Christina Paul

 - Find A Grave Canada
Tena's death registration says she was the daughter of James Waite & Jennie Paul. It also says she was born Oct.14,1894 and died Sept.25,1938. Her birth registration also says she was the daughter of James Waite & Jennie Paul. However the 1901 census of Dalhousie & North Sherbrooke in Lanark County shows her mother, Jennie Paul, age 38, being single & living with her Parents Robert Paul & Janet McDougall. It also shows Tena, age 6, being a granddaughter of Robert Paul, going by the name Christena Paul. I doubt if her mother Jennie was ever married to James Waite. Her mother, Jennie, eventually married John Kring on April 26,1904 when Tena was 10 years old. John was a widower when he married Tena's mother Jennie. Tena was married at age 18 to Randall Kring on May 29,1911. However the marriage registration shows her parents as Robert Paul & Janet McDougall, but they were actually her grandparents. The 1911 census of Clarendon Township, Frontenac County, shows Tena's mother, Jennie Kring, living with her husband, John J. Kring. Living with them was John's nephew, Randall Kring & John's step-daughter, Tena Kring. It says Randall & Tena were married at the time of the census. Also living with them was John's sons Thomas H. Kring age 19, and Levi F. Kring, age 14. They were from John's previous marriage.
