Getmans in Kansas, Missouri and Texas.
  Clarence was descended from Claude Edward (b 1875), Peter b 1830), Abraham (b 1792), Christian (b 1772), Christian (b 1734), and Frederick (b 1693).

  Michael Getman, 47, of Amarillo, died Thursday, March 25, 1999.
  Graveside services will be at 1:15 p.m. today in Llano Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today in N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with Dr. Gil Lain officiating.
  Mr. Getman was born and raised in Amarillo. He graduated from Caprock High School in 1970. While in high school, he was president of the Industrial Arts Club.
  He worked in the family concrete business from 1973 until 1989. In 1989, he began working for the U.S. Postal Service. He was editor of the union newspaper, "The Thumbstall."
  He was a member of Paramount Baptist Church and was active in the prayer ministry at the church.
  He married Tammy Fox in 1985 at Amarillo.
  Survivors include his wife; three brothers, Bob Getman and Rod Getman, both of Amarillo and David Getman of Houston.

 MARIE GETMAN GRANT.  Marie Getman Grant, 91, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007.
  Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Second Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
  Marie was born April 20, 1915, in Stippville, Kan., to Edward and Mary Jane Getman.  She was raised in Steppville, then in 1935 moved to Amarillo.  She was married to Earl Grant for 55 years.  He preceded her in death in 1984.  Marie was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God Church.
  She is survived by four daughters, Marjorie Barrett of Amarillo, Sandra Skinner and husband Gary of Lake Tanglewood, and Janet Howard and Sherry Brown and husband Bobby, all of Amarillo; a Son, Tommy Grant and wife June of Amarillo; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
