  Mrs. Hazel Mary Hayman, age 93, of Newnan, died at Atlanta Medical Center on May 24, 2014.
  She was born in Utica, NY, on March 2, 1921, to the late John Connolly and Hazel Hughes Connolly.
  Mary was a secretary for the fire department in NY. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, James "Woody" Hayman,
  Surviving are her husband, Vince Hayman of Newnan; daughters, Judy Aycock (Dale) of Newnan and Susan Stimak (George) of Silver Spring, Maryland; sister, Evelyn Hovey of SC; granddaughter, Heather Aycock of Charlotte, NC.

  A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 30 at St. George Catholic Church with Father Henry Atem officiating.
  Interment will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City.

  James Vincent "Woody" Hayman, age 54, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday evening, January 3, 2012. Mr. Hayman was born in Schenectady, New York on April 7, 1957, son of Vincent Hayman and Hazel Connolly Hayman. He was an artist and was known for his wonderful eye in his photography.
  Survivors include his parents, Vincent and Hazel Hayman, Rome; his fiance', Janice King, Rome; 2 sisters, Mrs. Sue Stimak, Silver Spring, Maryland, and Mrs. Judy Aycock, Newnan; a niece, Heather Aycock; numerous cousins and special friends.
  Memorial service held on Friday, January 6 in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Rome, GA, with Dr. Gary Batchelor officiating.

  Clarence M. Barker, 70, died at 2:15 yesterday morning at his home 29 North street. He had been ill for some time.
  Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 at the home. Rev. Fred L. Decker. D. D., pastor of the First Methodist church, will officiate. The remains will be placed in the Prospect Hill cemetery vault.
  Mr. Barker was born in the Town of Oppenheim and lived for about twenty years in Fonda. He came to Gloversvilte five years ago and worked as a glove cutter. He was a member of the First M. E. church.
  The surviving relatives are his wife, Anna; one sister, Mrs. George Stead; and three brothers, John, Lester and Howard of Gloversville.

  Mrs. Charlotte B. Harding, 58, wife of Lorenzo D. Harding and highly esteemed life long resident of Fulton county, died at 1:20 this morning at her home, 176 North Main street. She had been in failing health several years.
  Born in the Town of Mayfield, Mrs. Harding has resided in Gloversville for the past 40 years. She was a devout member of the First Methodist church.
  Surviving are her husband, Lorenzo D. Harding; a step-son, Clarence Harding, also of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Barker ind Mrs. Earl Putman, both of Gloversville, and several nieces and nephews.
  Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

  Lorenzo D. Harding, 61, died at 3:25 yesterday afternoon at his home, 176 North Main street. He had been in poor health for the past five years.
  Mr. Harding was born August 10, 1873 in Gloversville and spent all his life here. He was a faithful member of the First Methodist church and took an active part in the church as long as his health permitted.
  The survivors are one son, Clarence Harding of Gloversville: two sisters, Mrs. George Veghte of Johnstown and Mrs. William Gehring of Cambridge, Mass.; two brothers, William Harding, of Mayfield and Charles H. Harding of Gloversville; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
  Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 4 at the home. Rev. Fred L. Decker, D. D., pastor of the First Methodist church, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Prospect Hill cemetery.

  George H. Fear, 81, of 10Charles Street was found dead at his home at 6 this morning by a neighbor.
  Dr. William Hesek, a Fulton County coroner, was called and issued a verdict of death due to natural causes.
  Born in Johnstown, July 14, 1880, he was the son of Harry and Anna Frederick Fear and had been a lifelong Fulton County resident. He had lived in Johnstown many years.
  He was employed at Milligan & Higgins Inc., for 48 years, retiring 12 years ago and was married to the former Miss Anna McGowan who died Dec, 17, 1958. Mr. Fear was a member of First Reformed Church.
   Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Skakel of Johnstown; two sons, William Fear of Gloversville and Harry Fear of Chicago, Ill.; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

