Kent E. Pellam Jr., 69, of Bella Vista AR, formerly from Rome, New York, passed away July 22, 2016 in Rogers, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theresa and Kent E. Pellam Sr. and one sister, Barbara Palmertree.
He attended Westernville Elementary in New York, and graduated from Rome Free Academy in Rome, New York in 1964. He graduated from St. Gregory College in Shawnee, OK, and then received his Bachelor of Science Business Administration (Management) degree in 1969, from Central State College in Edmond, Oklahoma.
After being in retail management for 30 years and retiring, he and his wife Linda, bought and managed a motel in Branson, Missouri for a number of years. He fully retired and moved to Bella Vista Arkansas in 2004. Kent volunteered at the Bella Vista Country Club Golf Association for several years. He loved spending time with family, and especially with his Grandchildren. Kent enjoyed golf, fishing, plus thoroughly enjoyed smoking cigars as his pastime.
He received an honorable medical discharge from the USAF in 1971.
He is survived by his wife Linda, of the home; son, Brian Pellam with grandchildren, Brooke, Briley, Bryson and Hunter, all of Lubbock Texas; his sister and brother-in-law, Lori & Robert David, Edmond Oklahoma, brother-in-law Jim Palmertree, Horn Lake Mississippi; his two stepsons, Jayson & Tammy DeLoach, of Centerton Arkansas, with granddaughter Gabriella, and Nic and Melinda DeLoach of Centerton, Arkansas, with grandchildren, Zac, Jade, Sage, and Maddyson ; many nieces and nephews as well as many loving extended family members.

Marriage Notes for Darrell Gene Hartley and Anne Marie Bourgeois

Miss Anne Marie Bourgeois, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bourgeois, Talcottville, became the bride of Darrell Hartley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arleigh Hartley of Lyons Falls on Saturday morning, June 30, at St. Martin's Catholic Church. Rev. Daniel Lyddy, past of the church, officiated.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a floor-length gown of white organza over taffeta. The full skirt was appliqued with roses and pearl centered daisies. The neckline featured a lace trimmed choker collar and her Alecon lace train accented with pearl centered daisies fell from the waistline. A white picture hat held her illusion veil which was appliqued with roses. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and red roses.
Christina Bourgeois was her sister's maid of honor. She wore a blue dotted swiss over taffeta empire waist gown. Her picture hat was edged with flowered lace and velvet streamers.
The bridesmaids were Sharon and Yvonne Hartley, sisters of the groom and Bernadette Bourgeois, sister of the bride. They were attired in gowns of pink dotted swiss over taffeta, similar to the maid of honor's, with matching picture hats. Their colonial bouquets were pink and blue pom poms in contrast to their gowns.
James Matula of Lowville, a friend of the groom, was the best man. Ushers were Douglas and Donald Bourgeois, brothers of the bride and Bruce Krug, Lyons Falls, cousin of the groom.
The bride's mother wore an aqua polyester knit floor length gown with chiffon sleeves, white accessories and corsage of yellow carnations.
The groom's mother wore a green and white rosewood print gown, white accessories and a corsage of pink carnations.
Following the wedding a reception was held on the lawn at the bride's home.
The bride is a 1971 graduate of South Lewis High School and is presently employed at Lally Manufacturing Co., Port Leyden.
The groom is a 1973 graduate of South Lewis and is working at Grant City, Lowville.
After a trip to Canada, they will reside in a mobile home on his parent's farm in Lyons Falls.
Pre-nuptial showrs were given by Mrs. Richard Krug, Sharon and Yvonne Hartley at the home of Mrs. Krug and by Christina and Irene Bourgeois at their home.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her sister, Mrs. Sharon Weber, Port Leyden, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Cathy Lehman, Lowville, sister of the groom, Miss Mary Bardo, Turin, and Mrs. Kim Jantzi, Lowville, friends of the bride.
James Virkler, the groom’s brother, was best man. Ushers were Makuch, Denmark, Mitch Marolf, Potsdam, both friends of the groom, and Darrell Hartley, Lyons Falls, brother of the bride.
Music was provided by Max Lenore Hurley and Soloists, Alton and Debbie Rocker.
After a reception at the Lowville Fire Hall, the couple left for a trip to the Lake George Area.
The bride graduated from South Lewis Central School and BOCES and is employed at the Lewis County General Hospital in the physical therapy department.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Lowville Academy and Central School and BOCES and is employed on his father’s farm.
