Maude Elizabeth Shults, 52, wife of William Kneaskern, died Wednesday afternoon at the Amsterdam City Hospital after an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Kneaskern was born in Canajoharie, a daughter of Harvey Shults and Mary Astor Haney.
Surviving besides the husband are a son, Crawford, Canajoharie; seven daughters, Mrs. Esther Krohn, Amsterdam, Mrs. Elizabeth Hines, Fort Plain, Georgianna, Regina, Edna, Helen and Margaret Kneaskern, all of this village; also one grandson.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Houghtaling funeral home, with the Rev. E. R. James, pastor of the Reformed Church, officiating. CANAJOHARIE — Mrs. Maude Elizabeth Kneaskern of 28 Cliff street, wife of William Kneaskern, passed away at the Amsterdam City hospital on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30, following an illness of two weeks of pneumonia. On Tuesday she was removed to the hospital for treatment. She was 52 years of age and was born in Canajoharie, a daughter of Harvey and Mary Esther Handy Shults. Following her marriage she resided m the Town of Mohawk for several years, later coming to Canajoharie to reside. She was devoted to her home and family.
Surviving are her husband, William Kneaskern; one son, Crawford Kneaskern of Canajoharie; seven daughters, Mrs. Esther Krohn of Amsterdam; Mrs. Elizabeth Hines of Fort Plain and Misses Georgianna, Edna, Regina, Ellen and Margaret Kneeskern all of Canajoharie and one grandson Eugene Krohn of amsterdam.
The funeral services will be held at the Houghtailing funeral parlors this afternoon at 2 and the interment will be made in Canajoharie Falls cemetery, Rev. Edward R. James, minister of the Reformed church will officiate at the service.

CANAJOHARIE, June 26—William Kneaskern, Canajoharie veteran of the Spanish-American War, died at 1:35 o'clock Friday morning in the U. S. Veterans Administration Hospital at Bath, following an illness of three years.
Born in Canajoharie, May 29, 1867, he was the son of Daniel and Jennie Marsh Kneaskern, and had lived most of his life in this village. His wife, Maud Shults Kneaskern, died here in 1936.
Surviving are one son, Crawford William, Canajoharie; seven daughters, Mrs. Fred Krohn and Mrs. Roscoe Herrick, Amsterdam R. D., Mrs. Kenneth Hime, PalaItine Bridge, Mrs, Thomas Sorval, Mrs. Victor Eckler and Mrs. Michael Kane, Canajoharie, and Mrs. John Northover, Johnstown; one sister, Mrs. Nettie Rivers, Troy, 16 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Monday at 2 P. M. at Houghtaling's funeral home, the Rev. Herbert J. Guth, pastor of the Reformed Church, officiating. Burial will be made in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Canajoharie.

Fort Plain. Oct. 5.— The funeral ofCharles W. Diefendorf will be held at the Reformed church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. thomas Kirkwood officiating. The internment will be made in the Fort Plain cemetery. The service will be in charge of Fort Plain lodge, No. 433, F.& A. M. Mr. Diefendorf died at his home in this village after only a few days' Illness of pneumonia and his death has caused sincere regret among his host of friends. He was born in this village about 34 years ago and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Diefendorf. He had considerable ability for business and at the time of his death was president of the Fort Plain Coal company. Through the personal efforts of Mr. Diefendorf. during the last winter, coal was finally brought here after it had lain in the Utica yards for weeks. He was a member of the Fort Plain club, the Reformed church and, the local Masonic lodge. In politics he was an ardent Republican and had served his party as alderman of the village. Besides his widow he is survived by one daughter, Shirley, one brother and two sisters, John E. Diefendorf, of Mount Vernon, Miss Anna Diefendorf and Mrs. Robert Oliphant, of Irvlngton, N. J.