  Miss Kthel Ludeen Heath, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James F Heath of Tribes Hilt became the bride of Harry Edward Fear, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Fear, 10 Charles street, in St Cecelia's church, Fonda, Saturday afternoon at 2.
  The ceremony was performed by the Rev. James Hart of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conoeption in Albany, a friend of the bride and bridegroom.
  The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white guchess satin in princess lines with a high collar, buttons down the front, long pointed sleeves and a fitted pleated skirt, graduating into a long court train.
  Her hand rolled French illusion veil was caught up to a white satin cloche, trimmed with illusion and pearls. She carried a colonial cascade arrangement of Belmont gardenias and white orchids caught with loops of narrow white satin ribbon.
  For the ceremony, the church was decorated with gladioli and palms and the pews were decorated with white satin bows. A white bridal rug extended down the length of the aisle.
  The traditional wedding music was played by Mrs. Anna A. Solar, organist, of this city, and Miss Alice Pochily, also of this city, sang, "Ave Maria," and "Oh, Beautiful Mother."
  The maid of honor was Miss Christine Sanso, classmate of the bride, of Schodack Landing. She wore a gown of yellow brocade with a matching headpiece and carried a colonial cascade arrangement of orchid pompoms and golden rapture roses tied with broad loops of orchid satin.
  The bridesmaids were Miss Royann Salm of Rome, and Miss Joan Ahr of Albany, both classmates of the bride. Each wore a blue brocade gown with a matching headpiece.
  Miss Cheryl Ann Skakel of this city, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl. She wore a gown of white nylon, trimmed with white velvet ribbon, and a matching bonnet. She carried a basket of pompons and roses.
   The best man was William Fear, brother of the bridegroom, and ushers were James Heath, brother oi the bride, Charles Fredericks, Edward Duffy and Milton Baird.
  The bride's mother wore a navy blue nylon net dress with a blue hat and a corsage of gardenias. The mother of the bridegroom wore a brown faille dress with a green hat and a corsage of gardenias.
  Following the ceremony a reception was held at Nick Stoner Inn for 150 guests.
  For her going away outfit, the bride chose a brown gabardine suit with a lime green melanease hat and a corsage of white orchids.
  They plan to make their residence at 56 Manning Boulevard, Albany.
  The bride is a senior at the New York State College for Teachers at Albany and is a member of Gamma Kappa Phi sorority.
  The bridegroom is a 1944 graduate of Johnstown High school and was graduated from the Lewis Hotel Training School In Wsshlngton, D. C, last year. He now is employed with the DeWitt Clinton Hotel in Albany.
  Out-of-town guests were present from Mechanlcvllle, Watervllet, Schenectady, Albany, Ballston Lake, Rome, Mount Vernon, Warren, Pa., and Glen Ridge. N. J.
  The bridal party was entertained Friday night at the home of the bridegroom's parents. The couple's attendants were presented with gifts at that time.

  Mrs. Carrie (Frederick) Santus, 58, wife of Dean Santus, died at her home, East Main street extention, yesterday morning at 2:10. She had been in ill health since March 18.
  Mrs. Santus was born in the Town of Mayfield, and had been a resident of the Town of Johnstown for the past ten years.
  The survivors, besides her husband, are: one daughter, Mrs. Glenn Buyce, Gloversville, RD 2; two brothers, Russell and Fred Frederick of Gloversville; three sisters, Mrs Helen Ward, Utica, Mrs. Henry Whitting, Broadalbin, and Mrs. Scott Van Dcnburgh, Johnstown, also one grandson and several nieces and nephews.
  The funeral will be held at the A. G. Cole funeral home, Saturday afternoon at 2. Rev. Frank Jay Reid, of the First Methodist church will officiate. Interment will be in Fern Dale cemetery

  The funeral of Mrs. Carrie (Frederick) Santus, 59, wife of Dean Santus, who died at her home, East Main street extention, Thursday was held Saturdayafternoon at 2 at the Cole funeral home.

  Mrs. Santus was born in the Town of Mayfield January 6, 1889, the daughter of Daniel W. A. and Sylvia Jane (Nolan) Frederick.
  There were many floral tributes frome East End club, girls on second floor at Scotsmore Co., East Main street extention and Putman Road neighbors, boys at Bleyl's, Adirondack Leather Workers Union, relatives and friends.
  The bearers were William Stoutner, David Sizer, Glenn Buyce and Warren H. Crane. Interment was at Fern Dale Cemetery.

