FOUND DEAD IN BED PROBABLY ASPHYXIATED ~ Mrs. Albert Getman Smothered to Death as the Result of an epileptic fit. Mrs. Albert Getman of No. 109 Dora Street, Johnstown, was found dead in bed Sunday morning under circumstances that point to asphyxiation as the result of an epileptic fit. When she retired on Saturday evening, Mrs. Getman was in her usual health. Her husband awoke at 6'clock Sunday morning and spoke to her, and when she made no response he was unable to awaken her. He came to the conclusion that she was dead and summoned the family physician, who confirmed his fears. Coroner Joslin was then notified and upon learning that Mrs. Getman was subject to epilepsy, decided that she must have suffered aparoxysm of that disease and in her struggles she worked her head among the pillows and bed clothing that she was smothered. From the condition of the body it thought that death must have occurred only a short time before Mr. Getman woke up. The deceased, whose maiden name was Nellie O'Fay, was a daughter of the late Martin O'Fay. She was born in Johnstown thirty-six years ago, and resided there practically all her life. She is survived by her husband; two sisters, Mrs. Louis Garnler, of Johnstown, and Mrs. Elmer Daniels, of New York; two half sisters, Mrs. Jane Moore, and Miss Margie O'Fay, of Johnstown, and a half brother, Martin O'Fay.
