 - Obituary (Amsterdam Evening Recorder, NY, Friday, May 17, 1918)
  Fort Plain, May 17, - Lewis H. churchill, aged 69 years, died at his home here yesterday. Mr. Churchill had been in poor health since last summer but had only been confined to his bed about a week. He was born at St. Johnsville and came to this village when a boy and for may years resided in Nelliston. He had lived here for the past two years. He followed the occupations of carpenter and farmer. He had many friends who will regret his passing. Mr. Churchill is survived by his widow, two sons and five daughters, Lewis Jr., of Lopez, Pa.; William, of Utice; Miss Nellie, Mrs. cora B. conrad, Mrs. Ephraim Richardson, Mrs. William B. Shults and Mrs. Morris Colegrove of Fort Plain; also eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. the funeral will be held at the home Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, the Rev. Thomas Kirkwood, pastor of the Reformed church, officiating. The interment will be made in the Fort Plain cemetery.

 - Funeral Announcement (The Morning Herald, Gloversville and Johnstown, NY, Monday, January 13, 1930)
  Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Churchill, 74, widow of Lewis H. Churchill, were held Sunday at 2 P. M. from her late home and 3 P. M. from the Catherine Nellls Memorial Chapel, Rev. Dr. Charles L. Leonard, pastor of the Fort Plain Methodist church officiating. Interment will be made in the spring in the Fort Plain cemetery. Mrs. Churchill was a lifelong resident of this town and was born May 9, 1855, a daughter of  John Driver and Catherine Grow Driver. She died Friday at Freys Bush after a short illness. The survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Ephraim Richardson, Mrs. William B.. Shults, Miss Nellie Churchill, Mrs. Morris Colgrove, and Mrs Cora Conrad, all of Fort Plain; two sons, Harry Churchill, Paterson, N. J., and William P. Churchi11, Buffalo; also nine grandchilren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers, John, Edward and Eigene Driver, Fort Plain;  William Driver, Los Angeles, Calif.
