Bertha Helen Klock

 - Obituary (Schenectady Gazette, NY, Friday, December 11, 1964)
  ST. JOHNSVILLE—Mrs. Bertha H. Dillenbeck, 91, of 24 Center street, died Tuesday night in the VanAllen nursing home in Little Falls. She was a former town officer and teacher, and a descendant of Mohawk Valley pioneers.
  THE FUNERAL will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Smith funeral home, with Rev. Robert Geddes, pastor of St. John's Reformed Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Johnsville
cemetery.
  Mrs: Dillenbeck sustained a fractured hip when she fell last June 11. She was in Little Falls Hospital from then until Sept. 11, when she was removed to the VanAllen nursing home.
  She was born on Nov. 19, 1873, in Peru, Illinois, a daughter of Abner and Helen Nellis Klock. She was a descendant of the families to whom the queen of England had granted the Klock and Nellis Patent in the Mohawk Valley, and her parents had spent most of their life in the St. Johnsville section. Her father was a cheesemaker.
  SHE ATTENDED the St. Johnsville schools, and was a member of one of the first graduating classes of the school, in 1891 She was president of the school's alumni association in 1900.
  Later, Mrs. Dillenbeck taught in the Palatine Church and Stone Arabia school district. She was the last charter member of the St. Johnsville DAR Chapter, and a past regent. She also was one of the charter members of Maquaes chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and its
third matron.
  She was a . 60-year member of St. John's Reformed Church, a charter member of the Community club, and active in the King's Daughters' Society. She had served, as president and
secretary of the Klock Family Association.
  MRS. DILLENBECK served as Town of St. Johnsville tax collector from 1943 to 1953, and at the time of her death was a member of the Margaret Reaney Memorial library board. She also was a member of the Tryon County Muzzle Loaders.
  She was married on Jan. 30, 1896, to Ezra Dillenbeck, a local merchant, who died Jan; 27, 1927.
  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harlin (Dorcas) Devendorf; two grandchildren, Mrs. Barton Leneker, Palatine Bridge, and Harlow Devendorf, Johnstown; seven great-grandchildren; two cousins, Helen Casler and Viola Nellis, of Fort Plain.
  One son, Kenneth Dillenbeck, died in October 1952.

  Edward L. Everson, 83, of 121 Kellogg street, died yesterday at his home. He was a retired wholesale and retail tobacco dealer. Mr. Everson had lived in Syracuse 36 years. He is survived by a son. Gail A. Everson, and a daughter, Mrs. J. Floyd Green, both of Syracuse; two brothers, Emory A. of Little Falls and Pearlia H. Everson of Fort Plain; a granddaughter, Nancy E. Green; and several nieces and nephews.
  Services will be held at 11 a. m. Tuesday at the Funeral Chapel of Fairchild & Meech. The Reverend Ellsworth C. Reamon will officiate. Burial will take place in Henderson. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. tomorrow at the funeral home.

   Funerla services will be held at the home Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock. Friends are invited. Thursday morning the body will be placed on a train by Undertaker M. J. McAuliffe and sent to Henderson for burial.

  LITTLE FALLS — Emory A. Everson, 89, formerly of Little Falls, where he was employed as a linotype operator and machinist for 55 years at the Evening Times, died Thursday in the Utica Masonic Home, where he had resided the past year.
  Born Feb. 24, 1878, in Fort Plain, a son of William and Emeline Suits Everson, he was elucated there. He was employed in 1894 by the O'Connor brothers, publishers of the Fort Plain Standard. He began his employment with the Times on Aug. 10, 1899, retiring in 1955.
  He married Florence Weller on Oct 18, 1899, in Little Falls. She died several years ago. Mr. Everson was a past master of the Little Falls Masonic Lodge and a member of the Methodist Church.
  Surviving are a son, Leland, Little Falls; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Jeanette) O’Connor,
Cudahy, Wis.; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
  The Rev. Fred G. Cotnam, retired Methodist pastor, will conduct services 2 p.m. Monday from the Chapman Funeral Home, with burial in Church St. Cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 9 tonight, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow.


