  Bernice F. Miller, 72, a resident of 2203 Co. Rt. 8, Minetto, passed away July 17, 2009 at University Hospital, Syracuse.
  Born in Fulton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Mildred (Battles) Reed. She worked at Columbia Mills and later became a self-employed hairdresser. She then worked for the County with various positions and spent many years as the Minetto Town Clerk.
  She was a member of the Elk's Aux for 24 years. Her enjoyments were crafting and traveling with her husband and their time spent in Florida.
  Surviving are her husband of 54 years, William A. Miller, two daughters, Melissa A. Miller (Brian Daley) of Oswego; Patricia M. (Raymond) Johnson of Minetto; a son, Andrew W. Miller (Shelly Dodds) of the Town of Fowler; a sister, Cynthia (Larry) Kelly of Minetto; four grandchildren, Lisa Dashnau, Tiffany (Justin) Farella, Erika Johnson and Rachel Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Makayla Mesec and Maddison Dashnau.
  Funeral Services will be held 10a.m. Tuesday at the Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Minetto Cemetery. Calling hours will be held 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Monday at the funeral home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.

  William A. Miller, 82, of Minetto, died January 29, 2017 at home.
  Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Andrew and Catherine (Eick) Miller.
  He was a member of the National Guard.
  He worked as a Millwright and Carpenter for the Local 747.
  His hobbies were hunting, golfing, boating and playing cards. He enjoyed spending time in Florida with his wife.
  Surviving are two daughters, Melissa A. Miller (Brian Daley) of Oswego; Patricia M. (Raymond) Johnson, of Minetto; a son, Andrew W. (Shelly Dodds) Miller of the Town of Fowler; 3 brothers,; David Spilman; Stanley Spilman; Nicholas (Gina) Spilman;; two sisters, Barbara (Phil) Tulley; Roxanne (Bill) Bush; four grandchildren, Lisa Dashnau; Tiffany (Justin) Farella, Erika Johnson and Rachel Johnson; great-grandchildren, Makayla Mesec; Maddison Dashnau; Katie Devendorf, Everett Farella; Trevor Farella; several nieces and nephews.
  He was predeceased by his wife, Bernice (Reed) Miller and siblings Kenley Spilman and Carl Spilman.
  Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday with services to follow, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.

  Cynthia L. Kelly, 70, a resident of Co Rt. 8, Minetto, passed away June 11, 2011 at the Oswego Hospital. Born in Fulton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Mildred (Battles) Kelly. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed golfing, gardening and her trips to the casino. She loved her animals and taking care of her family and grandchildren. Surviving are her husband, Larry H. Kelly Sr.; a daughter, Kristine (Dan) Frauenhofer of Minetto; three sons, Larry Kelly Jr. and Phillip (Janet) Kelly, both of Minetto; Daniel (Noelle) Kelly of Deltona, Fl; eight grandchildren, Ryan Bolia of Minetto; Steven Kelly, Jeffery Kelly, Joshua Kelly and Anthony Kelly of Utah; Carrie Kelly and P.J. Kelly of Minetto; Cody Kelly of Florida; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Bernice Miller. Funeral Services will be held 10a.m. Tuesday at the Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Minetto Cemetery.   Larry H. Kelly Sr., 77, of Co Rt. 8, Minetto, passed away October 20, 2012 at the Oswego Hospital.
  Born in Fulton, NY, he was the son of the late Herbert and Marie (Gross) Kelly.
  He was a US Army Veteran, serving from 1957 to 1959.
  He was employed at Armstrong for more than 30 years, retiring as a Supervisor.
  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time at his camp on the lake.
  Surviving are a daughter, Kristine (Dan) Frauenhofer of Minetto; three sons, Larry (Bonnie) Kelly Jr. and Phillip (Janet) Kelly, both of Minetto; Daniel (Noelle) Kelly of Deltona, Fl; his brother, Herbert “Butch”(Donna) Kelly Jr. of Fulton; sister Lorilee (Sigmund) Hanczyk of Fulton; eight grandchildren, Ryan Bolia of Minetto; Steven Kelly, Jeffery Kelly, Joshua Kelly and Anthony Kelly of Utah; Carrie Kelly and P.J. Kelly of Minetto; Cody Kelly of Florida; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
  He was predeceased by his wife, Cynthia (Reed) Kelly; a brother Howard Kelly and sisters, Helen Devendorf and Josephine Conn.

