Mrs. Minnie Cook Dancy, of Schenectady, died July 24, 1967, in that city.
She was born Aug. 5, 1881, in Houseville, daughter of Mather and Alice Cockwell Cook. In 1963, she was married to John Dancy. He died July 28, 1953.
Mrs. Dancy was a member of Trinity Methodist Church, Schenectady, and its women's
societies.
Surviving are a son, Mather, Schenectady; a daughter, Mrs. Adam Goode. Watervliet; a sister, Mrs. William J. Russell. Utica; 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Burial was Saturday in Crown Hill Memorial Park with committal by the Rev. W. W. Matz of Hilltop Church, New Hartford, officiating.

At ths home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mather J. Cook, 95 Pleasant street, Tuesday evening, occurred the marriage of Miss Minnie F. Cook and John A, Dancy of Schenectady, Rev. Arthur J. Dean of Olivet Church performing: the ceremony. The bride was attended by Miss Alice F. Cook and M. A. Dancy, brother of the groom, was best man. The ushers were Miss Anna Nicholson, Nellie Rowlands, Florence Dorn and May Graham. The bride was prettily gowned in brilliantine, appliqued with chiffon and satin ribbon trimmings. The bridesmaid was attired in chiffon and carried a large bouquet of carnations and maiden hair ferns. The bride presented her bridesmaid with a pearl ring and the best man was the recipient of a handsome stick pin from the groom. Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held and a bountiful wedding supper was served. The parlors were effectively decorated with cut flowers and potted plants. The attendance of friends was very large, those present from out of town being M. A. Dancy of Eagle Bay and Mr. and Mra. Willard of Houseville. Mr. and Mrs. Dancy will reside in Schenectady.

Mrs. Addie Cook Hill, 76, who operated a general store with her husband in Turin for 54 years, died Monday in her Lyman street home after a short illness.
Mrs. Hill was born May 31, 1876, in Greig, a daughter of Harrison and Myra Carpenter Cook. She was married June 9, 1896, in Greig, to Orrin W. Hill, with the Rev. Reuben Kline officiating. She was a member of the Turin Methodist church.
A graduate of Turin High school, she moved with her husband to Turin soon after their marriage and operated the Store until Mr. Hill’s death on Dec. 9, 1939. She continued to operate the store until 1941, and upon retirement moved into the Lyman street home.
Mrs. Hill leaves a daughter, Mrs. Ralph J. Gleasman, Turin; two sons, Miles O. Hill, Rome, and Royal H. Hill, Turin, and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p. m. Thursday at the home of Mrs. Gleasman, Rev. Erwin Williams, Methodist pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Turin cemetery.- Funeral (Daily Sentinel, Rome, NY, Saturday, October 11, 1952)
TURIN — Funeral services for Mrs. Addle Cook Hill, widow of Orrin W. Hill, were largely attended Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ralph J. Gleasman.
The Rev. Erwin Williams, pastor of the Turin Methodist Church officiated.
Bearers were Norman Vorkeller, George Higby, Donald Hughes, Charles Ward, Harold Platt and Francis Sliter. Burial was in Turin Cemetery.
Among the many floral tributes were pieces from the WSCS of the Methodist Church; friends from J. and D Building, Rome State School, the Boonville Hardware Co., Turin Bowling Assn., the Firemen's Bowling Team; the Alley-Oop Bowling Team; employes of, the Turin Highway Department; Turin friends and the Turin Fire Department.
Friends and relatives attended the services from Rome, Boonville, Utica, Lowville, Pulaski and Lyons Falls.

Turin. Dec. 11—Orin W. Hill, 75. died Saturday evening at his home after a week's illness of a heart ailment. He had been in poor health for some time.
He was born October 24, 1864 on Welsh Hill, one of ten children of George and Elizabeth Guion Hill. His father was born in England and his mother in Crogham. All his life has been spent in this vicinity and for 50 years he has been a merchant in the village.
When a young man he was a clerk in William P. Williams general store; later he entered business for himself and 44 years ago he purchased the building where he has since conducted a general store except for about five years when he went on a farm on the West Road.
On June 9, 1896, he married Addie May Cook of Greig, daughter of Harrison and Myra Carpenter Cook. They were married by the Rev. Reuben Kline of Port Leyden.
Mr. Hill has held the office of village treasurer for 14 years. He has served on the school board and attended the Methodist Church where he served as trustee.
Besides his widow, he is survived by two sons, Royal H. and Miles O., and a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Gleasman all of the village: and three sisters. Miss Josephine Hill, Mrs. Earl Van Dusen of Utica; Mrs. Charles Booth of Syracuse; one brother Walter Hill of Bergen; and four grandchildren Keith Gleasman, Orrin W., Robert M. and Parmer H. Hill.
A prayer service will be held at 1:30 Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Gleasman and funeral services at the Methodist Church at 2 p. m. with the Rev. L. Paul Harris officiating. Burial in the local cemetery.

Turin—Royal H. Hill, 55, died unexpectedly Tuesday night at his home, Lyman St., of a heart attack.
He was born in Turin, Feb. 6, 1904, son of Orrin W. and Addie May Cook Hill. He attended Turin schools and spent his entire life her. He never married.
Mr. Hill was employed many years by the Turin Highway Department. He was superintendent of the highway department for several years.
He was a member of the Turin Fire Department and attended Turin Methodist Church. He was a member of the Turin Bowling Association.
He leaves a brother, Miles O. Hill of Rome, a sister, Mrs. Ralph Gleasman of Turin; five nephews.

TURIN — Funeral services for Royal H. Hill, town highway superintendent, were largely attended Saturday at 2 p.m. at the home of his sister, Mrs. Ralph Gleasman. The Rev. Glenn Poppleton, pastor of Turin Methodist Church, officiated.
Bearers included Robert and Orrin Hill, Keith Gleasman, Aden Allen and Earl and Richard Jones. Interment was in the family plot in Turin Cemetery.
