- Obituary (The Canajoharie Courier, Canajoharie, NY, Feburary 18, 1913)
Miss Ethel H. Moyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Preseott W. Moyer, died Friday at eleven a.m. at their home in Sprakers. Miss Moyer was eighteen years of age and had been ill since the 15th of last September. She had been treated by a number of physicians, underwent an operation, and everything that medical science could suggest was done in an effort to restore her health. Miss Moyer was born in Sprakers, and had many friends there, being popular not only with those of her own age, but well liked by the older ones and all who knew her. That so bright and sweet a girl should have such an untimely death has caused much regret in the community where her life contributed so much in the way of brightness, happiness and cheer. The deceased is surived by her parents, who are deeply grieved in the loss of their only child.
The Funeral was held Monday afternoon at the Reformed church in Sprakers, and the pastor, the Rev. Harry Elisson officiated. The burial was is the Canajoharie Falls cemetery.