 - Newspaper Article (Enterprise and News, St Johnsville, NY, Thursday, February 5, 1953)
  Fire early Saturday morning destroyed a farmhouse at Red Bunch about five miles east of Gloversvilie and took the lives of Dean Santus and his wife, May. Mrs. Santus was the sister of Mr. Frank Sprung of this village.
  The blaze was discovered by workmen returning from a late shift at the General Electric plant in Schenectady, and the Mayfield fire department was notified about 12:15 a.m. Later both the Berkshire and Pleasant Square departments responded, but the combined efforts of the three departments were unable to save the building.
  The Fulton County sheriff's office was notified, and Sheriff J. J. Dowden, deputies A. Burda, Larry Craig, Leon Booth, and County Investigator Adolph Phillips responded to assist in fighting the fire and to help in the recovery of the bodies. The body of Mr. Santus was recovered from the ruins a short while after the firemen arrived but his wife's body, although it could be seen, was not removed for several hours because of the intense heat.
  The cause of the fire had not been determined.
  Mrs. Santus is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Brewer of Gloversville; one sister, Mrs. Rosa Case of Sprakers; four brothers, Frank Sprung of St. Johnsville, Anderson Sprung of Fonda, William Sprung and Burt Sprung, both of Gloversvilie; and several grandchildren.
  Funeral services for both the victims were held Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the Orson's Funeral Home in Broadalbin.

  Funeral services for Russell D. Frederick, 52, of 10 Glebe street, who died Saturday morning at 4 in Latauer hospital, were held yesterday afternoon at 2:30 at the Kennedy funeral home. 150 South Main street, Gloversville.
  Rev. Martyn D. Keeler of the First Presbyterian church officiated. Burial was in Prospect Hill cemetery. Bearers were, Fred, Elbert and Milford Frederick, Henry
Whiting, Anthony Ort and William Nolan.
  Mr. Frederick, who had been a patient in the hospital 12 days, was born in the Town of Mavfleld. Jan. 24, 1997 but had resided in Johnstown for the past six years. He was a retired farmer.
  The survivors are a son, James, a brother, Fred, and a sister Mrs. Ruth Van Denburgh of Gloversville: and another sister, Mrs. Helen Ward of Deanborough.

  A Gloversville man died of an apparent heart attack yesterday afternoon while working at a resident's home.
  Frederick L. T. Frederick, 69, of 30 Sixth Avenue, died of natural causes, according to a verdict issued by Dr. Michael Palamar, Fulton County coroner.
  He was installing storm windows and mowing the lawn at the home of Mrs. Anna B. Leach, 128 East State Street, shortly before 5 yesterday afternoon when he was stricken.
  Born in the Town of Mayfield May 25, 1899, Mr. Frederick had resided in Gloversville most of his life. He was formerly employed by the former J. C. Bleyl Company.
   He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Philathea Class of the Church.
  Survivors include his wife, Beulah Frederick; two sons, Elbert Frederick, Beaver Falls, Pa., and Milford Frederick, of Gloversville; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald Travis and Mrs. Dennis McCune of Gloversville; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Van Denburgh, of Gloversville; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
  The Semper Fidelis Circle of the First Presbyterian Church will attend the funeral in a body.

  Miss Dorothy Hazel Boyd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Boyd Sr. of 46 Burr Street, became the bride of Milford Frederick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Frederick of 43 Forest Street, at 2 saturday afternoon in the First Presbyterian Church.
  The double ring rite was performed by Rev. Jack Cooper of Schenectady,. Clarence Gets played the traditional wedding music.
  The bride, given in marriage by her father, was gowned in rosepoint lace and nylon over satin. It was fashoned with a victorian neckline, long pointed sleves and a fitted lace bodice adorned with two leaf-shaped iridescent sequins.
  Accordion pleated panels of nylon tulle and rosepoint lace formed the skirt, which terminated in a chapel train. Her silk illusion fingertip veil, outlned with lace and studded with sequins, was fashioned on a tiara of sequins and pearls.
  She carried a white prayer book and white orchid.
  Miss Doris Boyd, twin sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Her gown was nile green chiffon over taffeta with a torso styled shoulder bodice, portrait neckline, and a full hoop skirt.
   Her headpiece was a crown of sequins with a matching veil. She carried a cascade of Talisman roses.
  The, bridal attendants were Miss Mary Lou Boyd and Mrs. Beverly Snyder, sisters of the bride, and Miss Shirley Frederick and Miss Sylvia Frederick, sisters of the bridegroom. Their gowns of canary yellow and ice pink were identical to that of the honor attendant, and they carried cascades of mixed roses.
  Sherry Lee Poyfair, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl in a gown of nylon net over taffeta with a matching headpiece. She carried a basket of mixed spring flowers. Larry Poyfair. also cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
  Elbert Frederick was best man for his brother. The ushers were the bride's brothers, Donald Boyd Jr. and John Boyd, her uncle, Charles Travis, and Kenneth Gibson.
  The bride's mother chose a steel grey suit with navy accessories and  a corsage of sweet peas and orchids. The bridegroom,s mother wore a grey dress with white accessories and a corsage of red roses.
   Following the, ceremony, a reception for 200 guests was held at the Legion Hall in Johnstown where the couple cut a four-tiered cake.
  Mrs. Frederick is employed at Crescendoe Gloves, Inc. Her husband, a 1955 graduateof Gloversville High School, is employed by the Bieys Tanning Company.
  The couple has posponed their wedding trip due to the illness of the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Emma Boyd of Albany. Mrs. Boyd, a^former Gloversville resident, was taken to Littauer Hospital Saturday after being taken suddenly ill.
  The couple it at home at 136 Bleecker Street.
  Out-of-town guests were from Albany, Pennsylvania, St. Johnsville, Schenectady and Mayfleld.

