SacketsHarbor, Oct. 20 - The funeral of Mrs. Jennnie Walts of this village, formerly of Watertown, whose death occured here at 8:30 Saturday evening will be held Tuesday at 1 from the late home. Rev. Miles Hutchinson of the Methodist Episcopal church, offiating. Interment will be made in North Watertown cemetery, Watertown.
Mrs. Walts, a native of the town of Lorraine, resided in Watertown most of her life where she removed with her parents as a young girl. She came here with her husband last February when he retired from business. She had been ill since that time. Cancer was the cause of death.
Mrs. Walts who was 57 years old was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Van Brocklin. She was married a number of years ago to Fred E. Walts, who survives. For years he conducted a store at 409 Court street, Watertown.
Mrs. Walts was a member of the Bethany M. E. church in Watertown and of the Garland Lodge of Rebekahs.
Besides her husband there are living two brothers Clark Van Brocklin of Alexandria Bay and Calon (?) Van Brocklin of Lafargeville- Census records seem to indicate her father's name as Abraham rather then Alexander. [WG]
