Bernard J, Wellwood, 77, of 1219 Emery St., died last Thursday evening in Lee Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Palermo and resided in Fulton for the past 65 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a retired electrician at the Oswego Falls Sealright Corporation.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Clarence B. Wellwood; a son James of Chicago; a daughter, Mrs. Grace Lockwood of Oswego; sic grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. E. Baggs, Fulton; Mrs. Helen Mills of Syracuse, and several neices and nephews.
A spring burial will be in the Fairdale Cemetery.

Mrs. Charlene F. Wellwood, 78, of Hannibal, died Saturday, Nov. 12, at Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton.
Mrs. Wellwood was retired from the Sealright Corporation. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fulton.
Survivors are a son, James of Sterling; a daughter, Grace Lockwood of Oswego; a sister, Ella Kinville of Fulton; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 15. at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Burial was in Fairdale Cemetery.

She was born in Syracuse and was the daughter of Samuel and Mary Getman Fournier. Mrs. Drake had resided in Oswego for the past 70 years. She was a life member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a member of the Wesley Circle.
Mrs Drake was a life member of Lake City Chapter Order of the Eastern Star No 352 and was past matron and past district deputy Amaranth No. 101 of Phoenix.
Survivine are two daughters, Mrs. Fred Coates of Baldwinsville and Mrs. Eileen Hanley of Oswego; two sons, Raymond Drake of Oswego and Donald Drake of Sacremento, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Charles F Drake, 89, husband of Pearl Fournier Drake and a resident of 31 East Seventh St., died in Oswego Hospital Tuesday.
Born in Canajoharie, he was the son of the late John and Jennie Rice Drake and had resided in Oswego for the past 68 years. Prior to his retirement he had been a carpenter for many of the leading contractors in this area.
Mr. Drake was a member of Trinity United Methodist church and Carpenters' Local 747, receiving a 50-year pin in 1957 and a 65-year pin in 1972 and Lake City Lodge 127, F&AM.
Mr. and Mrs. Drake celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary last September.
Surviving besides his wife are three daughters, Mrs. Fred (Anita) Coates of Baldwinsville, Mrs. Stanley (Jane) Sheffer and Mrs. Ellen Hanley of Oswego; two sons, Raymond of Oswego and Donald Drake of Sacremento, Calif., 15 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; a niece, Mrs. John (LaMoyne) Elberson of Oneida and a nephew, Rodney Jones of Police Mountain, Horne, Idaho.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at the Dowdle Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9.
Burial will be in Riverside cemetery. The family requests that contributuions be made to Trinity United Methodist Memorial Fund.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Drake of 31 E. Seventh St., were feted by members of their family Wednesday, Sept. 4 on the occasion of their 67th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Drake is the former Pearl Fournier.
The honored couple were recipients of many cards, flowers and monitary gifts.
The were married September 4, 1907 by the Rev. Harry Greensmith of the First Baptist Church in Oswego. Mr. Drake was a well known carpenter. Both are members of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
The couple has six children, many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

The marriage of Miss Patricia Branshaw, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Judson Branshaw, 230 East Secons St., to Raymond Drake, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Drake, 65 East Albany St., took place in St. Peter's church at 12 noon today, the Rev. Ambrose J. Ruppert officiating.
Vases of Peonies and iris adorned the alter during the service. "Invocation" by Mailley and Priere by Boellman were rendered.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white satin and net, trimmed with imported Chantilly lace with bolero jacket. The skirt was in ballerina length and her fingertip veil was caught to a crown of seed pearls. She carried a round bouquet of lillies-of-the-valley centerd with an orchid.
Miss Antoinette Giambo was maid of honor wearing a strapless gown of yellow net over taffeta with a bolero jacket of Chantilly lace finished in Victorian collar and in ballerina length. She wore a sweetheart headpiece of yellow pleated taffeta and carried a colonial bouquet of Talisman roses.
Lawrenc Carroll was best man.
The bride's mother wore a strent length dress of navy blue, white accessories and corsage of red roses. The mother of the bridegroom wore a black street-length dress, white accessories and a corsage of red carnations. Dinner followed the church service at the Esquire restaurant for the two families.
Following a brief wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Drake will be at home at 178 West Fourth St.

Mohawk - Frank R. Getman, 71, of 4 E. Center, died yesterday in a Little Falls nursing home after a long illness.
He was born July 28, 1887, in the Town of German Flatts, son of George and Addie Cawlkins Getman.
In 1918, he married Hazel Ridgeway in North Carolina. He operated his father's farm for about a year, then came to Mohawk where he was a piano teacher for many years. He retired about 15 years ago.
Mr. Getman was a member of the Reformed Church and was affiliated with Mohawk Valley Lodge 276, F&AM, and Mohawk Odd Fellows.
Surviving besides his wife are two daughters. Mrs. Lyle Mowers, Ilion RD 2, and Mrs. Willard Teelin, Baraboo, Wis,; a sister, Mrs. Jacob Skinner, Mohawk RD, and six grandshildren.
The funeral will be at 2 tomorrow from the Graves Funeral Home, with the Rev. James W. Benes, pastor oif the Reformed Church, officiating. Burial will be in Cedarville Cemetery.
Members of the Elizabeth Rebekah Lodge will beet at 7:30 at the Graves Funeral Home to pay respects.

