Agnes Plant

 - Obituary (Find A Grave)
  Agnes Ann Rood, 81, of Lincoln, formerly of Bay City, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Medilodge of Sterling. She was born June 6, 1935 to Frank and Mae (Craven) Plant in Lincoln, where she spent her childhood. She was a longtime resident of Bay City, and only recently returned to Lincoln. Agnes was a devoted homemaker, who loved baking, making ceramics, playing BINGO, watching game shows, and sharing funny stories. Most of all, she loved her family! She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed. Agnes is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, James Gassman; seven children: Penny (Randy) Skibinski, Robert (Tammy) Blair, Karen Blair, Diane Blair, Bridget (Ernie) Graham, Annette Blair, and Mark Blair; four stepchildren: Laura Pacholka, Bobbi Rood, Heather Vliet, and Cathy Ballard; 32 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln.

  Son of Leonard and Rachel Decker and husband of Dorothy (Diener) Decker.
  Garland Decker served in WWII with the First and Third Ranger Battalions and the First Special Service Force in the European Theater.
  Worked as a supervisor for General Motors Parts Division and after retirement was a volunteer Fireman in Leesburg, Florida for 18 years.
  Member of the Elks and the American Legion.
  Survived by daughter Linda and son David, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
  In July 2013, the Congressional Gold Medal was awarded, collectively, to the First Special Service Force in recognition of its superior service during World War II.
  On February 3, 2015 surviving FSSF Veterans were in Washington DC to accept this momentous recognition on behalf of their fellow Forcemen who could not be there.

Emma Jane Green

  Emma J. Beebe of Hale passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012 at 84 years of age.
  Emma loved bingo, she enjoyed crocheting, especially making dresses for her dolls and liked going to the casino.
  She is survived by her children, one son-in-law, and her sister, Gloria Jean. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren along with several nieces and special friends.
  Mrs. Beebe is preceded in death by two children, Gladys Pelton and Everett Beebe; and two son-in-laws, Herbert Thayer and Charles Hicks.
  She will be greatly missed by all her family, friends and bingo pals.
  Cremation has taken place and family services will be held. Arrangements were handled by the Hale Chapel of Buresh Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family in care of the funeral home.

  Guy N. Benn, Caro,p assed away on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at his residence with his family at his side, at the age of 79. He was born on Feb. 10, 1925 in Vassar, and spent most of his life in Tuscola County.
   Guy served in the United States Navy during WW II. On April 24, 1949 he married the former Ilene Webb in Vassar and they have enjoyed 55 years together. Guy worked as a foreman at United Plastics for 31 years. He was a life member of Theron W. Atwood American Legion Post #7 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Caro Post #4164.
   He is survived by his wife, Ilene Benn; three sons, one daughter and spouses, Guy and Chris Benn of Eagle, Gary and Nancy Benn of Caro, Gayl and Robert Bean of Sebewaing, Greg and Renae Benn of Caro; 16 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Milewski of Frankenmuth and Ethel Gault of Montrose; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Sarah Summerfield; two brothers, Robert Benn and Leon Chardon; and a grandson, Robert Bean.
   Funeral was held at Collon Funeral Home of Caro on Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. with Wes Raven, Chaplain, Theron W. Atwood American Legion Post #7 officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Vassar.
   Military honors were afforded at the funeral home by the American Legion and VFW Posts. Memorials may be made to the Benn Family Discretionary Fund.
