  Mrs. Linda J. DeRocker died Sunday, September 14, 2008 following a long illness. Her loving husband was at her side.
  She was born February 19, 1947 to Mildred Wemple Ellithorpe and the late John "Bob" Ellithorpe.
   Linda married the love of her life on August 22, 1965, Roger M. DeRocker who survives. She is also survived by her daughters, Jennifer Blowers Terence of Caroga Lake and Tracey Halloran Daniel of Broadalbin; her five adoring grandchildren, Clara, Ian, Aileen, Sadie and Tavien; her mother, Mildred Ellithorpe of Mayfiled; her sisters Amy Seeley of Gloversville and Merry Ann Ellithorpe of New Hampshire. Linda also leaves behind several other family members and friends that were special to her.
  Linda's passions were taking all day Sunday to make her family a beautiful meal, baking with her grandchildren, vacationing in Maine, shopping for her grandchildren and Christmas. Her artistic abilities were in her sewing. Her embroidery and quilt work is truly amazing and will always be treasured.

  Deanna Lee Shaw, 71, left her family early Friday morning April 20th, 2012. She was born on October 15, 1940 in Watertown, NY.
  Throughout the majority of her occupational career, Deanna worked in and taught computer programming and was the director of data processing at Arizona Western College. One of the founders of Grace Way Church, she also sang in the choir for years with the Community Christian Church, and received a community service award for the Habitat for Humanity outreach program. She had an Associate in Applied Science degree with a special teaching certificate for the areas of data processing and key punch operations. Amassed an impressive collection of work with her arts and crafts, creating stitch work, beadwork, and framework for wall art, greeting cards, bracelets, bookmarks amongst other things, with first place wins at the Yuma Country Fair and the Arizona State Fair.
  Deanna is survived by her husband, Richard D. Shaw of Yuma, AZ; son, Kyle W. Branche of Woodland Hills, CA; brothers, Robert Howe of Williams, AZ and Jeffery Howe of Yuma, AZ; sister, Barbara Howe of Yuma AZ and many nieces and nephews.
  She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Dorothy Howe; brother, Ray Howe and sister, Billie Dawn Howe.
  Funeral service will be held at Yuma Mortuary on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. Her final resting place will be at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
  Pallbearers will be Wayne Leeds, Kyle Branche, Benjamin Crosbie, Karl Crosbie, Jacob Leeds and Richard Nix.

Marriage Notes for Richard L Hanson and Pamela Hatch

 - Wedding Announcement (The Leader-Herald, Gloversville-Johnstown, NY, Monday, January 9, 1967)
  Miss Pamela Hatch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Hatch of Fort Johnson  was united in marriage to Richard L. Hanson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Hanson III of Tribes Hill at 2 Saturday afternoon at the Tribes Hill Presbyterian church, Tribes Hill. Rev Eugene Bilotti, pastor, performed the double ring ceremony. The church was decorated with vases of white gladoll, white mums and palms.
  Mrs. Alice Warren of Amsterdam, organist, played the wedding march. Miss Carol Brownell of Tribes Hill, cousin of the bridegroom, sang the Lord's Prayer" and "Because." The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a white ballerina peau d'ange lace gown, over white satin. The silhouette jewel neckline was encircled by a band of satin with long bishop sleeves of lace. The shoulder length veil of silk illusion was caught to a Juliet cap of scalloped satin edged in pearl trim and a crystal drop.
  She carried a cascade arrangement of white roses. Attached were white streamers accented with stephanotis. Miss Mildren Hanson of Tribes Hill, sister of the bridegroom was the maid of honor. She wore a street length loden green gown of silk faille, with three quarter sleeves with a bell controlled skirt.
   Her headpiece consisted of a pillbox banded hat with swiss ribbon, topped by an angel wing veil. She carried a cascade arrangement of white mums and red carnations tied with white streamers.
  George Hanson of Tribes Hill served as best man for his brother. Joseph Robilotto, brother-in-law of the bride, was usher. The bride's mother was attired in a gold velet suit topped with a white lace blouse. She wore a gold feathered hat, matching accessories and a corsage of white and yellow mums.
  A reception was held in the church hall following the ceremony. For the wedding trip, the bride chose a two-piece blue wool suit, with matching hat and wore a corsage of white roses. The couple will be at home following the wedding trip at Hanson Drive, Tribes Hill.
  The bride is a graduate of the Amsterdam High School, class of 1965. She attended the Atlantic Airline School at Kansas City, Mo., and is now employed with Vita Mart, Amsterdam. The bridegroom attended the Fonda - Fultonville Central School and is employed by his father.
  Wedding guests were present from Gloversville, Johnstown, Meco, Fonda, North Branford, Conn., Tribes Hill, Fort Johnson and Amsterdam. Gifts were presented to the attendants at a party held Friday night at the home of the bridegroom's parents after rehearsal.

