ST. JOHNSVILLE - Chester Kretser died at his residence on Lion avenue Monday, February 8, after an illness of several months aged 59 years. He is survived by a widow and four daughters, all of St, Johnsville.

ST. JOHNSVILLE, July 21—Mrs. Anna Kretser, aged 58 years, widow of Chauncey Kretser, passed away Tuesday at her home at Scotch Bush, following an illness of diabetes.
Mrs. Kretser was a woman held in high esteem by all who knew her and her death causes a sorrow in the community in which she resided. She is survived by 11 children, nine daughters and two sons; 23 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The funeral will be held from her home Friday at 1 o'clock (standard time) and 2 o'clock from the Methodist Church at Scotch Bush. Interment on the Fical cemetery.

Mrs. Ruth Cromer, 81, of RD 1, St. Johnsville, died Saturday at Little Falls Hospital where she had been a patient since Oct. 10.
Born Jan. 31, 1903, in Scotch Bush, the daughter of Chauncey and Anna Weaver Cretser, she assisted in the operation of the family dairy farm, in her early years.
She was also employed as a home glove worker for various glove manufacturers until retiring in 1962.
She was a life member of the Scotch Bush Free Methodist Church, past president of its Women’s Missionary Society, assistant superintendent of the Sunday school and was active in the church’s summer conference in Saratoga.
She was also a member of the Lassellsville Western Fulton County Senior Citizens and was the historian for the Town of Ephratah from early 1960 until she became ill in 1981.
Her husband, Arthur Cromer, died in 1981.
Mrs. Cromer is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mary Ferguson of Wells House, Johnstown.
Services were held Monday and the burial took place in Fical Cemetery, Lassellsville.
Arrangements were by the Gray Funeral Home, Fort Plain.

Arthur Cromer, 81, St. Johnsville, RD 1 (Lassellsville) died Monday at 6 a.m. at the home of his nephew, Kenneth Smith, Lassellsville, following a long illness. Born Jan. 16, 1897 in Scotch Bush, Town of Ephratah, he was the son of Lyman and Lula Miles Cromer. He was married on Feb. 16, 1921 to Miss Ruth Cretser in the Scotch Bush Free Methodist Parsonage. For many years, he was a self-employed farner, retiring in 1953. He was a member of the Scotch Bush Free Methodist Church and served as trustee and treasurer for several years. Survivors in addition to his widow are several cousins. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Scotch Bush Free Methodist Church with the Rev Harold Schwab, pastor of Gary Holmes Free Methodist Church, Gerry, N.Y., assisted by the Rev. Frances Hopfer, pastor of the Scotch Bush Free Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be made in the Fical Cemetery, Town of Ephratah.

Mrs. Lydia Fredericks, 65, of St. Johnsville RD 1 (Scotch Bush section of the Town of Ephratah), died unexpectedly Thursday in her home.
She was born in the Town of Ephratah on July 14, 1905, the daughter of Chauncey and Anna Weaver Cretser, and resided in the Scotch Bush section all of her life.
For many years she was engaged in glove making in her home.
She was a member of the Scotch Bush Free Methodist Church, and song leader in the church. Her husband, Harvey Fredericks, died five years ago. Surviving are one brother, Ralph Cretser of St. Johnsville RD 1; two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Mary) Ferguson, and Mrs. Arthur (Ruth) Cromer, both of St. Johnsville RD 1; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Scotch Bush Free Methodist Church, with the Rev. Frances Hopfer, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Fical Cemetery in Scotch Bush. Friends may call at the family home after 7 p.m. today and all day Saturday.

FORT PLAIN-Harvey Frederick, 64, of Scotch Bush RD 1, St. Johnsville, died Friday at
his home.
Born in Johnstown, Mr. Frederick had lived in St. Johnsville for many years. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Scotch Bush.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lydia Cretser Frederick; five sisters, Mrs. Ella. Christman of Ephratah Mrs. Clarence Pulver of Sprakers, Mrs. Leslie Kilmartin of Nelliston, Mrs. Julia Madik of Canajoharie and Mrs. William Hoffman of Fort Plain; two brothers, Leonard Frederick of Nelliston and Edward Frederick of Palatine Bridge. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held at the residence at 2 p.m. tomorrow. Rev. Carl Hart, pastor of the Fort Plain Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Ferndale cemetery, Johnstown. The Gray funeral home, Fort Plain, is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Leah Argersinger, 86, passed away Tuesday morning at one o’clock at the L J, Smith convalescent home at Rockwood where she has been a patient for the past year. Mrs. Argersinger was born May 5, 1850, the daughter of Joseph Cool and Elizabeth Weaver Cool of Lassellsville. She was the widow of the late Gordon Argetsinger. Deceased is survivedby one son Gordon Argersinger of Lasselsville and one sister, Mrs. Harvey Lightheart of Little Falls.
Mrs. Argersinger was a member of the Scotch Bush Free Methodist church.
Funeral services will be held Thursday from the C. C. Lull funeral home at 2 o’clock, Rev. Hallenbeck, pastor of the Scotch Bush Free Methodist church officiating and burial will be made in the Fical cemetery at Lassellsville.

