Funeral services for Samuel Leslie Stewart, 83, of McCoy, who died here April 8, were held April 10 from the Macy Chapel, with the Rev. S.J. Osborne officiating. Interment was in the Bethel cemetery.
Mr. Stewart, who is former Polk county legislator, was a direcor of the Bethel school district and past noble grand of the Odd Fellows lodge at McCoy.
He is survived by his widow, Grace; three sons, Glen of Lafayette, Carl of Brownsville and Leslie of McCoy; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Landis of West Linn, Mrs. Nell Turner of McCoy and Mrs. Margery Hamstreet of Portland.

GETMAN Mrs. Witta T., 86, of 1111 S. Highland Ave., Clearwater, (former resident Maple St., Clearwater) widow of the late Devore E. Getman, passed away Saturday September 30, 1972 at her residence. A native of Jersey City, N.J. moving to Clearwater 1952 from Winnetka. Ill. Member of Trinitv Presbyterian Church, Clearwater Garden Club and a former member of the West Coast Orchid Society, all of Clearwater. She attended Vassar College, Class of 1909. Survivors include a son, Thomas D. Getman, Dayton, Ohio, daughter, Mrs. John (Ann) Mcintyre, Kenilworth, III., six grandchildren and a sister. Little Falls — Charles D. Stahl, 66, died yesterday, May 7, 1935 at his home in West Monroe Street, after a two months illness of compilcations.
He was born Mar. 19, 1869, in the Town of Oppenheim, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Stahl. His early life was spent in farming and 40 years ago he came here, being employed by the Reservoir Ice company.
For tho past 13 years had worked in the Church Street Cemetery. July 6, 1897 he married Maude Petrie, who died in 1915. He attonded the local Baplist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, the Misses Eva and Marjorie Stahl and Mrs. Jacob Lemche, this city; three sons. Albert, Harold and Robert, Little Falls; three brothers; Leander, Town of Fairfield; Sylvester, Town of Manheim, and Chauncey, Town of Little Falls; two sisters Mrs. Ray Pentland, Stratford, and Mrs. Martha Gardner, Dolgeville; five granddaughters.

Surviving are a son, Earl H. Getman, Syracuse; two daughters: Mrs. Stanley (Ruth) Hayes, Whitesboro, and Mrs. Charles (Esther) Voss, Geneva; three grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 a. m. Tuesday from the family home, 255 South Main Street; The Rev. Edwin Potter will officiate. Burial will be in West Monroe cemetery. Earl H. Getman, 85, of 769 Woodland Drive, West Monroe, died Friday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital.
Born in Hamilton, he lived in the Central Square-West Monroe area for the past 50 years.
He was a graduate of Central Square schools and Central City Business Institute.
He retired in 1975 from Parish Oil Co. where he was the head bookkeeper. He had worked there 47 years.
Mr. Getman was a member of the United Methodist Church of West Monroe.
He was a member of Central Square Lodge No. 622 Free & Accepted Masons, Pulaski Chapter 279 of the Royal Arch Masons, the Grotto of Oswego, Scottish Rite Valley of Syracuse, and the Tigris Temple of the Shrine, also of Syracuse.
He was a retired member of both the Parish and Central Square Fire Departments, and was a member of the Central Square Senior Citizens. Surviving are his sister, Ruth Hayes of Whitesboro; and three nephews, the Rev. Gary Voss of St. Louis, Mo., Chris Voss of Tuckahoe and James B. Hayes of Whitesboro.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Traub Funeral Home, Central Square.
Burial will be in West Monroe Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 110 N. Main St., Central Square.

WHITESBORO - Stanley R. Hayes, 67, of 16 Owen Place, died yesterday in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital Center.
He was born in Union Grove, Wis. and moved to the Marcy area in 1912, and attended Marcy area schools. He married Gertrude Muthig in 1940 in Whitesboro. She died in 1946. In 1951 he married Ruth Getman in Syracuse.
Mr. Hayes owned and operated a service station in North Utica. He previously had worked for Geffen & Wolfe and Friedman Rambler. He retired in 1960 from the Whitesboro Brake Service, which he had owned and operated for 20 years.
He was a member of Marcy Community Church and Oriskany Lodge F&AM.

North Bay, July 24. — Information has been received here of the death of Charles Theall, which occurred at a Syracuse hospital, very suddenly on Saturday, following an operation for appendicitis. He was born here about 40 years ago and for many years lived here, removing to Constantia about 12 years ago. He leaves one son, William, and a daughter, Mildred, both of Constantia, one brother, Frank Theall, of Rome, and three sisters, Mrs. William Felch of Durhamvllle and the Misses Carrie and Jennie Theall of Auburn, all former residents of North Bay. Charles A. Theall of Constantia died Saturday night at the People's Hospital, Syracuse, following an attack of appendicitis. Mt. Theall was the owner of several canal boats and was taken ill at Buffalo, where he had been on a trip. He was brought from Lyons to Syracuse on Saturday but died before an operation could be performed.
The body was taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Marcellus at Constantia and the funeral will be held there tomorrow morning at 10:30 o'clock. One son, William E. Theall, one daughter, Mildred Theall, and three sisters, and one brother survive. The deceased was a member of Scriba Lodge, P. & A. M. of Constantia.

