Lyons Falls. Jan. 18.—Mrs. Louise Hessler Williams, 82, widow of George M. B. Williams, died Monday at 7:30 p. in the Lewis County General hospital, Lowville. where she had been a patient two days.
The funeral will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the family home on Center Street, and at 2:00 p.m. in forest Presbyterian church with Rev. Francis A. O'Hara, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Port Leyden cemetery.
Friends may call at the family home Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Contributions may be made to the Lewis county chapter of the American Cancer Society, Lowville.
Surviving ate three sons, Lawton, Turin, Mervin, Westport, Conn., and Dr. John Williams, Glens Falls; a sister, Mrs. Harold (Kathryn) Richardson, Geneva, and four grandchildren.
Mrs. Willimas was born in Lowville, June 16, 1883, a daughter of William D. and Jennie Babcock Hessler. She was graduated fro Lowville Free academy and was married to George m. B. Williams at the home of her parents in Lowville, Nov. 18, 1905. Mr. Williams, a general manager and secretary for the Gould Paper company, died in Feburary 1943.
Mr.s Williams was a trustee of Forest Presbyterian church. She was past matron of Dewey chapter, O. E. S., Port Leyden, a trustee and secretary of the Free library, a director of the Lewis county Health association, and a member of the D. A. R.

George M. B. Williams, 63, prominent Lyons Fails paper mill official and banker, died at 9:15 last Thursday morning at his home on McAlpin street, Lyons Falls, two and a half weeks after he was stricken with a cerebral hemorrhage.
Mr. Williams, for many years general manager, secretary and assistant treasurer of the Gould Paper Company, suffered a breakdown last summer and was ill for four weeks in July. He was able to go back to his work after that illness and was at the mill and bank regularly until stricken late in January.
Mr. Willfams began work with the Gould Psper Company at the Port Leyden mill of that firm as a youth of 17. Two years later he went to Lyons Falls and the mill there where he had since been employed. He advanced steadily in the organization until he became general manager, secretary and assistant treasurer, posts be held at the time of his death.
For some time he bad been connected: with the Lyons Falls National Bank and in January, 1938, he was elected president to succeed Harry P. Gould, now deceased. He had been president of the bank since that time.
Born in Port Leyden on Aug. 11, 1879, the only son of John H. and Jennie Budge Williams, he spent many years of his life there. After coming to the Lyons Falls mill to work in 1898, he continued to reside in Port Leyden, traveling back and forth to his office until 1924 when he brought the family to Lyons Falls and established a residence there.
He was twice married. He married Iva Fenner in May, 1903. She died in the fall of 1904. On Nov. 8, 1905. he married Miss Nellie Louise Hessler, of Lowville. She is the daughter of John and Jane Babcock Hessler.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Lawton L. Williams, of Lyons Falls: Lielt. Merwin M. Williams at Pine Camp, and Dr. John H. Williams, of Glens Falls, and by two grandsons, Peter Lonsdale Williams and Dexter Merwin Williams, both of Lyons Falls.
Mr. Williams was a 32nd degree Mason of the Mohawk Valley Consistory. He was a member of past master of Port Leyden Lodge No. 669, F. and A. M.; the Watertown Commandery, Knights Templar; Media Temple, A. A. O. N. M. S.; Jefferson-Lewis Square Club and wis affiliated wfth the Dewey Chapter of the O. E. S. of Port Leyden. He was also a member of the Carlowden Country Club and the Lyons Falls Citizens Club.
Funeral services were held at his home Saturday at 3 p. m. The Masonic committal service was held in connection with the regular church service. Rev. Raymond Muthard, pastor of the Forest Presbyterian Oureh of Lyons Falls, officiated.
Burial was made in the family plot in the Port Leyden cemetery. The bearens were Ernest Burrows, Martin Fitzgerald, William Argy, Stanley Cheeseman, James Dillon and John Cataldo.

Lowville Nov. 20.— Miss Nellie Louise Hesler of Lowville and George M. B. Williams of Port Leyden were married Saturday afternoon at the home of th e bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. William D. Hesler, in Park avenue, in this village .
The house was most tastfully decorated for the occasion with potted plants and cut flowers. As the bridal party entered the parlors. Miss Katherine Hesler, sister of the bride, sang "O Promise Me," with violin obligato by Miss Madge F. Leland of Utica. The ceremony was performed by the Rev . Edward Rurdick Doollttle, rector of Trinity Church, this village, in the
presence of the relatives and a few of the immediate friends of the contracting parties.
The bride was attired in a gown of whit silk and carried white roses.
Following the ceremony a wedding luncheon was served, after which Mr. and Mrs. Willlams left on the 7 p. m. train for a brief wedding trip. Upon their return they will reside at Port Leyden .

