Cora Belle Devendorf, wife of Wellington Dockstader and daughter of former Chief of Police Clark Devendorf, died Friday evening at 11:15 o'clock at her home No. 162 Division Street, of pneumonia, after an illness of about four weeks, aged 42 years. Mrs. Dockstader has been a sufferer from nervous trouble for many years and during her long period of patient suffering has undergone numerous operations, hence her naturally weakened condition was such as militated against a possibility of her recovery when she was seized with her last illness. During all the years of her physical ailments she has borne up cheerfully with that beautiful Christian spirit, which has ever dominated life and which has been an inspiration to those who have ministered to her. Mrs. Dockstader was a member of the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church and her interest in its welfare has been marked by her devotion to her religious teachings. In her home, to which she was greatly attached, her lovable disposition was most manifest and it was there her many womanly attributes were best appreciated. Although born in Schenectady April 25, 1867, Mrs. Dockstader passed practically all her life in Amsterdam, where her numerous admirable traits of character won for her a warm place among a wide circle of acquaintances. She was married about nineteen years ago to Mr. Dockstader, by whom she is survived, together with three daughters, Ethel May, Laura Belle and Juanita, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Devendorf; and one brother, Supervisor E. Eugene Devendorf, all of this city. The funeral will be held at the house Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and at Emmanuel Church at 2, the Rev. Dr. Cady officiating. Interment at Pine Grove cemetery.

George W. Mink, for many years a respected resident of Amsterdam, died suddenly at his home, 9 Kimball Street, at 1 o'clock this morning, of heart trouble. Mr. Mink has been a sufferer from this malady for some years, but he was able to be about each day. He had not been as well as usual during the past week, but he did not complain when he retired Monday night. Mrs. Mink was a wakened by the unusually heavy breathing of her husband. She endeavored to arouse him but was unable to and Dr. Canna was called. Before the physician arrived, Mr. Mink had expired. He was born on Long Island 62 years ago last December 20th, and for 30 years has lived in this city. Prior to coming here, he resided at Central Bridge. For 27 years, he was connected with the street railroad service of Amsterdam. He was connected with the old Amsterdam Street Railroad Company at the time horse cars were operated in Amsterdam and then he continued with the Fonda, Johnstown and Gloversville Railroad Company on the trolley cars here. He was one of the oldest employees of the company and advanced to a run on the interurban line between Gloversville and Schenectady. He was conductor on the first interurban car run from Amsterdam to Gloversville. Four years, ago it became necessary for him to undergo an operation and he resigned from the service of the railroad company. Since then during the summer season he has acted as special policeman at Crescent Park, where his uniform courtesy made him popular with the patrons of the resort. He has also been assisting in the care of the Masonic rooms in the Sanford Homestead building. In 1876 Mr. Mink was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Howard, at Central Bridge. Her death occurred ten years ago. He married a second time to Anna Dockstader of Tribes Hill. April 28, 1909, and she survives him. In fraternal circles, Mr. Mink was very active. He was prominently identified with the Odd Fellows and Masons and worked indefatigably for the welfare of these organizations. He was a past Colonel of Canton Amsterdam, a member of Amsterdam lodge, No. 134, I.O.O.F. and Star Encampment, No. 33. I.O.O.F. In Masonic circles he was a member of Artisan lodge, No. 84, and Amsterdam chapter, No. 81, R.A.M. He was one of the first volunteer firemen in Amsterdam, being a member of the old Davis Hose Company of Guy Street, the name of which was later changed to the W. T. Bennett Hose Company. He was foreman of the latter and also acted as assistant chief engineer of the fire department. Although not a member, he attended religious services at the First M. E. Church and took an active part in furthering the work of the church. A man of strong character and companionable traits, he enjoyed the friendship of all those he met and his association with the railroad company brought him in dally contact with many people. The announcement of his death will be received with sincere regret and his loss will be keenly felt. The surviving relatives, in addition to his wife, are one son, William, of New York, one daughter, Mrs. Blanche Rowe, of St. Petersburg, Florida, a stepson, Howard van Patten, of this city, two brother, William, of Syracuse, and James, of Cohoes, and a sister, Miss Emma Mink, of Albany, as well as several nieces and nephews.