Ilion, Oct, 10 - at 6 o'clock last evening at the home of the bride's parents, the Rev. E. D. Ridgeway at South Ilion, took place the marriage of Hazel Ridgeway and Frenk Getman. The ceremony was performed by the bride's father assisted by the Rev. J. W. Skinner, a brother of the groom. Attractive trimmings and decorations made the home a pretty scene and especially in the room where the ceremony took place, The wedding took place beneath an arch of cedar from which hung a large wedding bell.
The bride was attired in a gown of pale blue satin, and she carried white roses. The attending couple were Mr. and Mrs. George Knapp. Mrs. Knapp's dress was of white satin. The ring bearer was little Ruth Mowers, a cousin of the bride. The flower girl was little Nina Jones, who scattered flowers in the pathway of the bride. The ribbon bearers were Clarence Rldgeway and Benjamin Caster. The groom's gift to his bride was a string of pearls and the gift of the groom to his atendant was a scarf pin and the bride gave to her attendant a set of pins. The wedding march was played by Mrs. Harold Beebe and during the ceremony Mrs. Frank Jones sang "O promise Me."
A dinner was served and the school friends of the bride assisted in serving. Guests were present from Walcott, Pleasant Brook and Illon.
The bride received a great many gifts of value which included silverware, cut glass, linen and money. Mr. and Mrs. Getman will enjoy their honeymoon in the cenrtal part of the state. The bride's traveling suit was of grey French serge and a hat of grey velvet. Upon their return they will reside at Fern Cliff. Pre-nuptial affairs were given in the bride's honor by the Misses Ina and Mable Wollaber and Miss Mable Becker. Only the immediate member of the family were present at the ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs. Pulaski Culbert and Wayne Hadcox attended the funeral of James F. Hollum in Mohawk on Wednesday. Mr. Hollum was a brother-in-law of Mr. Hadcox and was employed for many years on the Southern New York Railway.

Mohawk — Mrs. Mrytle L. Hollum. 79, of RD 2, a resident of this area for the past 50 years, died yesterday in Herkimer Memorial Hospital after a long, illness.
She was born June 7, 1881, in Monticello. daughter of Hiram J. and Susan Hull Hadcox. On June 24, 1903, she was married to James F. Hollum, in the University Church, Little Falls, with the Rev. Herbert Benton officiating.
The couple resided on farms in the Mohawk area.
Besides her husband, she leaves two daughter, Mrs. Rhoda Pomeroy, Stone Arabia; Mrs. Enda Mayton, Fort Herkimer; two sons, Norman Hollum, at home; Robert Hollum, RD; a brother, Wayne Hadcox, Richfield Springs, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews in the Utica area.
The funeral will be Sunday, at a time to be announced, from the Graves Funeral Home, Mohawk, with the Rev. Maurice Cobb, Universalist minister, Dolgeville, officiating. Burial will be in Mohawk Cemetery.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and-7 to 9, today and tomorrow.

MOHAWK - John T. Mayton, 73, of 13 E. Main St., a antique dealer, died Saturday, October 12, 1985.
He is survived by his wife, the former Edna B. Hollum; and three sisters, Mrs. Myron (Anna) Kustera, N. Miami Beach. FL Mrs. John (Christina) Wiley, Easton, MD., Elizabeth Mayton, Herkimer.

Mrs. Edna R. Cristman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hollum, Mohawk, R. D., was married Saturday, June 27, in Trinity Lutheran Church. Mohawk, to John Mayton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mayton, Day's Rock.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev, Luther B. Scheell. Miss Bernice Edgett was maid of honor and Philip Hinisky, was best man. Other attendants were: matron of honor, Mrs. George L. Baylis; bridesmaid, Miss Christine Mayton, and ushers Paul Maick and George Baylis.
Miss Mary Cook, church organist, played the wedding march. A reception and dinner followed in the home of the bridegroom's parents.

Pfc: Norman Hollum was wounded in Luxembourg December 23, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Hollum. Prior to entering the Army, Hollum owned and operated two large farms. MOHAWK - Norman J. Hollum, age 80, of RD 2, Box 408, Rock Hill Rd., died Thursday, October 27, 1988.
He was born April 2, 1908, in the Town of German Flats, the son of James and Myrtle Hadcock Hollum. He was a Veteran of WW II, having served in the United States Army. On September 3, 1966, he married Fannie Halkowich in Herkimer. He was a poultryman and operator of the farm in Mohawk for over 40 years. He was a member of the Mohawk ... illegable ... recioent of the Purple Heart Award.
Survivors include his wife, Fannie; one step-daughter, Helen Christian, of West Winfield; two grandsons; one great-grandson; one brother, Robert Hollum, of Mohawk; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Rhoda Pomeroy and Edna Maytan.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 am., Sunday, at the Graves-Applegate Funeral Home. Mohawk. Interment will be at Mohawk Cemetery. Calling hours are Saturday. 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mohawk American Legion Service will be held 7 p.m., Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to M.O.V.A.C.
