- Obituary (The Leader-Republican, Gloversville and Johnstown, NY, Tuesday, September 7, 1948)
Mrs. Grace Hart, 62, a charter member of the Guiding Star class of North Main Street Methodist church, died Sunday morning at 4 in Litauer hospital. Mrs. Hart, widow of Truman Hart, Dennies Crossing, suffered an attack Saturday night and was removed to the hospital, where she died of a cerebral hemorrhage.
She was born in the town of Root, Montgomery county, February 14, 1886.
Besides being a member of the North Main Street Methodist church, Mrs. Hart was a member of the Maid of Marions of the Foresters.
The survivors are two daughters. Mrs. Allen Wilson, Fonda, and Mrs. Arthur Maxon, Dennies Crossing; two brothers, Robert and Phillip Van Dellon, and one sister, Misa Rita Van Dellon, all of Gloversville. and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 in the Kennedy funeral home, 150 South Main street. The Rev. Hanford D. Wright, assistant pastor of North Main Street Methodist church, officiated.
Flowers were from employes of the Gloversville Leather Corp., Guiding Star class of North Main Street Methodist church, neighbors of Dennies Crossing, VFW Auxiliary, Mayflower Circle No. 3 and the Pinochle Card club.
Bearers were Scott Bruce, Howard Hime. Carl Evans, Tracy Goodemote, William Blowers and Raymond Wilson.
Burial was in Prospect Hill cemetery.

Truman W. Hart, 88 of Dennie's Crossing, died last night at 7 in the Nathan Littauer hospital, following an Illness of one week.
He was born In Chicago, August 10, 1879, and had been a resident of Dennie's Crossing for 32 years. He was a silk worker by trade. He was s member of the North Main Street Methodist Church and the Yoke Fellow class and the Koleneka Grange.
The survivors are his wife, Mrs. Grace Hart; two daughters, Mrs. Ellen Wilson. Mrs. Arthur Maxon: five grandchildren, all of Dennie's Crossing, and one sister, Mrs. Harry Belcher, Rockvllle Center.
The body was removed to the Kennedy funeral home, 150 South Main street Funeral arrangements will be announced.

Frank Bucknam, 75, of 85 State Street, died Sunday afternoon. January 25, at his home. He was born in Norwalk, Conn., and made his home in Auburn for 56 years, being well known in this city.
For some years, Mr. Bucknam was employed in the Duun & McCarthy shoe factory and later opcrated a restaurant at Seymour and Holley Streets, for upward of ten years, retiring some time ago.
Mr. Bucknam was for years acknowledged as one of the best pool players hereabouts, his skill at that game attracting much attention. He defeated many of the leading exponents of the cue and cushion hereabouts.
Mr. Bucknam is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louise Wagner Bucknam, a daughter, Mrs. Catherine C. Fisher of this city; a grandson, George F. Fisher of Syracuse; a sister, Mrs. Ella Weed of Norwalk, Conn.; a niece, Mrs. George Preusser and two nephews, Elmer and Earl Weed of Norwalk, Conn.
Funeral services for Mr. Bucknam will be held at 2 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon, at the Lester E. Brew Funeral Chapel, 48 South Street. Rev. A. Paul Wright, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Soule Cemetery.
Friends have been invited to call at 48 South Street, Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Mrs. Louise Wagner Bucknam, widow of Frank Bucknam, formerly of Auburn, died this morning at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Robert White, 21W. Main St., Waterloo.
Mrs. Bucknam was born in Little Falls but had lived in Auburn most of her life. She had resided in Waterloo for the past five, years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church ot Auburn.
Surviving her besides her daughter are several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 4 p. m. Monday at the Langham Funeral Home. The Rev. A. Paul Wright, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeriaw Cemetery, ----.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be from 3 to 6 and 7 to 9 p. m. Sunday.