Charles Wesley Diefendorf and Miss Charlotte Elisabeth Wagner were united in mariage last evening at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. W. Clark Wagner, in Nelliston. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. C. Willoughby of the Reformed Church at 7:30 o'clock. The maid of honor was Miss Marietta Hyde of St. Johnsvllle. a cousin of the bride, and the bridesmaids were the Misses Jessie L Cosman and Myrtle M, Hart. The best man was Albert C. Wagner, brother of the bride, while the ushers were Sherman dillenback of this village and Jay Fisk of New York. The service was with ring, the ring bearer being Catharine S. Diefendorf. a niece of the groom. The bride was dressed in ivory satin trimmed with princess lace and veil fastened with orange blossoms and carried a shower bouquet of bride's roses, lilies of the valley and maiden hair ferns The maid of honor was gowned in pink embroidered mousseline over pink taffeta. The dresses of the bridesmaids were of pale green mousseline trimmed with marquisette silver and both they and the maid of honor carried pink roses. The bridal party was preceded by six children. Henry J. Wagner, AnnaO. Diefendorf, Myron Mushleck, Florence Wagner, Raymond Hix and Elisabeth Sponable. who carried white ribbon. After the ceremony a supper was served and at a later period the couple left for Canajoharie, from which place they started on a honeymoon trip to Vermont. They will be at home after October 1. Both young people are well known and popular young people, who have the best wishes of a large circle of friends.

George S. Wagner, 85, died Monday at his home, 59 Main street, Philmont. Mr. Wagner was born Oct. 8, 1892, in Nelliston, the son of Clark and Marietta Sponable Wagner. He graduated in 1909 from Fort Plain High School.
A 1913 graduate of Bryant-Stratton College in Buffalo in electrical engineering, Mr. Wagner was employed for many years at the Chicago Pneumatic Company, Utica, retiring in 1965.
He was a 50-year member of the Fort Plain Masonic Lodge and was a member of the Mohawk Reformed Church.
He was married to Julia Wagner on Sept. 23, 1918. She died Dec. 6, 1969.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Katherine Benson, Philmont; a sister, Mrs. Charlotte Dievendorf, Fort Plain; three grandchildren; one great granddaughter.
The funeral was held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Gray Funeral Home in Fort Plain with the Rev. Robert Gram, pastor of the St. Johnsville Reformed Church officiating. Interment was made in the Fort Plain Cemetery.

Mrs. Julia D. Wagner, 78, a former resident of Nelliston and Mohawk, died Tuesday at the Eden Park Nursing Home in Hudson. A native of Fort Plain, she had lived in Mohawk for the past 20 years. She was a member of the Fort Plain DAR Chapter, Otsquago Chapter 297, Order of Eastern Star, the Mohawk Reformed Church and the Meadowbrook Garden Club. Survivors include her husband; George Wagner; a daughter, Mrs. Catherine W. Benson of Philmont, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Gray Funeral Home In Fort Plain. The Rev. James Benes, pastor of the Mohawk Reformed Church, will officiate. The bride is a well known and popular young lady and is a daughter of the late County Clerk Henry Wagner Jr. She is a graduate of the Oswego Normal School and for several years past has been a member of the Fort Plain high school faculty. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs.. Clark Wagner of Nelliston, but for some time he has been employe d by the Utica Ga & Electric Co. in that city. Many friends will extend congratulations and best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Wagner. Following the ceremony a wedding supper was served, after which the couple left for a honeymoon by automobile through the Eastern States. Upon their return they will make their home in Utica. Guests were present from Amsterdam, Fonda, Canajoharie, St. Johnsville, Little Falls, Mohawk, Chenango and New York.

