Attending the couple were Miss Elsie Peacock, sister of the groom, and Pvt. Marshall Ingleston. brother of the bride.
Peacock, recently discharged from the navy, is working his father's farm.- Arthur was brought to court in 1955 for abandonment of his family.

... Disposition was made of the action of the case of Arthur Peacock of Fulton, who was returned here from Florida a few days ago to answer an indictment charging him with abandonment of his family. Peacock pleaded guilty when arraigned last week. Today he faced Judge Stacy for sentence. Peaoock was given a term of not less than one year nor more than rwo years in Attica State Prison. The sentence was suspended and defendant placed on probation until his youngest child reaches the age of 17.

Miss Elsie Peacock, daughter of Mr and Mrs, Eugene Peacock of Bowens corners was married at Bowens corners Methodist Church. July 1st to William Davis of Marietta N Y. The Reverend A. Day Rich performed the ceremony. The bride was attended by Miss Beverly Peacock maid of honor, and Miss Barbara Peacock brides maid The flower girl, Miss Gladys Peacock, wore a gown which matched that of the bride; one of white nylon marquisette. The bridal gown's cathedral train was trimmed with Chantilly lace. The bride's attendants were gowned in blue and pink marquisette. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Norman Davis was best man and John Davis ushered, assisted by Arthur Peacock brother of the bride. Miss Barbara Stowell as soloist sang ' 0 Promise Me and Because'. Mrs. Wm. Butman organist, rendered several selections. Following a reception on the lawn at the home of the bride s parents the couple departed for Canada. They are now residing in Syracuse.

Barbara J. Cummins, 64, of 142 Wiltsieville Road, Hannibal, died Sunday at Crouse Hospital.
Born in Aurelius, she retired in 1994 after 15 years as a home aide at Oswego Hospital. She was a member of Bowens Corners United Methodist Church.
Her husband, Robert S. Sr., died in 1993.
Survivors: Two daughters, Christine A. Lastinger of Baldwinsville and Terry L. Davenport of Fulton; two sons, Robert S. Jr. of Hannibal and David S. of Stafford, Conn.; four sisters, Elsie Joslin of Fort Myers, Fla., and Beverly Rogers, Myrtle Baum and Gladys Guernsey, all of Fulton; six grandchildrenServices: Private. Robert S. Cummins Sr., 63, of Wiltsieville Road died Wednesday at Auburn Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Cummings was a life resident of Hannibal. He was a truck driver for four years with Swift Transportation Co., Auburn, and previously was the owner and operator from 1974 to 1990 of R.S. Cummins Trucking in Hannibal. He also owned and operated a dairy farm.
Mr. Cummings was a member of Hannibal United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara J.; two sons, Robert S. Jr. of Hannibal and David S. of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two daughters, Christine A. Lastinger of Baldwinsville and Terry L. Davenport of Fulton; two sisters, Joanne D. Robinson of North Syracuse and Joyce C. Howard of Fulton; a brother, Ronald L. of Georgia; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Foster Funral Home, the Rev. Robert R. Hooper officiating. Burial will be in Fairdale Cemetery.

HANNIBAL - White gladoli formed the setting for a very pretty wedding Saturday, Sept. 6, at 2 p.m. in the Bowens Corners Methodist church when Miss Barbara Jean Peacock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Peacock became the bride of Robert Stenley Cummins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cummins of Hannibal. The rev. Blatchley, pastor of the church officiated as a double ring ceremony.
Pre-nuptual music was renderd by Mrs. Harold Blanchard of Hannibal. Mrs. Carl Peacock sand "Because".
The bride given in marriage by her father, chose a gown of chantilly lace and skinner satin. The skirt of satin and lace formed a long cathedral train. Her finger-tip veil of French illusion net bordered with chantilly lace held in place by a tiara of seed pearls. She carried a cascade arrangement of white asters.
Miss Myrtle Peacock, sister of the bride acted as maid of honor. She wore a shrimp color gown of net over satin and carried a cascade bouquet of dark purple asters.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. William Davis, sister of the bride; Miss Beverly Peacock, twin sister of the bride, and miss Joanne Cummins, sister of the bridegroom. They wore gowns of net over satin in the new fall shades of pink, green and blue, respectively, with matching hats. Flowers were cascade arrangements of asters.
Jacqueline Peacock, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Her floor length gown was white sheer over pink satin and she carried a basket of mixed asters.
Ronald Cummins was his brother's best man. Ushers were John E. Howard, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Eugene Horn, a classmate of the bridegroom and Arthur Peacock, brother of the bride.
Mrs. Peacock, the bride's mother, wore a print dress with a corsage of pink asters, wheile Mrs. Cummins, mother of the bridegroom, wore a two-piece wine color dress with matching hat an a white aster corsage.
Following the ceremony a reception for 100 guests was held in the church parlor. The three-tiered wedding cake topped with a miniture bride and groom centered the table. Many beautiful and useful gifts were received by the young couple.
Prior to the marriage Mrs. Cumming was honored at showere given by Mrs. William Davis and Miss Helen Burden.
The new matron selected a dark purple suit with pink accessories and a carnellia corsage when the happy couple left on a honeymoon trip to Texas and the southern states.
Mrs. Cummins graduated from Fulton High School in 1951. Mr. Cummins is a graduate of Hannibal Central school and Morrisville Agricultural Tech. Institute class of '50 and is employed at the Sealrigh Corporation, Fulton.

