Results of the autopsy performed yesterday on Mrs. Priscilla Lisco, 37, of Canajoharie RD 2, were still awaited this morning by the Montgomery County sheriff's department.
Her estranged husband, Leonard Lisco, 43, of Valley Brook, Fort Plain RD 3, is being held in Montgomery County Jail, Fonda, without bail, after he was charged Sunday with the fatal shooting of her at his home.
Lisco, arrested on a charge of murder, had turned himself in to the Fort plain police department immediately after the incident, and that department, in turn, notified the sheriff's office.
The 43-year-old allegedly shot his wife several times with a .22 calibre rifle, apparently during a family argument, the sheriff's department reported yesterday.
The autopsy was performed yesterday at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam.
She was born March 8, 1936, in Amsterdam, the daughter of Fred and Evelyn Dunckel Dean. She had resided in the Fort Plain area the last 14 years.
Mrs. Lisco was a graduate of State Agricultural and Technical College at Morrisville where she studied practical nursing. She also trained at the Cortland Hospital. She was a licensed practical nurse employed by Bassett Memorial Hospital, Cooperstown, then by the Palatine Nursing Home, Palatine Bridge, and last by the Canajoharie Nursing Home.
She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Fort Plain.
Survivors, besides her husband and her parents, who reside at Canajoharie RD 2, are four sons, Leonard C, Richard A., Larrv J. and Robert M. Lisco, and one daughter, Lorraine N. Lisco, all at home; her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Rose Dunckel of Fort Plain; her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Alida Martin of Nashville, Tenn.
Two brothers, Frederick H. Dean of Canajoharie RD and Thomas R. Dean of Henderson, Ky.; one sister, Mrs. Patricia R. Klock of East Herkimer, nieces, nephews and cousins.

 - Newspaper Article (Leader-Herald, Gloversville-Johnstown, NY, Wednesday, June 19, 1974)
FONDA - A verdict of innocent by reason of temporary insanity was returned last night by the jury in the murder trial of Leonard Lisco, 43, of the Town of Minden.
Lisco was accused in the rifle slaying of his wife, Priscilla, on Nov. 4.
But the defendant was ordered held for examination by the State Department of Mental Hygiene.
Montgomery County Judge James N. White said he was bound by state law to keep Lisco confined in the county jail. Lisco had previously admitted shooting his wife in their second floor bedroom.
Atty. George Abdella of Gloversville defended Lisco on the grounds that he did not know what he was doing when the shooting took place and did not understand the significance of the act.
He said he planned to make a motion before Judge White to have Lisco freed.
The jury deliberated for about five hours before returning a verdict. The nine men and three women on the jury began deliberation at about 2 in the afternoon.
At about 4:30 the jury asked that some of the defense psychiatrist's testimony be reread to them.
"I think justice was done and it was the right verdict." Abdella said, after the verdict was returned at about 7 last night.
Earlier in the day the jury heard testimony from two psychiatrists who said they felt Lisco was sane at the time of the murder.
Dr. Xavior Mastrianni of Saratoga Springs and Dr. Leonard Rockmoore of Delmar, each testified that they thought Lisco was sane.
Dr. Mastrianni said after examining Lisco in March that since Lisco was able to operate the rifle that killed his wife he was aware of the circumstances around him.
Lisco, while admitting that he shot his wife, testified that he could not remember grabbing the rifle or pulling the trigger.
Dr. Rockmoore, who also examined Lisco in March, described the defendant as a passive person and said he found no indication of mental illness.
Atty. Abdella said that the two psychiatrists called by the prosecution did not present effective evidence against the testimony of Dr. Emerick Friedman, a psychiatrist who had testified for the defense.

FONDA - Despite the fact that he has been cleared of a murder charge in connection with the shooting death of his wife on Nov. 4, Leonard Lisco, 43, of the Town of Minden, continues to reside in the Montgomery County Jail under order of County Judge James N. White.
Lisco was acquitted of the charge Tuesday by a jury which found he had been temporarily insane when he, by his own admission pulled the trigger 10 times, killing his wife.
In Court Thursday morning, Lisco's attorney, George Abdella of Gloversville, made a motion to free Lisco from jail where he was being held because, according to the judge, a person found innocent of a murder charge by virtue of temporary incapacity is required to be given to the state Mental Hygiene Department for examination and possible treatment.
  Judge White denied the motion.