St Johnsville, Jan. 13.—The death of Miss Grace Argerslnger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Argersinger, died at their home at Lassellvlile yesterday at the age of 36 years. Miss Argerslnger had been ill and confined to her bed with an incurable malady for 24 years, with which she was stricken when 12 years of age. She was a patient sufferer, and was tenderly ministered to by her kind and loving parents, who survive her. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the church at Lassellville, with the Rev. C. H. Wengatz, officiating. Interment In the Fical cemetery.

Mrs. Emma Cool, who resided at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert Switzer, south of the sity, Town of Johnstown, passed away Saturday morning. Death was due to complications. Mrs. Cool was 76 years of age.
The survivors besides the daughter with whom she resided, are one son, gordon Cool, of Johnstown, and Mrs. Elsie Walrath, ov St. Johnsville and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at the home of her son, Gordon Cool, 24 West Montgomery street, Tuesday afternoon at 2. Rev. David Paton, of the Methodist church will officiate.
The remains will be placed in the recieving vault of the Johnstown cemetery until Spring, when interment will be made in the Ephratah cemetery.

Mrs. Effie Cool Switzer, wife of Alpha Switzer, passed away last night at 5:30 in the Johnstown hospital. She had been in failing health for the past four years.
Mrs. Switzer, who was 55 years of age, was bom October 15, 1880, in the Town of Ephratah, the daughter of DeWitt and Emma Duesler, Cool.
She was a resident of the Town of Mohawk for 26 years and during the past four years had resided near this city, on the extension of South Melcher street.
Mrs. Switzer attended the Methodist Episcopal church of Ephratah and had many friends in this vicinity who will mourn her passing.
She is survived by her husband, two sisters, Mrs. Charles Walrath of St. Johnsville and Mrs. George Fletcher of Johnstown; brother, Gordon Cool of Johnstown, and several nieces and nephews.
The remains were removed to the A. G. Cole funeral home to be prepared for interment and will be taken to the late home today. The funeral will be held at the home Monday afternoon at 2. Interment will be made in the Ephratah cemetery.

FONDA—Alpha Switzer, 73, of the Town of Mohawk, died Friday morning about 10;45 o'clock at the Falrchild Convalescent home, Johnstown, where he had been a patient three weeks. He had been in ill health two years.
Mr. Switzer was born in the Town of Palatine, Montgomery county, Sept. 8, 1869, son of Jacob Switzer and Elizabeth Getman Switzer. He had resided in the Town of Mohawk for 40 years and followed the occupation of farmer. He was an attendant of Fonda Reformed church. His wife, Effie, Cool Switzer, died in 1936, and since that time had been retired.
The survivors are one brother, Elmer Switzer, and one sister, Mrs. Katherine Nixon, both of Johnstown, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at the A. G. Cole funeral home, Johnstown, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Harlow S. Parsons of the Baptist church officiating. Interment will be In Ephratah cemetery.

Burt Rulison, 71, of Meco, died in Nathan Litauer hospital yesterday afternoon at 4, where he was taken earlier in the day. He suffered a heart attack and failed to rally. He had lived in the Town of Johnstown all his life.
The survivors are his wife, May; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Becker, one son Norman Rulison, of the Town of Johnstown and one sister, Mrs. Jennie Kessell of Rockwood.
The funeral will b eheld Monday at 2 P. M. in the Eugene Hpllenbeck Funeral Home, 24 Spring Street. Burial will be in Prospect Hill cemetery. The Rev. F. W. Deyan (?) of Fremont church will officiate.

Mrs. May Rulison. 75, Meco, died Saturday at midnight in the Capital Nursing home, Littauer Place, where she had been a patient one week. Prior to entering the nursing home she had been a hospital patient for a short time. She had been seriously ill for three months.
She was born in Tribes Hill but had resided in Meco and vicinity for 65 years. She was a member of the Methodist church.
The survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Charles E. Becker, Meco; one son. Norman E. Rulison, Meco; one sister, Mrs Alvah Weaver. St. Johnsville; one brother, Ezra Suits, Gloversville; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 from the Eugene Hollenbeck. Jr., funeral home. 4 Second avenue. The Rev. Paul Hydon of the North Main Street Methodist church will officiate. Burial will be in Prospect Hill cemetery.