FORT PLAIN — Henry J. Wagner, 36, died unexpectedly yesterday at his home at 12 High St.. Fort. Plain.
Born Jan. 23. 1903, in Nelliston, he was a son of William Clark Wagner and Marietta Sponable Wagner.
He was alifelong residen the area. He was for a number of years a partner in Central Garage, Fort Plain, and at the time of his death was a salesman for Palatine Builders, Inc., Fort Plain.
Wagner graduated from Fort Plain High School in 1920. He was a member of the Reformed Church, Fort Plain, and its Board of Trustees. He was a former village, trustee and was at present secretary and past master of Fort Plain Lodge, 433 F&AM. He was a former Masonic Club director. He was a member of Hiram Union Chapter, 53. Canajoharie, Little Falls Commandery, 26 Knights Templar, Ziyara Temple of Utica and Otsquago Chapter, OES, Fort Plain.
He married the former Ethel Hudson in 1928.
Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter. Miss Alice Wagner, Fort Plain: a son. Robert, of Paducah, Ky.: a sister, Mrs. Charotte Diefendorf. Fort Plain: a brother, George Wagner, of Frankfort, and one grandson.
Funeral services will he held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Swartz funeral home. Fort Plain, with the Rev Gordon Alexander, pastor of Fort Plain Reformed Church, officiating, Burial will be in Fort Plain Cemetery.
Masonic services will be conducted at the funeral home at 8 o'clock Wednesday evening.

Morristown. Jan. 17.—At his late residence in Morristown on Jan. 11, occurred the death or Joseph H. Kring, aged 68 years. Mr. Kring was strirken with an affection of the spinie which cause paralysis and he was confined to his bed six weeks.
On Feb 27, 1877, Mr. Kring was married to Miss Sarah Sharp, who survives him. Two children also, survive, A. H. Kring or Hammond, and Mrs. Ivan O. Brasie of Newburg, N.Y. Mrs. Brasie was with her father during his illness and death. Mr. Krinf also leaves three brothers and three sisters; Clinton, Gordon and Charles Kring, and Miss Anna Kring, Mrs. Samuel Volans and Mrs. Eunice Woods, all of Ogdensburg.
Funeral services were conducted at the residence on Thursday. Jan. 13, at 2:30 p. m. by Rev. Mr. Van Ornum, pastor of the M. E. church, with Masonic burial service at the grave. Interment was made at Morristown.
Mr. Kring was of a very congenial disposition and beloved not only by his own immediate family but by a very wide circle of acquaintances.
In early life Mr. Kring purchased a large farm near Edwardsville, N.Y. on the beautiful Black lake shore, and which be continued to operate very successfully up to five years ago. when be came to Morristown and purchased a place, building a very modem and complete residence, which he has since enjoyed.
There was a large attendance of relatives and friends at the funeral, including many from other cities and towns, among whom were Mr. Charles S. Sharp of Auburn, brother of Mrs. Kring. and Dr. Ivan G. Brasie of Newburg.

OGDENSBURG — Mrs. Bertha Kring Brasie, 84, Morristown, widow of Dr. Ivan G. Brasie, a dentist, formerly of Newburgh, died 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the St. Lawrence State hospital, where she had been a patient one year.
Ill six years, she was a patient at the A. Barton Hepburn hospital five years.
The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Nichols funeral home, with Rev. Bealer Berquist, pastor of the United Christian Church, Morristown, officiating. Thebody will be placed in the Ingham cemetery vault, Brier Hill. Burial will be later in the Greenwood cemetery, Morristown.
Friends may call at the funeral home after this evening.
Surviving are a nephew, Lawrence Kring, Heuvelton, R.D.; a niece, Miss Devota I. Kring, Hammond, R.D. 1 and a cousin, A. Cecil Kring, Ogdensburg.
Mrs. Brasie was born April 15, 1883, a daughter of Joseph and Sarah Sharp Kring. She was married to Dr. Brasie June 24, 1903. He died Oct. 23, 1954.
Mrs. Brasie was a member of the United Christian church of Morristown andof the national society of the Daughters of the American Revolution; past treasurer of the Newburgh chapter, D. A.R.; past matron of the Hudson River chapter, O.E.S.; past district deputy grand matron, O.E.S., and a former member of the board of managers of the Visiting Nurses' society of Newburgh and of the board of trustees of the Historical society of Newburgh Bay and the Highlands.

Miss Elsie Kring, aged 20 years, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Kring of the Black Lake road, died yesterday from influenza. She was a young lady who was extremely popular in her neighborhood and her death will cause keen regret.