  BROADALBIN — Mrs. Bertha May Whiting, 46, wife of Henry Whiting, died yesterday afternoon at 12:30 at her home on Broadalbin R. D. 1. She had been ill several months.
  Mrs. Whiting was born in Mayfield, April 17, 1903, the daughter of Samuel W. and Sylvia Nolan Frederick. She was a member of the Mayfield Presbyterian church.
  She was married to Mr. Whiting on April 2, 1931. Her main interest was in her family.
  The survivors besides her husband are: one daughter. Nancy; two brothers, Fred L Frederick, Gloveraville, and Russell Frederick, Gloversville R. D.; one sister, Mrs. Scott Vandenburgh, Gloversville, also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
   Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 3:30 at the Olson funeral home in Broadalbin. The Rev. Burchard G. Ham of the Baptist church will officiate. Burial will be made in the Ephratah Rural cemetery.

  The funeral of Chauncey Veeder, 83, Johnstown, a native of the Town of Mohawk who died Friday morning in Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, was held yesterday at 2 P. M. at the A. G. Cole funeral home, Johnstown. The Rev. Andrew L. Dillenbeck, D. D., pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, officiated, and interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda.
  Mr. Veeder was born August 17, 1859, in Berryville, a son of Robert L. Veeder and Mary Jane Jackson Veeder. He followed the occupation of farming in this vicinity his entire life. His wife. Mrs. Carrie Duesler Veeder, died in 1909.
  About 15 years ago, Mr. Veeder went to Johnstown and resided with his daughter, Mrs. Clay Bartlett South Melcher Street Extension, until about a year ago when he took up his residence on McMartin Street, Johnstown. He attended the Fonda Reformed Church.
  The survivors, besides Mrs. Bartlett, are one sister, Mrs. Sarah Wemple, of Mayfleld, two grandchildien and several nieces and nephews.

  Mrs. Margaret A. Veeder Wemple, wife of Aaron L. Wemple, died at 11:15 last night at her home, 21 Franklin street, after an illness of four days. She was 73 years old.
  Mrs. Wemple was born in Berryville on February 14, 1861, the daughter of Robert L. and Mary Jane Veeder. She had lived in Gloversville since 1906.
  She was a member of the First Presbyterian church, and leaves behind her many friends.
   She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Lelia M. Wemple and Mrs. Elmer F. Perham; a son, Floyd V. Wemple, of North Arlington, N. J.; a brother, Chauncey Veeder, of Johnstown; two sisters, Mrs. Harvey Purdell, of Johnstown, and Mrs. Horatio Wemple, of Riceville; a grandson, Donald V. Perham; and many nieces and
nephews.
  The body was taken to the Walrath and Bushouer Funeral home, 51 Fremont street. Funeral services will be announced later.

  The survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Elmer F. Perham, and Miss Leila Wemple, Gloversville; one son, Floyd V. Wemple of Wilmington, Del., and one grandson, Donald F. Perham with the Air Force in Japan, one niece and one nephew.
  Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 at the Clarence Brown Funeral Home, 301 North Main Street. The Rev. George Phelps of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Buriai will be made in Evergreen Cemetery at the Sand Flats, Fonda.

  Floyd Veeder Wemple, son of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Wemple of Gloversville and grandson of Mrs. Robert L. Veeder of Johnstown, all former residents of this place, is now at the head of one of the many DuPont munition factories in New Jersey. Mr. Wemple after leaving Berryville was graduated from Gloversville High school and later from Pratt Institute at Brooklyn. He is a graduate chemist of high standing. Probably no other young man Berryville commands a higher salary or occupies a more responsible position than does Mr. Wemple. His many friends here are very glad to hear of his success.
