Barbara and Tom Grover proudly announce the birth of their daughter, Tristyn Patricia Lee Grover who was born in Glens Falls Hospital at 2.48 a.m. on Jan. 31. Tristyn weighed in at 7 lbs. 7 oz. and 18 1/2 inches in length.

Miss Deanna Vosburgh. Utica, was guest of honor at a variety shower Saturday evening at the home of Mrs. Charles Smith, Walnut street, Canajoharie.
The home was decorated in a color scheme of yellow and turquoise witn a crepe paper covered umbrella suspended from the ceiling over the table for the many beautiful gifts for the bride-to-be.
Games were played with prizes given and a buffet supper was served.

Miss Vosburgh. daughter of Mrs. Mary Vosburgh, Utica, will be married Feb. 4 to James Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smith.

Miss Wemple is also the daughter of the late Barney Wemple. She attended Fonda Fultonville School.
Her fiance is stationed in Germany with the Army as a military policeman. He is a graduate of Stuggart High, Stuggart Germany.
He is the grandson of Mr Joseph D. Vosburgh of Remsen a former utica policeman, and Mrs Mary A. Reniero of Macedon NY.

CAMBRIDGE - Andrew John Gidley, of Cambridge, went into the arms of our Loving Father on Saturday, Sept. 9 2006.
Andy was predecesed by his parents, John and Mary Gidley.
He is survives by his loving and devoted wife, Paulette, and son , Nicholas Gidley, as well as his loving aunt, Eileen Vosburgh; brother and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
Andy was a member of St. Luke's episcopal Church, Cambridge, and a Warden of their Vestry. He was a lifetime member of S.W. Pitts Hose Company, Latham, and a member of the Sons of American Legion, Captain Maxon Post, Cambridge. Deputy Sheriff Gidley was disabled in the line of duty, employed by Washington County.
At the family's request, it was a private service and burial.

PETERSBURGH, N.Y. - RONAld G. Whitman, 59, of Route 346 died Saturday night at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.
Born on Nov. 21, 1949, he was the son of Ruth M. Voasburgh Whitman of Old Bennington, Vt., and the late R. Gerald Whitman. He was the loving husband of Karen J. Anderson Whitman whom he married in Stephentown on April 3, 1982.
He had been a resident of Petersburgh since 1988 and a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in North Pownal Vt.
A 1967 graduate of Keveney Memorial Academy in Cohoes, Ron attended Goddard Seminary in Barre, Vt., for two yewars.
He worked for Pease Farm in Stephentown and owned/operated his own farm in Hancock, Mass. Ron worked for Adirondack Beverages (formerly C&C cola) in Soctia as a mechanic. On June 18th of this year, he celebrated 30 years of employment with them. While living in Hancock, he was a member of the Hancock Volunteer Fire Department.
Besides his mother and wife, he leaves his two daughters, Mattie J, and Eliza J. Whitman of Petersburgh; siblings, Cheryl Whitman of colchester, Conn., Gary Whitman of Poultney, Vt., Timothy (Karen) Whitman of Hoosic, Rory (Karen) Whitman of Ft. Ann, and many nieces and nephews.
