  Mrs. Edith Walker Schenck, widow of Jennings Schenck, died at her home, 27 Center St., Union Springs, today, after a short illness. She was Springport town clerk for 14 years, retiring last November.
   Mrs. Schenck was the charter noble grand of Vashtl Rebekah Lodge of Union Springs, and a past matron of Star of Cayuga Chapter. OES. She was a member of Union Springs First Presbyterian Church and was active in guild and association work.
   Mrs. Schenck was born Aug. 30, 1877, near Aurora. She had lived in Union Springs 75 years.
   Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Margaret S. Smithe of Union Springs and Mrs. Dexter W. Riley of Scio: one son, W. Perry Schenck of Syracuse; nine grandchlldren. and 12 great-grandchildren.
   Arrangements for services are incomplete.

  Jennings W. Schenck, a lifelong resident of Union Springs, died at his home Saturday afternoon. He had been in poor health about two years. He was a painter and decorator by trade for 30 years. His survivors are his wife, Edith Walker Schenck, two daughters, Mrs. Corinne Riley,
Moravia, and Mrs. Margaret Smithe, Auburn; one son, Perry Schennk, Union Springs; one sister, Mrs. Addle Boiling, Union Springs; nine grandchildren. The funeral will he held at the family home in Center Street at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with Rev. George Davies, former pastor of the Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in
Chestnut Hill Cemetery.

  Mrs. Mary E. Wilber Russ of Maryland died at the home of her sister,
Mrs. Flora Lyon early Sunday morning, November 12, 1933, after having been ill there for several weeks.
   Mrs. Russ was born on Crumhorn mountain March 26, 1859, and was a daughter of Ira H. and Ruth Walker Wilber. She married Abram Russ of Maryland, and most of her life was spent in that community, though the family, resided in Milford for a few years. Besides the sister above named she is survived by two sons, Wilber A. Russ and Vol I. Russ, both of Maryland, and four grandchildren. Mrs. Russ was a member of the Milford Methodist Episcopal church, and the Ladies' Benefit Association of Oneonta.
   Funeral services will be held from the home of Mrs. Lyon, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. R. E. Austin, the pastor of the Methodist church, assisted by the Rev. N. B. Ripley, a life long friend, will officiate. Burial will be in the McKown cemetery at Maryland.

  Mrs. Margie W. Dopp, 76, Rural Grove, mother of Mrs. John R. Harrington, 511 N. Jay St., died yesterday morning at the home of her daughter after a short illness.
   Born May 29, 1884, in Rural Grove, she was the daughter of John H. and Charlotte Huyney Walker. She was married to Abram Dopp Feb. 12. 1907, in Rural Grove. He died in 1943.
   Mrs. Dopp was a member of the Rural Grove Christian Church and its Ladies Aid Society.
  Surviving besides Mrs. Harrington are a son, Robert A. Dopp, Rural Grove; two other daughters, Mrs. James C. Landers, Hammond, Ind., and Mrs. John Slavic, Homestead, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren.
   Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 at the Rural Grove Christian Church with the Rev. Carl Hart, former pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Maple Ave. Cemetery, Fultonville. Calling hours at the Todd Funeral Home, Fultonville, will be from 7 to 9 tonight and from
2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow.
   Local arrangements were handled by the Martin J. Nunn Funeral Home.

  FULTONVILLE, Dec. 4.—Abram Dopp died suddenly yesterday at 2:45 P. M. following a heart attack in his home at Rural Grove. His wife and son returning from the the funeral of a cousin, Frank Dopp, at Fort Plain, found him dead in a chair in the living room. Dr. Fritz Popper, Fultonville, pronounced him dead. Coroner John W. Morria, Fultonville, said death was due to natural causes,
  The cousin. Frank Dopp. died suddenly while visiting in Amsterdam during the early part of the week.
  Abram Dopp was a farmer for 14 years in the Town of Root near Rural Grove. Prior to this he was employed for 10 years by the State Highway Department at Canajoharie.
   He was born in the Town of Root, October 9, 1877, son of Jay and
Ophelia Lathers Dopp. Mr. Dopp was a member of the Rural Grove Christian Church, Rural Grove Lodge of Odd Fellows, and Rural Grove Grange.
   The survivors include hia wife, Margie Walker Dopp; one son, Robert Dopp; three daughters, Mrs. James Landers, Mrs. John Harrington and Mrs. John Slovic, Johnstown, and five grandchildren.
   Funeral services will be held Monday at 2.30 P. M. in the Rural Grove Ghureh with the Rev. Amos Harnish, officiating. Burial will be
made in Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville.