GLOVERSVILLE — Mrs. Mary Rulison, 90, of 139 West Eighth avenue, widow of Fred Rulison, died yesterday in the Van Lone nursing home, Johnstown, where she had been a patient three years.
Born in Johnstown, Mrs. Rulison resided some 75 years in Gloversville. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are four sons, Fred Jr., William and Floyd Rulison, of Gloversville, and Pearl Rulison, of Johnstown; 27 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren and 32 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Alice S. Weaver, 68, of Specualtor, died about 3:30 yesterday afternoon shortly after arriving at Littauer Hospital.
Born in Gloversville on May 13, 1903, she was the daughter of Frederick and Almira Weaver Saxton. She was the widow of Frank Weaver, who died in 1953.
Mrs. Weaver owned summer cabins and operated a bait and ice business for several years.
She was the pianist and organist for both the St. Hubert's of the Lakes Episcopal Church and the Grace Methodist Church of Speculator, and was choir director for the Speculator Central School. She was also a singer.
Mrs. Weaver was a member of St. Huberts Church; Juanita Chapter, O.E.S., Northville, and also was chairman of the board of inspectors of the Town of Lake Pleasant
She is survived by one brother, Hugh A. Saxton of Gloversville, and several nieces and nephews.

SPECULATOR—Funeral services for Frank J. Weaver were held at the Methodist Church. The Rev. Charles Warner, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Speculator Cemetery.
The church was filled to capacity with friends and relatives, who, came to pay their last respects. Organizations attending the services in a body were the Fish House Lodge, F. & A. M., and the Juanita Chapter, OES, of Northville and the fire department of Speculator.
The chancel of the church was banked with floral tributes from relatives and friends as well as pieces from the Lions Club, Methodist Church, Fire Department, friends and neighbors of Speculator. Fish House Lodge, F. A. &c M. and Juanita Chapter, OES.

Mrs. Mary E. Grandy, 83, of 3 Hoffman Street, died at 12:50 this morning at the Johnstown Hospital where she had been a patient one week. She had been in failing health one year.
Born Nov. 21, 1885 in Johnstown, daughter of Giles and Jennie Weaver Northup, she had been a Johnstown resident more than 50 years.
Mrs. Grandy was a 50-year member of the First Baptist Church and a member of its Senior Philathea Class.
She was married April 3, 1906 at the Charleston Baptist Church to Seeber A. Grandy, who survives.
Survivors besides her husband are four sons, Whitman Grandy and Willard Grandy, both of Johnstown. George Grandy and Charles Grandy, both of Canajoharie; five grandchildren, one great - granddaughter; nieces and nephews.

Services for Seeber Grandy were conducted at 2:30 yesterday afternoon at the A. G. Cole Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert A. Rusbuldt, pastor of the Ames Baptist Church, officiating.

The body was placed in the Maple Avenue Cemetery vault, Fultonville, to await burial later.

The 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Seeber Grandy of 3 Hoffman Street, yesterday, was observed with a family party Sunday at their home.
Mr. and Mrs. Grandy, 82 and 81 respectively, were married on April 3, 1907, by Rev. O. L. Cooper at the First Baptist Church. She is the former Mary Northrup.
The attendants were the sister and brother-in-law of Mrs. Grandy, the late Mr. and Mrs. John Ouderkirk.
The couple owned and operated a farm at Ryders Corners, Town of Glen, Montgomery County, for many years. They moved to Johnstown more than 30 years ago.
They have four sons, Whitman Grandy and Willard Grandy, both of Johnstown and George Grandy and Charles Grandy, both of Canajoharie RD. They also have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
About 18 family members attended the anniversary party Sunday.

Mrs. Martha Northrup, wife of Clarence Northrup, died at 2 o'clock Friday morning at her home on the extension of South Melcher street, Johnstown. Death came following a lingering illness of a complication of diseases.
Mrs. Northrup, who was 28 years old, was born October 10, 1900, in Amsterdam, the daughter of Francis and Elisabeth Conover. She resided in Johnstown for the past year.
Besides her husband Mrs. Northrup is survlved by one daughter, iona C. Northrup: her mother. Mrs. Elizabeth Grandy, both of whom resided at the Northrup home; one sister, Mra George Plants, of the town of Mohawk, Montgomery county, and two brothers, Frank Conover, of Frankfort, and Jacob Conover of Glen.

FULTONVILLE - Robert Kruger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kruger of this village, and Miss Iona Northrup, daughter of Clarence A. Northrup of Johnstown were married Wednesday morning in the parsonage of the Fultonville Reformed church- by the Rev. H. E. Christiana, pastor.
Tho attendants were Miss Ethel Ecker of Charleston Four Corners, and John Kruger of Fultonville, a brother of Mr. Kruger.
