  Larry T. Flanders, passed away January 6, 2005 at his home of cancer. Born in Fresno, California 1944, he grew up in Fort Plain, New York and was married to Catherine DeLorenzo from Duxbury, MA for 37 years. The Flanders family lived in the San Gabriel Valley for the last 25 years. Larry is survived by his wife, Catherine; 4 children, Brian C. Flanders of Corona, CA, Colleen M. Williams o f New Market, MD, Michael W. Flanders of Ponte Vedre Beach, FL, Davida A. Underbrink of Corpus Christi, TX and 3 grandchildren: Holden Flanders, Douglas Williams and Mary Catherine Underbrink. Services will be held at 10:00AM, Thursday, January 13, 2005 at St. Therese Catholic Church in Alhambra. Marriage Notes for Larry Thomas Flanders and Catharine Delorenzo

  Miss Catherine Frances DeLorenzo, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John DeLorenzo, Duxbury, Mass., and Larry Thomas Flanders, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harley T Flanders. Willett street, Fort Plain, were married at 3 pm. Sunday, June 11, in Holy Family Church, Duxbury. The Rev. Francis J. Cloherty performed the ceremony during a Nuptial Mass.
  The church was decorated wrth chrysanthemums and gladioli. The organist was Mrs A. Morrison, while Joseph Govoni was the soloist.
  Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a peau de sole gown fashioned with an empire bodice and long p*****d sleeves of alencon lace embroidered with clusters of **************. The gown was designed with an a line skirt and a cathedral lengty train, while a silk illusion veil was attached to a matching lace crown. She carried a cascade bouquet of white roses, phalaenopsis orchids and stephanotis.
  The mald of honor was Miss Linda Delorenzo, sister of the bride, while the bridesmaids were the Misses Margaret Woodman, Judith Ruggles, Carol Grover and Janet LaMacchia.
  The attendants were attired in cornflower blue silk organdy empire gowns fashioned with self-ruffled necklines, a-line skirts with gathered back and floor length panels. They chose blue and green two-tone veils and carried bouquets of bachelor buttons and miniature carnations.
  Laverne Smith, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, was the best man. Ushers were John D. DeLorenzo, Daniel Federico, Haymond Creedon and Roland Lozcau.
  The bride's mother wore an aqua silk dress with a corsage of pink roses, while the bridegroom's mother chose a blue crepe dress with a corsage of pink roses.
  Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the White Cliffs of Plymouth, Plymouty, Mass. Later the couple left on a wedding rip to Bermuda.
  The bride, a graduate of Duxbury High School. Class of 1954, and Fisher Junior College, class of 1966, is employed as a secretary. The bridegroom graduated from Fort Plain
Central School, Class of 1962, Hudson Valley Community College, class of 1964, and this month received his degree from Bentley College of Accounting and Finance.
  The couple will reside at Arlington. Mass.

  St. James Church, Fort Plain, was the scene of the June 4 wedding of Miss Barbara Ann Flanders, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harley T. Flanders of Fort Plain and LaVeme Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wagner Smith of Nelliston. Rev. John J. Sullivan officiated.
  Honor attendants were Mrs. Alford Mosher Jr. and Larry T. Flanders, and other members of the bridal party included Miss Lavina Smith, Miss Judith Flanders, Alford Mosher Jr., Donald Smith and Donald Smith Jr. A reception followed at the Iroquois Lanes lodge, Canajoharie.
  The bride, a graduate of Fort Plain central school and Utica School of Commerce, is secretary for Attorney Frederick J. Kirkpatrick, Fort Plain.
  Also.a graduate of Fort Plain central school, Mr. Smith is employed by the Palatine Dying Company, St. Johnsville.
  The couple will reside at 35 Willett Street, Fort Plain.

  FORT PLAIN - Miss Betty Lee Flanders, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harley T. Flanders, 33 Willett street. Fort Plain, and Mark Gander, son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Gander, Bunker Hill road, Mayfield, were married Sept. 4, at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Fort Plain, by Father Charles Walsh who performed the nuptial Mass.
  The church altar was decorated with vases of carnations dyed to match the gowns of the attendants. Miss Kim Erhardt, the organist, played Lohengrin's “Wedding March”, “For All We Know”, “Close to You”, “We’ve Only Just Begun”, “Color My World”, “Everything Is Beautiful” and “Top of the World.”
  Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a full length gown of flocked voile draped over taffeta. The high rise neckline was adorned with a wedding ring collar of scalloped Venise lace, while the fitted bodice was accented with rows of matching lace. The long puffed sleeves ended in lace cuffs and the controlled skirt in deep ruffles at the hemline. A matching mantilla fell from the bride’s Camelot headpiece. She carried a cascade bouquet of white carnations, daisies and baby’s breath.
  The maid of honor was Miss Wendy Reddy, Fort Plain, a friend of the bride, while the bridesmaids were Miss Terry Gray, Fort Plain, a friend of the bride, and Miss Sharon Gander, Mayfield, cousin of the bridegroom. The miniature bride was Miss Kimberly Rice, Fort Plain, niece of the bride.
  The maid of honor was attired in a Nile green full length gown, while the bridesmaids wore orchid and yellow gowns of flocked voile over taffeta styled with portrait necklines and fitted bodices accented with white lace. Their gowns were fashioned with semi-empire waistlines and long puffed sleeves with matching lace on the cuffs and A-line skirts with ruffles at the hemline. The attendants wore matching picture hats and carried bouquets of carnations and daisies dyed to match their gowns.
  The miniature bride was attired in a long gown made by her mother similar to the bride’s. It was of white dotted Swiss adorned with lace. She wore a white picture hat trimmed with lace and carried a bouquet of daisies and carnations to match those of the bridesmaids.
  The mother of the bride chose a long two-piece ensemble of French aqua in polyester and chiffon with a bordered jacket of crocheted lace and a corsage of aqua carnations. The mother of the bridegroom wore a full length gown of chiffon over taffeta in petal pink with a portrait neckline, fitted bodice, controlled skirt and long puffed sleeves with deep cuffs and a corsage of pink carnations.
  The best man was Anthony Avella, Rego Park, a friend of the bridegroom, while the ushers were George Harrington, Mayfield and Albert Dejowal, Queens, New York City, friends of the couple. The miniature bridegroom was Jeffrey Smith, Fort Plain, a nephew of the bride.
  Following the ceremony, a reception for approximately 75 guests was held at the Mohawk Valley VFW Post home, Fort Plain. A roast beef dinner was served and music for dancing was furnished by Ernie Kane and his orchestra. Later, the couple left on a wedding trip along the eastern seaboard.

  The bride, given in marriage by her father, is the daughter of Mr. Edward C. Knoeck, this village, and of
the late Mrs. Knoeck. Mr. Pavlus is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Pavlus, this village.
  Miss Donna Locorini was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs/ Dalbert Sweet, the bridegroom's  sister, Miss Donna Dievendorf, Nelliston, and the Misses Barbara and Judith Flanders, cousins of the bride, Miss Robin Swartz, also a cousin, was the flower girl.
  ----- was best man, Ushering were John Knoeck, the bride's brother; Dalbert
Sweet, the bridegroom's brother-in -law;  Anthony Diviyak, Johnstown, the bridegroom's cousin, and William Dutcher. Master Kevin Gould Oak1and, N. J., a cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
  A reception was held in the Otsquago Fish and Game Club. Having returned from their trip to Niagara Falls and Canada, the couple is living at RD 2, Fort Plain.
  The bride is employed by the General Telephone Company of Upstate New York, Canajoharie. Her husband is associated with the Niagara Mohawk Power Corp.