  Mrs, Lula M Bellow died at the St Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam Friday afternoon at 12:25 after a long illness. She had been: a patient at the hospital since Monday.
   Born in Futtonville, the daughter of Zebra and Elizabeth Parson Miller, she resided there all of her life. She was the widow of Howard V. Bellows also of Fultonville.  
   She was a member of the Fultonville Methodist church.
   Survivors are one son, Frank E. Bellows of Fultonvillw; one grandson, Pfc Howard Bellows, U. S. Army, and two great grandchildren.
   The funeral will he held at the Morris Funeral Home in Fultonville Monday afternoon at 8 o'clock. The Rev. Fred R. Browne, pastor
of the Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will he made in the
Maple Avenue cemetery in Fultonville.

  Lester Miller, 73, died in the Troy hospital, Thursday night at 8 o'clock. Mr. Miller was born in the Town of Glen, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Abram Miller. He had been away for the past 35 years.
  Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Lulu M. Bowers of Fultonville and several nieces and nephews.
  A prayer service was held at the grave in Maple Avenue cemetery, Fultonville, at 4 o'clock, Friday afternoon. The Rev. Herbert S. roberts, pastor of the Fultonville Methodist church, officiated.

  Word has been received by Miss Etta Carson of the death of her brother, Raymond Barlow Carson, 78, of Los Angeles,Calif., former resident, which occurred on Wednesday, April 19. He was born in the Town of GlenApril 19, 1865, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Carson of the Town of Glen. He lived in the Town of Glen and Fultonville until he and his family moved to California a number of years ago. While a resident of this village he was connected with the Brass bedstead Co. His wife, the former Miss Mary Bellinger of Currytown, O., died in California last January,. Besides his sister his survivors are two daughters and three grandchildren of Los Angles, Cal.

  FULTONVILLE Mrs. Elisabeth Carson Ellison, wife of Joseph W. Ellison of Syracuse, passed away Friday morning in the Syracuse hospital She was born in the Town of Glen, the daughter of the late Isaac Carson and Josephine Barlow Carson She had resided in Syracuse for the past 30  years. She attended the Baptist church in Syracuse.
  The survivors are her husband, two daughters. Mrs. James Alumbaugh and Mrs. Edward Scamp all of Syracuse; two sisters; Misses Ida and Etta Carson of Fultonville; a brother, Raymond Carson of California.
   The body was brought to the Charles M. Welch funeral house, Fultonville, where the funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. William H. Barringer, pastor of the Fultonville Methodist church, will officiate. The body will be placed in the receiving vault of Maple Avenue cemetery, Fultonville.

  Joseph W. Ellison, husband of the late Melissa Carson, died Wednesday morning at his home in Kirkville, a suburb of Syracuse. Mr. Ellison, who was about 76 years of age, was a fruit broker. He was well known here as his wife was a native of the Town of Glen, and he and his family were frequent visitors in Fultonville.
   Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. James Alaumbauch and Mrs.

  Henry W. Moyer, 83, Town of Minden, husband of the late Jennie Stokes Moyer, died Wednesday evening, June 18, in Little Falls hospital, where he had been a patient for 11 days.
  He was born February 11, 1869, in the Town of Root, a son of Rensselaer P. and Margaret Everson Moyer. A retired farmer, he had lived in the Town of Minden for the past 12 years.
  Mr. Moyer leaves a sister, Mrs. Bertha Covey, Amsterdam; two daughters, Mrs. Glen Douglas, with whom he made his home, and Mrs. Clyde Fitzer, Dolgeville RD; two sons, George Moyer, Town of St. Johnsville, and LeRoy Moyer, Albany; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
  The funeral was held Saturday from the Swartz Funeral Home,
Fort Plain, with Rev. Leland Webster, pastor of St. Johnsville Methodist church, officiating. Burial was made in Maple avenue cemetery, Fultonville

