Marriage Notes for William V Stringer and Colette Marie Feathers

Mr. and Mrs. Norman W. Feathers of Robinson Street have announced the engagement of their daughter, Colette Marie, to William V. Stringer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Stringer of Marcy. Miss Feathers, an alumna of Linton High School and Traphagen School of Fashion, is employed with R. B. Restaurant, Inc. Mr. Stringer was graduated from Whitesboro Central High School. He is a manager with the National Shoe Co. The wedding will be held on April 12.

St. Luke's Church was the setting April 12 for the wedding of Miss Colette M. Feathers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Feathers of Robinson Street, and William Vinel Stringer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Stringer of Marcy. The Rev. Owen F. Schanley performed the ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an A-line gown, of white crepe fashioned with a round neckline with a rolled collar, and long-puffed sleeves. Lace and scallops accented the front and back of the gown. She wore a pearl and crystal headpiece and carried a crescent bouquet-of white roses and carnations.
Mrs. Noreen Huhn was maid of honor for her sister and bridesmaids were Mrs. Karen Thompson, sister of the bride; Miss Debria Kerner, cousin of the bridegroom; and Miss Mary Lewinski, Miss Shirley Huhn and Miss Linda Huhn, nieces of the bride; were junior bridesmaids and Miss Lisa Haley, niece of the bridegroom was flower girl. Miss Hilary Thompson niece of the bride, carried the rings.
The maid of honor wore a white dotted Swiss blouse with a floor-length green A-line skirt and matching vest, and she carried a crescent bouquet of yellow roses, white carnations and ivy. The other attendants wore identical ensembles in aqua and pink and they carried bouquets of pink roses, burgundy carnations and ivy. The bride personally designed and made her own gown and all her attendants' ensembles.
David Jelenic was best man, and ushers were-Michael Shaw, Thomas Cartwright and Thomas Wade. A reception was held following the ceremony at the Elk's Lodge, 615 State St., after which the couple left on a wedding trip to the Pocono Mountains. They are residing at 54 Division St.

FULTON — Mrs. Marilyn Dashnau Woolworth, 53, of 352 W. Fourth St. died Tuesday at Lee Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Fulton to Curtis and Mildred (Sellman) Dashnau, she was a member of Holy Family Church.
Surviving are three sons, Ronald, Randy and Marty, all of Fulton; three brothers, Joseph and Wayne Dashnau, both of Fulton, and Donald Dashnau of Oswego, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday in Young & Son Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.

Dorothy R. Barber, 74, a life-resident of Altmar, died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse.
She attended Altmar Union School and married Allen Barber in 1946, he died in 1993. She was employed by APW school system as a bus driver and aid for 25 years.
Surviving are her companion, Clifton Pratt of Cicero; three daughters, Janet Chabot of Altmar, Donna Young of Ohio, Joann Mason of Fulton; four sons, Thomas of NC, David of Altmar, Larry of Richland, Lonnie of PA. Also survived by three brothers, Martin Trumble of Florida, Lloyd of Williamstown and Dale of Altmar; two sisters, Ethel Ponzo of Mattydale and Eula Mason of Fulton; 30 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Riverside Cemetery, Altmar. Calling hours will be held from 7 to 9 on Wednesday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski.

Martin "Jim" Trumble April 10, 2008 Betty I. Trumble November 21, 2008 Martin "Jim" Trumble, age 75, and Betty I. Trumble, age 74, both residents of Williamstown, passed away, in Florida on April 10, 2008, and November 21, 2008, respectively. Jim was born in Albion, and Betty in Williamstown. They resided in Williamstown until 1989 when they moved to Vero Beach, Florida.
Jim was employed by the Williamstown Highway Department for many years. He was also a mechanic for Lindsey Groves in Vero Beach for many years, retiring in 2006, and Betty was a homemaker.
Surviving: their two sons; two daughters; Jim's two brothers; his two sisters; Betty's three sisters; her brother; 17 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. They are predeceased by their daughters, Carol Anna MacWilliams and Sandra Lee Stelmashuck; Betty's sisters, Dorothy Irene Bodine and Maryanna Araggon; her brothers, Charles Sweatland, Alton Earl Sweatland, John Thomas Sweatland, and James Edwin Sweatland.
Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, June 10, at Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.

PULASKI — Debra Jean Trumble, two - month - old daughter of Lloyd and Kathy Mason Trumble, Altmar, was found dead in her crib by her mother about 8 this morning.
The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m., at the Foster funeral home, with Rev. Adelbert Edwards, pastor of Pine Meadows Wesleyan Methodist church, officiating. Spring burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Altmar.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Debra Jean was born Dec. 21, 1967 in Oswego General hospital. Among her survivors are a brother, James, and a sister, Brenda; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Trumble, Altmar, maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Mason, Oswego; |aunts and uncles.

Parents of the bride are Tom and Roxanne Ranieri of Volney. Parents of the groom are David and Eulia Mason of Fulton.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Carol A. Cook of Palermo, long-time friend of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Suzette R. Calkins of Baldwinsville, cousin of the bride; Michelle A. Mason of Fulton, sister of the groom; and Wendy M. Mason of Fulton, sister of the groom. Flower girl was Krista M. Williams of Volney, friend of the bride.
Best man was Edward C. Mason Sr. of Fulton, brother of the groom.
Groomsmen were Daniel J. Ranieri of Volney, brother of the bride; John W. Calkins of Baldwinsville, cousin of the bride, and Michael R. Ranieri of Volney, brother of the bride. Ring bearer was Edward C. Mason Jr. of Hannibal, nephew of the groom.
Following the ceremony the entire bridal party paid a surprise visit to Sunrise Nursing Home in Oswego to visit the groom's grandmother, Inez Soble, who could not attend the wedding because of an illness.
A reception followed at the Volney Fireman's Hall, Rte, 3, Volney.
The bride is a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School, and is employed as a certified nurse's aid at Loretto Heights nursing home in Oswego.
The groom works construction and remodeling.
The couple are planning a trip to Niagara Falls or the Poconos at a later date.
The couple resides in Fulton.

Marriage Notes for Jean Hubbard and Charles P DeLacey Jr

Malden Road Community Church in Mattydale was the setting for the June 29 wedding of Miss Jean Hubbard and Charles P. DeLacey, Jr. the Rev. Rudolph Grossman, pastor of the church, officiated. Rev. Mr. Grossman is a former pastor of the Fernwood Methodist church.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. Harold K. Hubbars of Fernwood. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Charels DeLacey of Black River and the late Mr. DeLacey.
The double ring ceremony was performed before an alter decorated with baskets of white gladioli and mums, and candelabra.
The bride entered on a white runner. Given in marriage by her father, whe wore a gown of chantilly lace, designed as a cage with a bateau neckline and tapered sleves. The bodice was decorated with seed pearls. The bouffant veil was attached to a matching cluster, also decorated with seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white baby orchids.
Miss Linda A. Hubbard, Puaski, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
Richard DeLacey of Virginia, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were John DeLacey of Liverpool, another brother, and Donald Hubbard of Fernwood, uncle of the bride.
A reception was held at the Elks Club in Syracuse immediately following the ceremony.
The bride graduated from Pulaski Academy and Central School and from the State University College at Oswego. She is on the faculty of Westhill School District, Syracuse. The bridegroom gradusted from Brownville - Glen Park Central School and is employed by the Post Office.
