 - Obituary  (Journal and Republican, Lowville, NY, Thursday,August 27, 1903)
Miss Pearl Sabin, eldest daughter of Palmer Sabin, died at her home in the eastern part of the town, Sunday evening, August 23d. She was very distressingly ill for eleven weeks and suffered intensely. Several physicians were called in council, but her case seemed to be beyond the reach of human help. She was but 19 years old and closely followed her mother, who passed away very suddenly just five weeks previous to the day that she died. She was so very ill at the time of her mother's death that she was not informed of the sad fact, and supposed until a few days ago that she was sick and could not assist in caring for her. She was a bright and lovely girl and up to the time of her illness was a picture of health. She was beautiful in person and character, and leaves many friends to mourn for her and to cherish her memory. She is survived by her father and one sister, Miss Myrtle Sabin, who have the sincere sympathy of many friends in their affliction. Her funeral was held from the family residence Wednesday at 2 o'clock. Rev. D. L. Roberts, of Whitesboro, officiating. The service included a memorial for Mrs. Sabin. The interment was in Turin cemetery.
