Henry W. Sneck, sixty, of 876 Warren street, Albany freight agent for the New York Central railroad, died on a Pine Hills trolley about 8 o'clock today. Coroner John J. Skelly said death was due to heart trouble, aggravated by over-exertion.
According to Martin Lester, 7 Judson street, operator of the trolley, Mr. Sneck had to run to catch the car at Allon street. Just before reaching Cartridge street he collapsed.
Dr. Travis, who was on the car, went to his assistance. He told Coroner Skelly death had come immediately.
At the freight offices in Montgomery street it was said Mr. Sneck had been under a doctor's care for some time.
Mr. Sneck came to Albany from Schenectady four years ago to take charge of the local freight office.
He is survived by his mother, living in St. Johnsvlille, and a son, Henry, an employe of the Adirondack Light and Power company in Schenectady.
The car on which Mr. Sneck died was held on the tracks until the arrival of Coroner Skelly and Raymond F. Kircher, coroner's physician. The passengers were transferred and the coroner ordered the car to the Quail street barns, where Dr. Kircher made an examination.
