Donald O. Fielding, 84, of Tressler Boulevard, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
Donald was born April 26, 1928, in Norwich, N.Y, the son of the late Leo A. and Leona J. (Brown) Fielding. On May 23, 1947, he married the former Irene Kahler, who survives.
They celebrated 65 years of marriage.
Donald was a graduate of LaSalle University, where he earned a degree in accounting.
He was employed as a controller for the texize division of Dow Chemical, Mauldin, S.C., retiring in 1987.
Donald was a member of Mifflinburg United Methodist Church, Mifflinburg, and Oxford Lodge 175, Free & Accepted Masons, Norwich.
He lived a full life, was an avid water painter, pen-and-ink artist and wood carver. Earlier in life, Donald enjoyed fishing, hunting and flying his airplane.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and David Sheridan, of Somerville, N.J., and Connie and David Griswold, of Preble, N.Y; one sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Richard Conley, of West Virginia; six grandchildren, David Sheridan and his wife, Pamela, Alyssa Sheridan, Brieanna Sheridan, Tia Sheridan, Stacy Griswold and Michael Griswold; and two great-grandchildren, Aidan and Connor Sheridan.
He was predeceased by one grandson, Spencer Sheridan, in April.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 5, in the Buffalo Valley Commons, Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg. The time will be announced.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions be made to Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries, Benevolence Endowment Fund, Office of Advancement, 798 Hausman Road, Suite 300, Allentown, PA 18104.

Mr. Harold J. DeCarr, “Deke” 88, of Utica, passed on March 12, 2017 at his home.
He was born on May 11, 1932 in Richfield Springs, NY, to the late Albert and Eva (Dunn) DeCarr. He was educated in Dolgeville schools, graduate ‘Class of 1950.’
A talented athlete, he lettered in football, baseball and basketball. He was proud to have been on several championship teams under the leadership of Coach Bynon. In 2005 he was inducted into the Dolgeville Football Hall of Fame along with his sons Scott and Doug. As a teen, he did an apprenticeship with Smiley Surveying in Dolgeville. He also briefly attended college at Cortland.
His marriage to Lois Margaret Borst took place May 15, 1954 at St. Joseph’s Church in Dolgeville. The couple attended that church for many years.
He had a long career in the construction field and retired as bridge superintendent from Bell Construction Co. in Rochester.
He is survived by his wife, Margie, his children, Amy (Patrick) Clearey of Middleville, Michele (Bill) Cleary of Shephard, Montana, and their children, Jessica, Dustin, and Billy; Doug (Nancy) DeCarr of Foxboro, MA and their children, Alexa, Austin, and Blake; and Mary (John) Burrows of San Diego, CA and their children, Brandon and Bryn, granddaughter, Heather DeCarr, along with great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and In-Laws. He was predeceased by his son Scott DeCarr and a grandson, Nate Dineen, as well as brothers, Carl, Don, Charles and Robert, and his nephew, Joe DeCarr.
There are no services. The family will hold a graveside ceremony at Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills at their convenience.

The bride, presented in marriage by her father and step-father, wore a full-length gown of bridal satin with an Alencon lace V-neck bodice, short sleeves with lace insets accented with sequins and pearls, and a detachable cathedral-length train with lace beaded cutouts and a beaded border.
Maid of honor was Heather Peine of Coppell, Tex., sister of the bride. Attendants were Valerie Shelton of Princeton, W. Va., sister of the groom, and Sarah Kalivoda, Albuquerque, N.M., sister of the bride.
Best man was Donald Nitti of Fayetteville, N.C. Groomsmen and ushers were Kevin Shelton, Lynchburg, Va., brother of the groom, Kelly Shelton, Blacksburg, Va., cousin of the groom, Chris Marsh, Lynchburg, Va., Lacy White, Vienna, Va., Brent Mays, Fredericksted, SL Croix, Virgin Islands.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Laurel Brigade Inn in Leesburg, Va.
The bride is a 1987 graduate of Newman Smith High School. She is employed with American Airlines as a flight attendant.
The groom is a 1983 graduate of Heritage High Scholl and graduated from George Mason University in 1992. He is employed with the U.S. Secret Service in Washington, D.C.
After a wedding trip to Antigua, the couple will reside in Sterling, Va.

The marriage of Connie Jo Ferguson Kalivoda and Wayne G. Peine both of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., was solemnized Saturday, August 13, at 2:00 p.m., at the All Saints Catholic church in Wichita, with Msgr. Herbert Hertel officiating the double ring ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Ferguson of Belleville, and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Peine of New Trier, Minn.
Musicians were Sandra Collier, organist and Kitty Broderick, soloist both of Wichita.
The bride, escorted to the alter by her father, wore a gown of ivory crepe with long fitted wrist length sleeves. The skirt front draped to the side and was trimmed with a rosette of the crepe. She wore an organza and Venice lace picture hat with streamers of nylon organza. She carried a bouquet of white roses, stephanotis and greenery and a white rosary which belonged to her grandmother. Her only jewelry was a diamond and sapphire neckalace, a gift from the groom.
Mrs. Tom Butler of Camdenton, Mo., a friend of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a light blue crepe gown with a matching flower trimmed picture hat and carried a single yellow rose with greenery. Stacy Jo Kalivoda, daughter of the bride was flower girl. She wore a light blue polyester crepe gown trimmed with white lace and carried a nosegay of yellow and white daisies.
Bestman was Joel Peine of New Trier, Minn., brother of the groom. Ushers were Tom Ferguson of Dodge City, and Sgt. Michael Ferguson of Offutt AFB, Omaha, Ne., brothers of the bride.
The guest book was attended by Miss Julie Francis of Wichita, a cousin of the bride. Miss Janella Kay Ferguson of Dodge City, niece of the bride, distributed rice bags.
A reception and dinner were held at the Ramada Inn in Wichita. Assisting with the reception were Mrs. Dennis Blesener of Red Wing, Minn., Mrs. Willard Bauer of Hastings, Minn., both sisters of the groom, Mrs. Tom Ferguson of Dodge cityr, sister-in-law of the bride.
Peine is Chief Industrial Engineer for Kay Windsor Co.
The couple will be at home in Lawrenceburg, Tenn.