  Tribes Hill Presbyterian Church was the scene of the July 8 wedding ceremony which united Miss Mildred Arlene Hanson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Hanson Jr. of Tribes Hill, and Richard Thomas Fyfe, son of James Fyfe, Pattersonville and Mrs. Elizabeth Stringer of Broadalbin. The Rev. Eugene Billotti officiated the nuptials.
  Escorted by her father, the bride was attended by her sister, Miss Margaret Hanson, maid of honor; Miss Marion Wilder, bridesmaid; Miss Marie Hanson, junior bridesmaid; and Miss Lorri Hanson, flowergirl.
  James Fyfe of Rome, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Bruce Yesse, Burnt Hills, and George Hanson, brother of the bride, ushered. Mark Fyfe, brother of the bridegroom was the ringbearer. The reception was held at the Rainbow Restaurant, Johnstown.
  A graduate of Fonda-Fultonville Central High School, the bride is employed by the Big N. Mr. Fyfe. a graduate of Broadalbin High School, is employed by the Chevron Gas Co. Following a wedding trip to Nova Scotia, the couple will reside at 3 DeGraff St., Amsterdam.

  Mrs. Mildred A. Fyfe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Hanson Jr. of Tribes Hill, was united in marriage to Charles E. Moran, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Moran of 10 Pennsylvania Avenue, in a double ring ceremony performed by Rev. Jack Millard, pastor, at the Fonda Reformed Church Friday night, Oct. 29.
  The matron of honor was Mrs. Donna Eggleston of Glen, the bride's cousin Gwendolyn Simonds of Fonda, the bride's niece, was flower girl. David Vertucci of Fonda was best man Richard Fyfe Jr., the bride's son, was ring bearer. George Hanson of Tribes Hill., brother of the bride, and Patrick Eggleston of Glen, a cousin of the bride, were ushers.
  About 50 guests from Johnstown, Fonda, Tribes Hill and Gloversville attended a reception following the ceremony at the home of the bride's parents.
  The bridegroom is employed by the State Thruway Authority.
  The couple is residing in Tribes Hill.

