  ONEIDA-Norman A Griesmyer. of 421 Lenox Ave. died yesterday in Oneida City Hospital.
  He was employed by the Oneida Dispatch "Corp." During World War II he served with the Navy in the Pacific.
  He was born in Oneida and married Virginia "Cox in 1947.
  Mr. Griesmver was a member of St Patrick's Church. Oneida Post American Legion, the Owls Nest and the Moose.
  Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons. William and Peter Griesmyer. both at home; a daughter. Mrs. Edward (Linda) Aiken of Rochester and a sister, Mrs. Irving (Catherine) Wilson of West Eaton.
  Arrangements by the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home are incomplete.

  The bride, given in marriage by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Griesmyer, 421 Lenox Ave. Her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Aiken, Delmar.
  Attending the couple, were Miss Carol Aiken, the bridegroom's sister, and Ronald Bluett, Waltham, Mass.
  Following a reception in the Sherrill Legion Hall, the couple left, on a trip to New England. They will reside at 51 Haze1hurst Drive, Rochester.
  The new matron, an alumna of the State University College at Potsdam, plans to teach at the Warren Harding School of the Gates-Chili School System. The bridegroom was graduated from Clarkson College of Technology, and is now an engineer with Eastman Kodak, Rochester.

 VIENNA - Anne J. Dunn, 61, of LeMoyne Avenue, Syracuse, passed away Feb. 17, 2006, after a five-year battle with multiple myeloma at The Francis House, Syracuse.
   She was born Feb. 6, 1945, in Oneida, a daughter of Getman and Mary Jane Hobbie Clifford.
  She was a long time resident of the Vienna area, graduating from Camden High School in 1962, later moving to Baldwinsville and then Georgia, where she lived for 15 years before returning to the Syracuse area in 2001. She worked as a bartender and waitress for many years at several Central New York restaurants, including Eddie's Restaurant in Sylvan Beach and Foxfire, Hafner's, Jaspers' and Elwell's, in the Syracuse area. Ms. Dunn was a member of St. John's Church, its Altar-Rosary Society and the Oneida Lake Ice Breakers Snowmobile Club, Sylvan Beach. She enjoyed crafts, especially sewing and knitting.
  Surviving are her mother, Mary Jane Clifford, Blossvale; three daughters, Mary Dunn and Albert Blazey, Syracuse, Maureen and Greg Campbell, Sylvan Beach, Susan and Tony Sesso, Mexico, NY; a son, Peter Dunn, Cartersville, Ga.; four sisters, Helen Peebles, Durhamville, Donna and Jim Merriam, Boonville, Esther McConnell, Patty Clifford, Vienna; a brother Peter Clifford, Vienna; seven grandchildren, Heather and Brian Light, Jessica Johnston, Robert Michael Wright, Michael and Maggie Campbell, Anthony and Dominic Sesso and several nieces and nephews. Anne is also survived by her former husband, Michael Dunn, Largo, Fl.
   She was predeceased by her father, Getman Clifford, Nov. 21, 2003
  Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday from the LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden and 11 a.m. at St. John's Church, North Bay with interment in McConnellsville Cemetery.
   Calling hours will be held 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 109 Main St., Camden.

  CAMDEN—Miss Janice Lahue, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd L. Lahue, Taberg road, Camden, became the bride of Lawrence C. Peacock, son of Mr. and Mrs, Clinton Peacock. Blossvale on Sunday afternoon in Newport, N. Y. The Rev. Walter Suits, former McConnellsville pastor, performed the double ring ceremony in the parsonage of the Methodist Church.
  Attending the couple were Miss. Phyllis Peacock, sister of the groom; and Leslie Phelps.
  The bride was attired in an aqua suit with winter white accessories, and her maid of honor in a blue suit with red accessories. The couple will go in March on a two week trip to Florida. They are at home in their apartment at 105 W. Linden St., Rome.
  The new matron received her, R.N. from Faxton School of Nursing, and is employed at Rome City Hospital. Both are Graduates of Camden Central School. The bridegroom, a veteran of two years with the U. S. Navy, is a railway telegrapher, stationed at Sandy Creek.

   Joyce A. (Wilcox) (Loucks) G'sell, 92, of Umatilla, FL, and a former Clockville resident, died January 11, 2012, at the Cornerstone Hospice House, Tavares, FL, following a brief illness.
   She was born on March 2, 1919, in Canastota, the daughter of Herbert and Huldah Mott Morford.
  Joyce spent most of her life in the Clockville area, attending schools in Clockville and Canastota. She has lived in Florida since 1989.
   She was proud of the fact that she, her mother, and her mother's father shared a March 2nd birthday.
   Joyce was a former member of the Clockville United Methodist Church, and the Ladies Aid Society, and the Lincoln Volunteer Fire Department Women's Auxiliary, where she had served as President.
   She enjoyed making crafts, including plastic-canvas of which she made replicas of houses and buildings located in the Hamlet of Clockville. While in Florida, she learned the art of making baskets with pine needles, and taught classes on how to make them.
  Joyce was married to Donald W. "Tubby" Wilcox from 1940-1961; and after his death was married to Douglas A. Loucks, Sr. from 1962-1988. She later married Charles G'sell in 1997.
  Surviving besides her husband, Charles, are: a son and daughter-in-law, Rev. William and Tina Wilcox of Clockville; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and William Johnson of Umatilla, FL; a step-son and his wife, Douglas, Jr., and Jeanette Loucks of Wampsville; two step-daughters and their husbands, Bonnie and William Shaver, and Gail and Stanley Blowers, all of Canastota; a sister, Catherine Bellinger of Vernon; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; as well as a niece and a nephew. Joyce was predeceased by a great granddaughter.
   Graveside memorial services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012, for anyone who would like to attend, at the Lenox Rural Cemetery, Nelson Road, Canastota. Her son, Rev. William M. Wilcox, will officiate. At her request there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Arrangements are under the supervision of the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota.