  MASON CITY - Bruce R. Hubbard, 38, of 606 1/2 E. State St. died Thursday (Feb. 24, 2000) at Methodist Hospital in Houston, texas.
  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pensylvania Ave., with the Rev. robert Towner of St. John's Episcopal Church and the Rev. Wayne Ryan of Rolling Acres Free Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
  Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 today at the funeral home and will continue until service time on Wednesday.
  Memorial may be given to the Bruce R. Hubbard Memorial Fund.
  Bruce was born on Oct 20, 1961, in Wessington Springs, S.D., the son of Harold and Betty-Jo (Taylor) Hubbard. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1980 and leter Hamilton business College.
  Bruce was an activist in the community, serving on the Mason City Zoning Board of Adjustment and the North Iowa Diversity Appreciation Team, and was chairman of the Mason City Committee for census 2000. He volunteered for many organizations including mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.
  Bruce married Judy Rickens on Feb 14, 1989. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family.
  Bruce is survived by his wife, Judy Hubbard of Mason City, his mother Betty-Jo Hubbard of Mason City; three sisters, Marbara Jean Mitts and husband, Paul of Newberg, Ore., Bonnie Jo Eckholt of Mason City and Beberly I. Dutcher and huusband Jeff, of Austin, Mich.; four step-children, Gene Elings of Mason City, Jeff Elings and wife Shasta, of Mason City, Heidi Elings of Mason City and Michael Holm and wife Amber, of Mason City; sixstep-grandchildren, Breanna, Kali, Joey, Kai, Dameon and Valerie; and his mother-in-law, Lois Rikins of Mason City.
  Bruce was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

  Married Sandra L. "Sandy" (Paske) Kuhn on June 27, 1976, in Machesney Park, Ill., Employed by Rockford School District for 20 years, retiring in 1995.
  Dick enjoyed camping, reading and baking. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan.
  Survivors include wife; four daughters, six sons; and numeroud grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

  Ocala - Mrs. Shari R. Panages, 68, passed away December 21, 2008. A native of Omaha., NE, she and her husband moved to Ocala in 1989 from there. Mrs. Panages was the widow of George T. Panages. They were married for forty one years before he preceded her in death June 29, 2006. Shari was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Candler, Fl.. She was a Companion member of the Intercessors of the Lamb in Omaha, NE. As an Intercessor, Shari devoted her life to sharing the knowledge of God's mercy and to intercessory prayer for others. Survivors include son. David Ofert and wife Catherine, Stillwater, MN, daughter-in-law Veronica Ofert, Crystal, MN, Granddaughters Rebecca Ofert Elisabeth Ofert and Anna Ofert of Crystal, and Stillwater, MN, cousin Marvin Brunner S. and wife Cynthia, Dolores, CO, Paul W. Ofert, Omaha, NE, Mother Nadine Brown and spiritual family of the Intercessors of the Lamb, Omaha, NE lifelong friend and mentor Sr. Mary Munch, RSJC, Atherton, CA and many loving and dear friends.   OCALA - George Thomas Panages, 84, a retired senior marketing director for News Corp.'s TV Guide, died Thursday, June 29, 2006, at Estelle's Hospice House. A native of Portland, Maine, he moved here from Omaha, Neb., in 1989. Mr. Panages was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was past president of the Dominican Order's Laity Chapter, for which he also held national leadership positions. He was involved with the Cursillo Movement and Charismatic Renewal and a member of the Full Gospel Business Men, the Lions Club and the Moose Lodge. He was an inventor and former co-owner of Wesco Music Co., Reader's World bookstores and Juke Box distribution company. Mr. Panages was also owner of the Fabulous Fifties Sock Hops company. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, having served as a Marine intelligence courier with the Fleet Marine Force Intelligence Administration. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Shari R. Panages, Ocala; son, David Ofert, Alexandria, Minn.; daughters, Dahron Fenley, Nixa, Mo., and Sheila Harris, Tulsa, Okla.; and six grandchildren.   Richard J. Brewer, 37, of 1007 Lincoln Ave., died Tuesday, December 29, 1981 at Faxton Hospital due to injuries received in an accident in the Village of Whitesboro.
  He was bom April 26,1944 in Utica, son of Gloria Draper Brewer and the late James Brewer. Richard was educated in Utica schools and on May 29. 1966 he was married to Grace Austin in Herkimer. He was employed with the Robert Burrows Trucking Collection Co and had served in the U S Army from 1961-1965.
  He is survived by his wife and mother; four daughters, Rhonda, Kathy, Gloria and Hope, all at home; two sons. Jimmy and Dale, at home; one sister, Mrs. John (Kathy) Mehaffy of Utica; one brother, Michael Brewer of Fla.; several nieces and nephews
  Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 o'clock from the Surridge & Jacobson Memorial Home, Inc., 2212 Genesee St., with the Rev. Dr. C. Glenn Mingledorff officiating.