  Miss Margaret J. Hanson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Hanson Jr. of Tribes Hill became the bride of Airman 2/c Martin A. Simonds, son of Mr and Mrs. Ambrose Simonds of Fonda at a ceremony at 1 Saturday afternoon at the Tribes Hill
Presbyterian Church. Rev. Eugene Billotti, pastor, performed the double ring ceremony.
  The church was decorated with baskets of white flowers and Kenneth VanWie, organist, played traditional wedding music and solos were by Mrs. Mabel Currie and Miss Carol Brownell both of Tribes Hill.
  The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white A-line gown designed with an Empire waist and accented with Chantilly lace down the front. The separate full length chapel train, outlined with matching lace, fell from her shoulders. She wore a matching triple bow to hold her puffed shoulder length silk illusion veil and carried a white Bible with two Gerogina orchids and white butterfly roses.
   Mrs. Marion Wilder of Junction City, Kan., was matron of honor for her sister. Bridal attendants were Mrs. Mildred Fyfe of Amsterdam, sister of the bride; Miss Cheryl Sager of Johnstown; Miss Bernadine Kutnicki of Hagaman and Donna Hanson of Tribes Hill, cousin of the bride. Miss Marie Hanson of Tribes Hill, sister of the bride, was junior bridesmaid. Miss Felica Silva of North Branford, Conn., cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
  The matron of honor wore a floor length cage-style gown in Peach chiffon over lace with matching circular head band and veil. She carried a basket of peach and lime colored pompons, accented-with talisman roses and peach colored streamers.
  The attendants wore gowns identical to the matron of honor only in limetwist and carried baskets of yellow and bronze pompons accented with autumn leaves and lime colored streamers.
  The junior bridesmaid wore an identical gown in baccaret and carried a basket of bronze pompons in various shades and accented with gold streamers. The flower girl wore a floor length cage-style gown in white chiffon with matching Dior bow and veil. She carried a basket of white pompons with talisman roses and white streamers
  Rodney Simonds of Fonda, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Timothy Simonds of Fonda, brother of the bridegroom; Richard L. Hanson of Tribes Hill, brother of the bride; Robert Hayes of Johnstown and Ronald Wadsworth of Fultonville.
   Lawrence Simonds of Fonda, brother of the bridegroom was junior usher and Walter Waffle of Palatine Bridge, cousin of the bridegroom, was ringbearer.
  The mother of the bride wore a cocktail length A-line gown in peppermint green of Florentine lace designed with a peau-de-sole collar ending a back tie, long sleeves edged in peau de sole with matching accessories. She also wore a petal pillbox and cage veil and a double yellow cymbidium corsage.
  The mother of the bridegroom wore a cocktail length cagestyle gown in peakist Chantilly lace with long tapered sleeves and matching accessories. She also wore a pillbox hat with lace and a double yellow cymbidium corsage.
  A reception was held following the ceremony at the Chelse House at Tribes Hill with guests attending from Johnstown, Gloversville, Hagaman, Amsterdam, Fort Johnson, Broadalbin, Utica, Fort Plain, Fonda, Fultonville, Palatine Bridge, Northville, and Tribes Hill.
  Guests also attended from Queens Village, L.I.; North Branford, Conn.; Suitland, Md.; Junction City, Kan. and New Haven, Conn. Music was provided by the Johnny Cole Trio of Tribes Hill.
   For a wedding trip to an undisclosed destination the bride wore a orange and navy wool tweed suit with navy accessories and a white orchid corsage.
  The bride is a graduate of Fonda-Fultonville Central School and is employed at Royces shoe store in Amsterdam.
  The bridegroom is a graduate of Fonda - Fultonville Central School and is in the Air Force stationed at Eglln Air Force Base, Fla.
  They will reside at Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
  Gifts were presented to the attendants following rehearsal Friday night at the home of the bridegroom's parents.

  Sharon L. Lizio, age 68, of Johnstown, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
  She was born on October 10, 1948 in the Town of Johnstown, a daughter of the late Charles and Beverly Blood Hanson.
  Sharon was employed for several years at Coleco in Amsterdam and later on at the Johnstown Knitting Mill. She was a gifted sewer and quilter. Mrs. Lizio also enjoyed crafting dolls and painting. Sharon was of the Presbyterian faith.
   Survivors include her husband Thomas J. Lizio whom she married on June 14, 1996, one daughter Connie Carver (Pat) of Mayfield; two sons Donald Ladeau, Jr. of Johnstown and Edward Ladeau (Mary) of Mayfield; stepson Michael R. Lizio (Matthew Smutlzer) of Portland, Oregon, stepdaughter Christine Klippert (Mike) of Surprise, Arizona; two brothers Gary Hanson and Charles “Chuck” Hanson, both of Tribes Hill, one sister Linda Hayward (Gary) of Fultonville; grandchildren Austin Ladeau, Emily Ladeau, Danielle Klippert, Keeghan Carver and Koldyn Carver and several nieces and nephews.
  Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill immediately following the funeral service.