Dr. John H. Williams, 58, of Foothills Road, Turin, formerly of Glens Falls, was killed instantly in an automobile accident on Route 12, just north of Lyons Falls, Saturday morning (March 22, 1975).
Dr. Williams was born in Port Lyden on June 21, 1916, the son of George and Louise Hessler Williams.
He was a graduate of Lyons Falls High School and Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1938. He served a one-year internship at that hospital.
He then began his practice as an osteopathic physician at 399 Glen St., Glens Falls. Upon his retirement three years ago, he moved to Turin where he resided with his brother.
Dr. Williams married the former Arlene Miller of Glens Falls in 1955. The marriage ended in divorce. Dr. Williams was a member of the Ancient Arabic Order of Nobles, of the Domestic Shrine of North America, Oriental Temple 7 of Troy; the Turin Masonic Lodge 184, Free and Accepted Masons, the Royal Arch Masons of Glens Falls, the New York State Osteopathic Society, the Hyoid Chapter of Atlas Fraternity of Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Glens Falls Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Lawton and Merwin, both of Turin; two nieces, and two nephews.
There will be no calling hours. Masonic funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Field Funeral Home, Port Lyden, by Rev. Roy Sommers, pastor of St. Mark's Episcopal Church of Port Lyden.
Interment will be in Port Lyden Cemetery. The family has suggested that memorials may be in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Association.

GENEVA — Mrs. Katherine Richardson of 40 Park Place, Pulteney Apartments, died last evening in Geneva General Hospital.
There are no calling hours.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Episcopal Church, Lowville. The Rev. Donald Brand will officiate. Burial will be in Lowville Cemetery.
Mrs. Richardson was the daughter of William and Jennie Babcock Hesler. She was married Oct. 11, 1913 to Harold Jay Richardson who was past grand master of the Masonic Lodge of the State of New York. She was a member of the Geneva Country Club, the Seneca Yacht Club, Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the American Revolution.

Harold Jay Richardson of Geneva N.Y., executive secretary of the Poirier and McLane Construction Company here and former Grand Master of the New York Masonic Grand Lodge, died unexpectedly on Sunday of a heart attack at the home of his brother, Raymond richardson, in Lowville, N.Y., it was learned here today. He was fifty-eight.
Mr. richardson joined the Poirier and McLane firm last July, after 27 years in the cheese industry as a member of the firm of Miller, Richardson and Company.
A thirty-third degree Mason, Mr. Richardson served as master of the state's Grand Lodge from 1926 to 1928. He had served on the Grand Lodge's council of deliberation and for the past ten years had been secretary of the committee on endowment. Mr. Richardson spoke in Yonkers on many occasions at Masonic functions and was well known here.
Surviving are his wife, the former Katherine Hessler, and two daughters, Miss Bethany Richardson and Mrs. Jane Parker.

LOWVILLE — Bethany Mary Richardson, 84, formerly of Lowville and Geneva, died Saturday, May 25,2002, at the Masonic Home where she had resided since 1999. A memorial service was held in Geneva at the convenience of the family, with burial in Lowville Rural Cemetery. Surviving Miss Richardson are two nephews, three nieces, three grandnieces, six grandnephews; one great-grandniece and one great-grandnephew. (names omitted) She was predeceased by a sister, Jane Richardson Robinson. Born May 1,1918 in Lowville, a daughter of Harold Jay and Katherine Hesler Richardson, Miss Richardson graduated from Lowville Academy in 1936, and from St. Lawrence University. She received two masters degrees from the University of Rochester and SUNY-Albany, respectively. Miss Richardson taught school at Puna liou School in Honolulu, Hawaii and at the Bement School in Deerfield, Mass. For 20 years, she worked as an employment counselor for the NYS Department of Labor in Geneva, retiring in 1983. Miss Richardson was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Geneva and a member of its choir for many years. She was also a lifetime member of the Seneca Yacht Club in Geneva. As a past Geneva Women's Tennis Champion, Miss Richardson taught tennis in Geneva where she also coached the Hobart»William Smith College Women's Tennis Team. Miss Richardson was an avid sportswoman who enjoyed tennis, skiing and sailing. She hated to cook and depended on the Geneva Wegman's staff.
