Aura Lee King, age 29, passed away suddenly on September 14, 2009, from complications of diabetes. Aura was born June 2, 1980, in Oshkosh, the daughter of James and Gladys (Larson) King. She graduated from High School in Oshkosh in 1999.
Aura is loved and will be missed by her children, Robert and Bo'Anthony Harper and their father, Robert Harper; her mother, Gladys King of Omro; brothers and sisters, Keith (Penny) King of Rogers, Arkansas; Gregory J. (Sandy) King of Omro; Ardyce (Hank) Mayo of Eagle River and Elizabeth (Alan) Ingalls of Omro; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, James King; and grandparents, Sidney King and Elizabeth King and Melvin and Dorothy Larson.
In respect to Aura's memory, the family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home in Omro on Thursday, September 17, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with her uncle, Rev. Randall King officiating. Aura will be laid to rest in the North Rushford Cemetery. A memorial is being established.

David Wallace Emerton, 61, passed away at home in Anchorage, Alaska, on July 19, 2016, of pulmonary fibrosis.
Dave was born and raised in Alaska. He had many jobs throughout his life, including automotive painting, sandblasting and industrial coatings and related maintenance work. Dave loved music, nature and fishing with family and friends on his Kenai River property. He also liked spending quiet time with his wife and kids. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Diane Emerton; his sons, Rory and Austin; daughter-in-law, Michelle Cook; adopted kids, Jesse Sherwin and Brianne Hewitt; brothers, Steve and Larry Emerton; and sister-in-law, Mary Beth Emerton. Dave had many friends throughout his life and loved helping people with a generous heart. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. A celebration of life will be held on Aug. 19, 2016, at The Moose Lodge, 4211 Arctic Blvd. in Anchorage; it will be a potluck event starting at 3 p.m.

LACK, Charles R. "Charlie" - Of Swartz Creek, age 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at his residence, 49 years from the day he married his beloved wife, Donna, whom preceded him in death earlier this year. Charles was born in Flint, Michigan on May 6, 1937 and was a lifetime resident of Genesee County. On September 20, 1958 he married Donna Schott. Charlie was admired by all who knew him as a man of great character, kindness and strong will. He dedicated his life to the servitude of others. He touched the lives of many, inclusive of many years of hard work at GM Truck and Bus. Charlie was a member of the Optimists Club and his church, Lighthouse Baptist on Fenton Road in Flint. Surviving are mother, Faye Vincent; daughters, Kim and husband William Halls of Flint, Karen and husband Paul Lenhart of Swartz Creek; son, Rick and wife Stephanie of Fenton; 6 grandchildren, Kristine, Adam, Aaron, Amy, Kyle and Kevin; sisters, Deanna and husband Jim Wrenn of Nebraska, Sandra Robbins of Lansing, Judith and husband Jim Dixon of Rochester Hills, Michigan; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by wife, Donna and brother, James.

Spencer, Edwin Michael 5/30/1936 - 12/12/2016 Pensicola Beach, FL Spencer, Edwin Michael age 80, of Pensicola Beach, Florida (formerly of Otter Lake, MI), went to be with the Lord, Monday, December 12, 2016. He was a retiree of General Motors and the National Guard. Surviving are his fiancee, Rosemary Spain, 8 children: Jerome Spencer of Florida, Victoria (Steve) Clifford of MI, Tamara (William) Meaige of OH, Michael (Marcie) Spencer of WI, Mark (Kelli) Spencer of MI, Margo Durrenberger of TX, John (Ginger) Spencer of MI, Joseph (Ahnjayla) Spencer of CA, as well as his brother Daniel (Susan) Spencer of SC, 30 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren and a wonderful church family. He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph and his parents Arthur Edwin and Helen Ruth Spencer. A Memorial will be held in Florida at St. Francis of Assisi of Gulf Breeze at a later date. He will be missed by many.

Mercedes - Douglas W. Anklam (THEE NIPPER), 65, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017 in his residence in Mercedes.
Doug was born on Friday the 13th, July 1951 to Cecil and Gertrude (Pringle) Anklam in Saginaw, Michigan. Doug was the fourth of eight children. He graduated in 1969 from Reese High School, where he lettered in football, basketball, and baseball. He joined the US Navy in August 1969 and was honorably discharged in January 1971. Doug retired from General Motors (Saginaw Manufacturing/Delphi Chassis) in 1999 after 30.4 years of service.
Doug loved all sports and participated in fast pitch and slow pitch softball leagues, walleye fishing and was an avid golfer. However, he loved bowling the most. Doug bowled in leagues in Saginaw, Bay City, Frankenmuth, Caro, Reese, Richville, and Standish. Over the years, Doug attended 20 national and many state and local tournaments and achieved two separate, perfect 300 games in 1993 and 2006. Doug served on the Frankenmuth Bowling Association as a board member for 16 years and retired as president in 2000. Doug was also honored with an induction to the Frankenmuth/Vassar Hall of Fame in November 2008.
Doug married Linda Lou Gassman on September 28, 1998. Doug's easy going and down-to-earth personality resulted in an extensive list of friends and family who survive him to cherish his memory and share some great stories.
Doug is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughters, Stacey Anklam of London, England, Jill (Geoffrey) Lansky of Kalamazoo, Michigan; step children, Brian (Missy) Canfield of Cilo, Michigan, Susan (Jerry) Osborne of Wetumpka, Alabama, Major Jason (Christin) Tebedo. Doug has been blessed with nine grandchildren, Cassie, Scotty and Rosie Canfield; Ajsik, Avah, and Adi Lansky; Evan Chartrand, Hannah Grace Royal, and Alexis Tebedo; and one great grandchild, Asher; his brothers, Cecil Jr. and Roger Anklam; brother-n-law, Steve Parker; sister-n-law, Paula Anklam; and mother-n-law, Delphine Gassman; along with special nephews and nieces, Scott and Chad Parker and their families; Laura Anklam and Lisa (Scott) Elders; Ryan, Tony, and Stephen Anklam survive their favorite Uncle Doug. Doug was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clayton, Michael, and Leonard; Doug's best friend and brother, Arthur; his favorite and only sister, Janet; sister-n-law, Ann Anklam; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers and great friends. Doug and Linda spent the last nine winters in Harlingen/Mercedes, Texas, making many friends and lived in AuGres Michigan in the summer where they have made strong bonds with many people. Those whom will sorely miss Doug include, Larry and Marty Violette; Captain Ken and Joann Watson.
Cremation has taken place and Doug will be laid to rest with his other family members in Buena Vista Cemetery. A memorial service will be scheduled in Michigan at a later date.
