At a Surrogate's Court, held in and for the County of Genesee, at the Surrogate's Office, in the Town of Batavia, in said County, on the Thirteenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy three. Present, Hon. Lucius N. Bangs, Surrogate. Genesee County, ss. Be it remembered, that heretofore, to wit: on the twenty eighth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy three. Alexander Petrie Executor, named in the Last Will and Testament of Conrad J. Petrie late of the town of Darien in the County of Genesee, deceased, appeared in open Court before the Surrogate of said County, and made application to have said Last Will and Testament, which relates to personal estate, proved; and on such application the Surrogate did ascertain, by satisfactory evidence, who were the heirs and next of kin of the said testator and their respective residences. And said Surrogate did thereupon issue a citation in due form of law, directed to the said heirs and next of kin by their respective names, stating therein their respective places of residences, requiring the, to appear before said Surrogate, ay his office in the town of Batavia, in said County, on the Thirteenth day of June 1873, to attend the probate of said will. And Afterwards on the Thirteenth day of June aforesaid, satisfactory evidence by affidavit was produced and presented to said Surrogate, of due service of said citation, in the mode prescribed by law, and said Alexander Petrie Executor as aforesaid, appearing for the purpose of proving said Will And no one appearing to oppose the probate of such Will, such proceedings were thereupon had, that the Surrogate took the proof of said Will hereinafter set forth, upon this Thirteenth day of June A.D., 1873, and adjudges the same to be a valid will of personal estate, and the proofs thereof to be sufficient, which said last Will and Testament and proofs are as follows, that is to say: [Will]
In the name of God. Amen. I Conrad J. Petrie of the town of Darien in the County of Genesee & State of New York, being of sound mind and memory (blessed be Almighty God for the same) do make and publish this my last Will and Testament.
I give and bequeath to my sons John & Robert and my grandson james & to my daughters Irena & Alzina the sum of one dollar each.
I give and bequeath to my son Alexander & Elizabeth his wife all the rest of my property after paying from the same the several legaries already named to be theirs forever.
I do nominate and appoint my son Alexander to be the Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand & Seal, and publish & decree this to be my last Will & testament in presence of the witnesses named below this 8th day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and seventy two.

DENNISON CORNERS ... Alma Petrie, widow of the late Robert Petrie of Columbia, died Sept. 18 at the home of her nephew, A. A. Wollaber where she had home for several years. She was 89 years old. Funeral was held Sunday 2:30 P. M. at the house. Rev. E. Ridgeway officiating. Interment at Columbia. She leaves three nephews, and several great nephews and nieces to mourn her loss.