Florence Weller

  Mrs. Florence W Everson, 82, of 103 West Gansevoort street, Little Falls, died unexpectedly in the Little Falls Hospital Saturday morning having been stricken with a heart attack Friday afternoon.
  Mrs. Everson was born Nov. 9, 1877, in Salt Springville, a daughter of Daniel and Nettie Jones Weller. She was married to Emory A. Everson Oet. 18, 1899, in the Little Falls Methodist parsonage Last October. Mr and Mrs. Everson celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
  She was a member of the First Methodist Church, its Woman's Society of Christian Service, the Emily Simpson Bible Class of the church and Rock City Chapter N. 272, Order of Eastern Star.
  She is survived by her husband; one son, Leland W. Everson, Little Falls; a daughter. Mrs. Richard E O’Connor, Cudahy, Wis.; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Cassidy, Little Falls; a granddaughter, Mrs. Norman Wells, Cherry Creek; a grandson, Richard E. O’Connor, Jr.; two great grandsons. David Wells and Rex Alan Wells.
  Funeral services were held from the Chapman Funeral Home. Little Falls, Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ernest A. Droppa, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be made in Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls, in the spring.

  Mr. and Mrs. Emory Everson, 103 West Gansevoort street, Little Falls, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at their home on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Everson, the former Florence M. Weller, were married in Little Falls on October 18, 1899 by Rev. T. T. Rowe, pastor of the local Methodist church.
  Mr. Everson, a native of Fort Plain, has also been a linotype operator in the plant of The Evening Times, Little Falls, for over half a century. He started his connection with the newspaper business in the office of the Mohawk Valley Register, Fort Plain, and later worked for the Fort Plain Standard for several years before going to Little Falls.
  The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Everson in Fort Plain will extend congratulations.

  Fort Plain - Mrs. Getman Tells About Early Days - Mrs. Albert Getman, Fort Plain, celebrated her 81st birthday Friday. She was born in Sammonsville, Feb. 10, 1875. She is a member of the Reformed Church, the Missionary Society and a member of the Rainbow Rebekah Lodge. Fort Plain Past Noble Grands Club, Past Noble Grands Association, Moyova Zuanna, and the Fort Plain Womans Club. She celebrated the occasion by entertaining members of the club at her home Friday and was presented with a birthday cake. Mrs. Getman is a descendent of the early settlers of the Village of Sammonsville Her great grandfather, Samson Sammons was born Nov 3, 1793, in that vicinity. She speaks of a grist mill, a saw mill and a paper mill that were in operation in her grandfather's time. Her grandfather was Thomas S. Sammons after whom the village was named Oct. 14, 1819.

  MRS. ALBERT GETMAN – Fort Plain – 87, widow of Albert Getman, died yesterday in the Canajoharie Nursing Home. She was born Sammonsville but lived in Fort Plain for many years. She was a member of Fort Plain Reformed Church and it Missionary Society. Women's Club, Rainbow Rebekah Lodge, Moyova Zuana and Past Noble Grands Association. Mr. Getman died in 1928. She leaves several cousins. The funeral will be at 2 Thursday from the Swartz Funeral Home with the Rev. Gordon Alexander, of Fort Plain Reformed Church, officiating. Burial will be in Ephratah Rural Cemetery. A Rebekah service will be conducted at 7:30 tomorrow.

 - Obituary (Find A Grave / The Morning Herald, Gloversville, NY, Tuesday, April 17, 1928)
  Albert Getman, 83 years old, died at his home in Nelliston Sunday, April 8 at 8:30 o'clock in the evening. He had been in ill health for about six months and was confined to this bed for three weeks. Death was caused by complication of diseases.
  He was born in Palatine and had lived on the old homestead until 18 years ago when he moved to Nelliston. He was the son of Richard and Mary Shults Getman. He was married to Bertha E. Sammons, daughter of Edward H. and Josephine Everson Sammons of Fultonville 28 years ago.
  The survivors are two brothers, William Fillmore and Norman Getman of Johnstown and several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Rev. Kruizenga officiated. Interment was made in the family plot in the Ephratah Cemetery.

  He is survived by his wife, Ada Vunk Everson, Sprakers R. D.; one daughter, Reta Mae Everson, Sprakers, R. D.; his father, Raymond F. Everson, Canajoharie; one brother, Clarence C Everson, Cooperstown, and several cousins.
  The funeral was held at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon at the Houghtaling funeral home with the Rev. Carleton Fausett of Rural Grove Christian Church officiating. Burial was in the Fort Plain Cemetery.