and Minnie King Stokes. She had been a resident of this town for the past seven years, moving here from the Town of Palatine.
  Survivors are her husband Town of Minden; two daughters. Mrs. Freda Fitzer, Dolgeville; Mrs. Glen Douglas. Town of Minden; two sons, George Moyer. Town of St. Johnsville, and Leroy Moyer, Albany; one brother, Herbert Stokes, Gloversville; one sister Mrs. Clara Taylor Johnstown; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held at the Swartz Funeral home, Tuesday at 1:20 p.m. with Rev. Chester C. Chilton, pastor of the Fort Plain Reformed church, officiating.
  Inturment will be made in Maple Avenue cemetery, Fultonville.

  ST. JOHNSVILLE Mr and Mrs. Henry W Moyer, of the Dutchtown section of the Town of Minden, observed their 60th wedding anniversary, Sunday, with a family dinner at the Ideal Rest, near St.
Johnsville Miss Jennie N, Stokes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George
Stokes, who were proprietors of the Hoffman House, at Rural Grove,
and Henry W. Moyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Moyer, Town of Root, were married on December 18, 1889, at her home.
   A newspaper account of the wedding states that there were 200 guests in attendance and that the nuptials took place at 8 P.M., in the parlor. Rev. H. H. Sangree, who was pastor of the Reformed church at Currytown, was the minister. The attendants were Miss Emma Stokes, the brides sister, and Burton Devendorf, both deceased.
   Mr. and Mrs. Moyer resided for a while at Rural Grove, and other
places in this part of Montgomery county. Mr. Moyer was engaged in farming and still is active in that work at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Douglas, Dutchtown, where they reside.
   They have two sons, George Moyer, Town of St. Johnslvlle, and Le Roy Moyer of Albany, and two daughters, Mrs. Douglas, in Minden, and Mrs. Clyde Fitzer, of Lotville, Town of Oppenheim.
   Mrs. Moyer was presented with a corsage and both of the honored guests were given a gift of money. A wedding anniversary cake was a feature of the table decorations.

  Mrs. Burdwin was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and the Old Fort Rebekah Lodge.
   She is survived by her husband, George Burdwin, Canajoharie; one daughter, Mrs. Everett Zemkin, Morrisonville; three grandchilchildren, and one brother, Emory Moyer, Sprakers R.D.

  George H. Burdwin, 76, a former resident of Dougherty's Hotel, Canajoharie, died Monday afternoon at the Physician’s Hospital, Plattsburgh. He had recently been visiting at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Everett Zemken, Morrisville.
  He was born in Hudson Jan. 8. 1890, the son of Arthur and Mary Kilmer Burdwin, and had been employed by Beech-Nut Life Savers, Inc., until his retirment in 1960
  His wife, the former Hazel Moyer, died March 3, 1960.
  Mr. Burdwin was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Canajoharie: Smith-Schultze Post No. 222, American Legion and IOOF Lodge, No. 516. Canajoharie.
  Besides his daughter, he is survived by two sisters. Miss Emma Burdwin, Elmira, and Mrs. May Rote, California; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
  Funeral services will be held this morning, July 28, at 10:30 o’clock from the Lenz Funeral Home, Canajoharie, With the Rev. Theodore E. Hammer, pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will be made in the Canajoharie Falls Cemetery.
  Services conducted by the American Legion Post were held last evening at 7 o’clock.

  Today (Wednesday) at 12 o'clock noon at the home of the bride's parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles Moyer on Reed street in this village occurred the marriage of their daughter Miss Hazel V. Moyer and George Burdwin both of this village. The ceremony took place in the parlor and was performed in the presence of a few near relatives and friends by the Rev. E. R. James, pastor of the First Reformed church in this village. The bride was attired in a gown of blue satin and carried a shower bouquet of brides roses. She was attended by Miss Emma Burdwin, sister of the groom and Emory Moyer, a brother of the bride acted as best man. After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served. They received a number of pretty and useful wedding gifts including furniture, silverware, etc. Both bride and groom are well known residents of this village and after a wedding trip to Canada and other western cities will make their future home in this village.
