Florence Piper Greenman, widow of the late Henry Greenman, died at midnight on Wednesday, October 24th, after an illness of several weeks. The funeral will be held at the home of the daughter, Mrs. Winthrop H. Moore, in James Street, at three o'clock Saturday afternoon, October 27th. The Reverendend Gordon Lee Kldd of St. John's Episcopal Church will officiate. Interment will be made in Lakeview Cemetery.
The deceased was the daughter of Solomon and Elizabeth Piper and was born in Richfield Springs on July 6, 1853. She married Henry Greenman on June 24, 1875, in Richfield Springs. Mr. Greenman died on October 30, 1916.
Mrs. Greenman was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. She was the first organist of the church in its present edifice and in her younger days was very active in the affairs of this church.
One daughter survives, Mrs. Winthrop H. Moore. The second daughter, Mrs. Reginald Joslyn, died on August 1, 1913. There also survive, five grandsons, Winthrop H. Moore, Jr., Greenman Moore, Lorence Moore, Reginald G. Joslyn and Donald H. Joslyn.

Henry Greenman
After submitting to two operations in Faxton hospital, Utica, Henry Greenman died there on Monday morning. His acute illness extended over a period of several weeks, but he had not been enjoying good health for a number of months.
Henry Greenman was born in Norwich, N. Y. on September 7, 1850, the son of Alonzo and Jane Fish Greenman. He came to this village as a young man and entered the employ of H. C. Walter, in the jewelry store. In a few years he went into the jewelry business for himself and when he died was the dean of Richfield's business men.
On June 24th, 1875, he married Florence Piper, who, with an aged mother survive him. There also survives a daughter, Mrs. Winthrop Moore of Albany and five grandchildren, Reginald Joslyn, and Donald Joslyn of this village and Henry Winthrop Moore, Granville Greenman Moore and Lorence Moore of Albany.
The deceased was a member of Richfield Springs Lodge, No. 482, F & A M of Little Falls commandery, K. T. of Zlyara Temple, A. O. N. M. S. of Utica and of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in this village and served for a period of time as one of the vestrymen of the church. Also he was one of the pioneers in the local fire department and one of its early chiefs,
Richfield Springs has lost a good citizen......The funeral will be held in St. John's church at 2:30 this afternoon, the Rev. Claude Seares officiating and the services at the grave in Lakeview Cemetery will be conducted by Little Falls Commandery, Knights Templar.
Marriage Notes for Florence Piper and Henry Greenman
- Miss Florence Greenman and Winthrop Henry Moore were married in St. John's Church Saturday evening by the Rev. Scott Melville Cooke, the rector of the church. Only the families of the bride and groom and a few intimate friends were present and Miss Christabel Greenman, the birde's sister and Rex Joslyn attended them as maid of honor and best man. Mrs. Ray Shaul presided at the organ. Mr and Mrs. Moore left in the evening for New York and upon their return they will be at home in Mrs. G. B. Neeley's house in James Street. Mrs. Moore, who is beloved for her amiability, is a talented young woman, being an elocutionist and a musician of ability. She has recently resigned her position as organist in the First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Moore holds a responsible position with the Waiontha Knitting Company.