Bernard C. Peacock, 22, of County Route 7, Hannibal R. D. 2, injured Thursday December 10 when he fell from the sixth floor of an office building under construction in Watertown, died Saturday, December 12 in Mercy Hospital.
Peacock and Thomas W. Albanese of Syracuse, were putting up hangers for decorative marble slabs when the scaffolding apparently tipped and the two plunged to the ground. Albanese was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
Mr. Peacock was born April 10, 1948 in Fulton, son of Eugene and Marjorie Smith Peacock. He was a member of Bowens Comers United Methodist Church. He was employed by Sal Masonry Contractors Inc. of Syracuse.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen Baker Peacock; a daughter, Judy Peacock, 3; his mother, Mrs. John Hodges of Fulton R. D. 3; five sisters, Mrs. Glenn Joslin of Fort Myers, Fla.; Mrs. William Rogers of Fulton R. D. 3; Mrs. Robert Cummings of Hannibal R. D. 3, Mrs. William Baum of Fulton R. D. 3, and Mrs. Gerald Guernsey of Fulton and a brother Arthur Peacock of Fort Myers, Fla.
Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Alanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 562 Lampson Road, Lysander, Rev. A. Leslie Potter, pastor of Bowens Corners United Methodist church officiating.

Katherine M. Raw son, 66, of 4 Barnes St., Phoenix, died Tuesday, April 6, at Crouse Hospital. Born in Clay, she graduated from Phoenix High School. She retired in 1997 after 10 years as a film processor at Qualex Corp., Liverpool. She was an election poll inspector in Phoenix.
Surviving are two daughters, Georgianne M. Walberger of Pennellville and Marilynn Gristwood of Phoenix; three sons, James and Larry, both of Phoenix, and Jerry of Pennellville; her mother, Jessie Eno of Phoenix; three sisters, Harriet Smiley and Marjorie Himes, both of Phoenix, and Stella Cleary of Lima, Livingston County; a brother, John Eno of Phoenix; 11 grandchildren, and two-great grandchildren. George F. Merrill, 61, of Clay died Friday at Crouse Hospital.
Born in Demster, he lived in Phoenix before moving to Syracuse in 1977.
He was an industrial electrician 29 years at New Process Gear.
He was an Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Sharpshooter Carbine Expert Rifle Medal. He was member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Mattydale, the United Auto Workers and the Wano Country Club in Minoa.
Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Catherine F.; his mother, Edith Merrill of Phoenix; two daughters, Grace Einhart of Central Square and Gina Kuhn of Jordan; four sons, Glen of Palermo, Greg of Phoenix, Gary of Auburn and Geoffrey of Georgia; a stepdaughter, Michelle Cary of Fulton; four stepsons, Lawrence Mossow of West Monroe, Edward Mossow of Weedsport, Dominick Mossow of Hastings and Kenneth Mossow of Clay; five sisters, Joan Dunham of Phoenix, Patricia Huff of Syracuse , Bonnie Czirr of Pennellville, Sherry Nurtz of Verona and Jeanette McArdle of Mallory; two brothers, Ronald of Dansville, Pa., and Michael of Kentucky; many grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Oswego County's second drowning this month occurred yesterday, bringing the total for the year to date up to six. Nine-year-old Richard McCarroll. Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard McCarroll of County Route 12, Mallory, drowned Friday afternoon at Mallory Pond after diving into shallow water from a bridge abutment. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The drowning occurred at 2 p. m., according to the Oswego County Sheriff's Department. They said the boy dived from the northwest abutment of a bridge off County Route 32 into about six feet of water and failed to resurface. Deputies said another boy, Stephen Bezner. 9. witnessed the young McCarroll jumping and when he failed to surface Bezner shouted for help.
Edward Taylor of Hastings, employed at a nearby lumber yard, heard young Bezner's call and ran to the pond, deputies said. When he learned what had happened, Taylor quickly jumped into the pond and searched the bottom until he recovered the boy's body.
Taylor recovered the body prior to the arrival of the Central Square Fire Department and the sheriffs department.
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene by Dr. Edward G. Murphy, who was appointed coroner's physician. First Asst. Dist. Atty., Eugene F. Sullivan, Jr., went to the scene, acted as coroner, and issued a verdict of accidental death due to drowning. He released the body to the Watson Funeral Home.
Investigating were Sgt. James McDermott, deputies Howard Palmer, head of the sheriff's navigation patrol, and Deputies Robert Hall and Rex McNitt.
There were seven drownings througout New York yesterday.
Richard, the oldest in a family of seven children, was a student at Centreal Square Central School and had reciently been advanced to the fifth grade.
Surviving besides his parents are two brothers, Robert and Patrick; four sisters, Misses Linda, Lori, Sandra and Elizabeth; his paternal grandparetns, Mr. and Mrs. Albert McCarroll of Irvington, N.J.; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Merrill of Phoenix; his maternal greatgrandmother, Mrs. Blanche Rawson of Mexico; several aunts and uncles.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Mallory Baptist Church, Rev. Erskine White officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Mallory.
Friends may call at the Watton Funeral Home in Central Square on Sunday and Monday evenings,, 7 to 9 p. m., only. Watson's said there would be no afternoon calling hours due to the fact that an uncle of Mrs. McCarroll has died and the family has two wakes at the same time

The Johnsons traveled to Florida, and will reside in Pennellville.
