 - Obituary (Utica Daily Press, NY, Thursday, September, 9, 1926)
Frankfort Sept 8 — Oscar House, 51, a farmer residing three miles south of Frankfort, was found hanging from a rope in his barn Tuesday. Apparently he had fastened a rope to a beam near the roof, climbed up a ladder and slipped into eternity with a noose around his neck.
Mr. House owned the farm where he lived with his wife, having purchased it some three years ago. Coroner H. J. Sheffield was called to the scene for an investigation.
It will be remembered his brother, residing on a farm a few miles out of Mohawk, some few years ago was arrested by county authorities on a murder charge and confined in the Herkimer jail. His body was found in his cell a few days after his arrest.