Constantia. July 30, - A fire at Constantia late yesterday afternoon which partly wrecked the Masonic building at a loss placed at $12,000 also occasioned the death of Irving L. Livingston, 53, the village undertaker at his home last night.
The undertaker hastened to the fire scene and entered the building with the fire fighters. He collapsed, apparently overcome by smoke, but later he was found to have sufferedea stroke. He was carried out of the building and removed to his home where death occurred about 8 o'clock. He is survived by his wife. Mrs. Edith Livingston, and one son.
Fire companies from Central Square, Cleveland, Brewerton, Cicero and Syracuse were called to assist in controlling the fire which it was feared at first might sweep the lakeshore village.

Clayton A. Winn, 78, widely known business man, long active in political, fraternal and public affairs in this village and the town of Constantia, died at 1 o'clock Thursday morning in Syracuse General hospital, where two weeks ago he had undergone an operation. Last week, pneumonia developed and proved fatal.
He was born in Constantia, Oct. 6,1872 and had a varied and always active business life. He was proprietor of a general store and a number of years conducted an undertaking establishment, having lately reestablished this business after dissolving a partnership which had been in effect previously.
He was postmaster of Bernharcte Bay for a number of years; was a member and past master of Cleveland Lodge No. 613, F & AM; a member and past master of Barnhards Bay Grange No. 822; and had served assistant grand lecturer of the Oswego district, Order of the Eastern Star. He organized the Camp Fire in the town of Constantia and served as its councillor.
At the time of his death he was justice of the peace and a member of the Oswego County Republican committee. He was most active in Republican town and county politics, and had wide influence, was progressive and public-spirited. He was a member of Constantia Center Baptist church.
He was twice married. His first wife, Bertha M. Cook, died some years ago, and he married Mrs. Edith Livingston, who, with a stepson Robert Livingston, survives. His other survivors are nephews, neices and cousins.

FRANK G. STRATTON, 77, of 300 Burt St., died yesterday at City Hospital after a long illwess. A native of Constantia, he resided in Syracuse 50 years and was a retired real estate broker.

Albert Stratton, 87, for many years a resident of Mount Pleasant, and husband of the former Blanche Smith, died at a nursing home Friday. Stratton was born in Constantia and retired in 1962 from General Electric Co. in Syracuse. He was a member of the Grange and the Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jean Burke of Oswego; two sons, John of Waterloo, Iowa, and Hubert of Fulton; a brother, Arthur Stratton of Clearwater, Fla.; 14 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Albert Stratton and her son Albert Stratton Jr., 12, were badly scalded Wednesday morning when Mrs. Stratton slipped and fell while helping her son carry a large pail of boiling water preparatory to dressing chickens for Thanksgiving.

FULTON- Critically burned when she apparently fell against an oil heater in her home, Fulton RD 4, town of Volney, Friday, Mrs. Mary Enid Stratton, 51, wife of Albert Stratton, died early Sat morning in Lee Memorial hospital. Mrs. Stratton suffered third degree burns over two-thirds of the body, Dr. William Fivaz, attending physician, said Mrs. Stratton was alone in the house, when she apparently suffered a fainting spell and struck the heater. Her condition was discovered by a daughter, Velma Jean 10. The accident is believed to have occurred nearly two hours earlier. The woman was rushed to Lee Memorial hospital Friday night where she died. Surviving are the husband and daughter; two sons, Hubert Stratton of Fulton and John Stratton, Oneida, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Dingman of Fulton; a brother, Ernest Dingman of Oneida, and three grandchildren.

Oswego - Harold Wayne Pelow, 77, of 300 Walnut St., died Thursday at Oswego Hospital.
He was born in Oswego and was a life resident of the area. Mr. Pelow was the son of the latee William and Wilhelmina Pelow. Prior to his retirement he was employed in the maintenance department of SUNY-Oswego. He had previously worked for may years as a security guard for Alcan Aluminum Corp.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

CONSTANTIA - Olive R. Getman, 79, formerly of Constantia, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Stonehedge Nursing Home, Rome.
Born in Syracuse, she was a life resident of the Constantia area. She retired from the Central Square School District, where she was a school nurse for over 30 years.
Surviving are a sister, Isa Huntley of Baldwinsville; a brother, Robert Getman of Syracuse; a nephew, Jerry Getman of Oneida; and several other nieces and nephews.
Services will be 7 p.m., Friday, April 7, 2006 at the Watson Funeral Home, Inc., 631 So. Main St., Central Square. Burial will be in Constantia Rural Cemetery.
