  Area Couple Wed In Upper Sandusky
  Aisles were decorated with candle aisle lights, white bows and ivy greenery and the altar of Trinity United Methodist Church, Upper Sandusky, was graced with a traditional unity arrangement consisting of white silk gladioli, lavender poppies, pink roses and African violets, also two, nine-branch candelabras, for the wedding of Laura Denise Ruffener and T. Jeffery Rail.
  The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Ruffener of 70 Wyandot Road, Bucyrus, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Rail of 321 Guthrie St., Upper Sandusky, were married in a 6:30 p.m., double-ring ceremony April 23.
  The Rev. John Hoover officiated and nuptial music was furnished by organist Debbie Powell and vocalists Bradley Ruffener and Carl Clime.
   The bride was escorted to the altar by her father, wearing an ivory organza gown over bridal taffeta. The dress was fashioned with a fitted bodice defined with Venice lace, sweetheart Queen Anne neckline, full bishop sleeves, accented with lace flowerettes and full A-line skirt edged with Venice lace.
  The chapel train featured a back accent panel of organza with lace trim and edged with a hem pleated flounce. The bride's hat was of ivory pleated organza brim and a crown of lace. Falling from it were a chapel length veil of illusion and streamers.
  Bridal flowers were a colonial nosegay of white silk roses, white daisies and silk African violets and white flocked baby's breath.
   Lesley Ruffener of Bucyrus, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, wearing a dress of grape color. Bridesmaids Karen Daley, sister of the groom; Diana Shifley, MicheleCoffman and Diane Gerhart, all wore mauve frocks.
  Flower girl Sarah Veith, niece of the groom, wore a lavender dress with white lace overskirt. Best man was David Jury, cousin of the groom and ushers were Tom Veith, brother-in-law of the groom; Bradley Ruffener, brother of the bride, Craig Marshall and Jerry Bush. Jeremy Roberts was ringbearer.
  The groom wore a candlelight Ashley tuxedo and ivory pleated wingshirt. His groomsmen wore gray ascots with white pleated wingshirts.
  For a reception at St. Peter's School, Upper Sandusky, Pam Hartschuh was guest book attendant.
  Catering was by Karen Chandler, from whom the cake was a gift to the bride and groom.
  Servers were Dodie Jury, Kathy Ruehle, Paula Sipe. Acolytes were Craig Miller and Tommy Veith. Programs were distributed by Lori Davis and Lee Ann Seifert. Birdseed distributors were Amy Seifert and Kelly Davis.
  After a honeymoon at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the couple is at home at 887 Crawford-Wyandot County Line Road, Bucyrus.
  The new Mrs. Rail graduated , in 1981 from Wynford High School.
She is employed as a dental assistant in the office of Dr. P. J. Yaussy, Bucyrus.
  Her husband graduated in 1977 from Upper Sandusky High School and is employed with Mar-Metal..

  Couple honored at open house
  An open house was held recently at the home of Gerald and Sharon Ruffener, 70 Wyandot Road, Bucyrus, to honor the marriage of their son Brad to Mary Kay Elia. Brad graduated from Wynford in 1983 and Ohio State University in 1988. He now teaches physics and general science and coaches wrestling at Woodrow Wilson High School in Portsmouth, Va. Mary graduated in 1985 from Cleveland Heights High School in Cleveland and attended Ohio State University. She is employed at Albano Cleaners in Chesapeake, Va.
  The couple resides at 80 S. Kingsbridge PL, Chesapeake, Va. 23320.

  Bill Simpson, 54, of Phoenix, the owner of Wild Bill's Welding, died Aug. 15, 1989. He was born in Ohio. Survivors include his wife, Sarah A.; his daughter; his mother; and two brothers. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale. Services: 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Sarah Anna Auck

  Sarah Anna Simpson, age 81, of Crestline, died unexpectedly Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at her home.
  Sarah was born December 24, 1934 at home in New Washington to the late Walter J. and Mable (Light) Auck. She was a graduate of Tiro High School. Sarah had worked at Shelby Salesbook Company until 1966 when her family moved to Arizona. While in Arizona, she worked for, and later retired from, JCPenney in Phoenix. While in Arizona, Sarah and her family had a horse boarding stable where at one time they had over 100 boarded horses on their 40 acre farm. After the death of her husband in 1989 she returned to her family farm in Crestline to care for her parents. In the winter months, Sarah enjoyed embroidery as a hobby.
  Sarah is survived by: her daughter: Penny (Roy) Fulcher of Phoenix, AZ; her brother: Warren (Shirley) Auck of Crestline; her sister, Florence Striker of Kenton; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James William “Bill” Simpson in 1989.
  Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 12 noon- 1 pm at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will immediately follow at 1 pm with Pastor Walter Keib, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Shelby, officiating. Burial will be in Green Acres Cemetery in Scottsdale, Arizona. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

  Miss Sarah Ann Auck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Auck, of Crestline and James William Simpson were married August 29 in the Hope Evangelical and Reform church, at Sulphur Springs, Ohio.
   The bridegroom vis the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Simpson of Tiro, Ohio. Billy as he is known, in Spencerville is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Cole, of Spencerville, and made his home with them during the summer months.
  Both Mr. and Mrs. Simpson are gradustes of Tiro high school. Mrs. Simpson in employed at the Shelby salesbook Co., in Shelby, and Mr. Simpson at the I.G.A. store in Shelby. The couple will make their home in Tiro.