  CANASTOTA - Donald (Tubby) Wilcox, 45, of nearby Clockville, died of a heart attack Wednesday afternoon while deer hunting near Piseco Lake.
  He was born Dec. 30, 1916, in Clockville, the son of William and Erma Kincaid Wilcox, and on June 19, 1940 he married the former Joyce Morford.
  Mr. Wilcox was employed by D. W. Winkleman Construction Co. of Syracuse, and the Clark Service Station in Canastota.
  He attended the Clockville Methodist Church, and was a member of the Clockville Odd Fellows, and the Lincoln Fire Department. He was also a member of the Madison County Firemen's Assn., and the Canastota conservation Club.
  He leaves his wife; his mother, Mrs. Erma Stanton, Clockville; a son, Willliam, at home; a daughter, Mrs. William Coulhart, Canastota: one grandaughter, Julia Coulhart, Canastota, and a brother, Lewis Wilcox also of Canastota.

  CLOCKVILLE — Douglas A. Loucks, 77, a resident of Timmerman Road, died Saturday at his home following a long illness.
  Mr. Loucks was born  in Cazenovia and had lived in the Clockville area most of his life. Prior to retirement in 1973, he had been a dairy farmer in the Clockville area for m o r ethan 25 years.
  Mr. Loucks was a member of the Clockville United Methodist Church.
   His first wife, Eileen (Goodfellow), died in 1961.
  He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Morford) Loucks; a son, Douglas A. Jr. of Wampsville; two daughters, Bonnie Shaver of Hannibal and Gail Blowers of Canastota; a stepson, William M. Wilcox of Clockville; a stepdaughter, Nancy Reynolds of Clockville; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; an aunt; and several nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Canastota.
  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Chittenango.
  Calling hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

William Francis Bellinger

  William F. Bellinger, age 83, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2008 after a long illness, at home, with his family by his side. He was born June 17, 1925, the third son of Frank and Marian (Flanagan) Bellinger, Sr., in Rome, NY.
   Mr. Bellinger graduated from the former Vernon High School in 1942. He was united in marriage to Catherine Morford of Verona on January 17, 1948 in the Verona Methodist Church, with the Rev. William Lord officiating.
   Bill served in World War II with the Army Air Corps. He was a graduate of the Aviation Cadet program Class of 43-J, winning his wings and the rank of Second Lieutenant, and was assigned to the 2nd Air Force. He was honorably discharged. At war’s end when his civilian life began, he held several different occupations; eventually becoming a printer with the Rome Daily Sentinel, a career that lasted 12 years. He started his own insurance agency, part time in 1955, and he eventually merged with two other agencies in 1960 to become a partner in the insurance firm known as Rowland, Bellinger & Comstock Agency, Inc. for many years in Rome. In 1970, he also became a founder of Dud-Will, Inc., a realty holding company.
   Bill retired from both firms in 1980 to accept an appointment as an Oneida County Legislator, a position he held for 12 years, 6 years as Chairman of the Board. His other civic endeavors included many years as a volunteer fireman in Westmoreland; 11 years as a member of the Westmoreland Central School Board, several years as board president; 12 years on the BOCES School Board 1st Supervisory District of Oneida, Madison and Herkimer Counties, 9 years as board president. He also served several years as a Fire District Commissioner for the Town of Westmoreland.
   Bill was a 55+ year member of the Clinton-Hampton Lodge #0347 F&AM in Westmoreland and was a life member of the Rome Elks Lodge. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge #2112 in Iverness, FL and was a 58 year member of the Henry P. Smith Post American Legion in Rome. Bill served as secretary to the Board of Governors of the former Rome Club for several years and was a former member of several insurance organizations. He was also a former member of the Rome Kiwanis Club. He was an active member of the Westmoreland Methodist Church for 55 years and though disabled later in life, he never lost interest in church or community affairs.
   He is survived by his wife of 60 years and two children and their spouses, daughter, Cathy (Bellinger) Ford and her husband, Blake of New Hartford; son, William H. and Charlene Bellinger of Westmoreland; five grandchildren, Allison and her husband, Andrew Allen, New Hartford, Ashley Ford and her fiancee, Matthew Wheeler of Charlotte, NC, Nicole Gable, William E. and Danielle of Panama City, FL; two great-grandchildren, Hunter Gable and Samson Allen; one sister, Norene Hughes of Melbourne, FL. He was predeceased by his parents and three brothers, Frank, Charles and Donald.
   The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Luke’s Hospital, the gals at Rome Dialysis Unit and Hospice & Palliative Care.
   Funeral services will be held at the Westmoreland United Methodist Church, Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment in Rathbunville Cemetery. Friends may call at Strong and Burns Funeral Home, 401 N. George St., Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Masonic services will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations in Bill’s name may be made to the Memorial Committee of Westmoreland United Methodist Church or to a charity of your choice.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gray striped suit matching the bridegroom's suit, with winter white and wine accessories and a corsage of red roses. Mrs. Wilcox wore an aqua dress, brown accessories, and a corsage of yellow roses.
  A reception was held at the home of the bride. After a trip to Schenectady and New York City, they will live temporarily in Verona.

  CALEDONIA - Linda Carol DeMersman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard DeMersman, 3050 W. Main St., became the bride, Saturday, (May 12,1979), of Leonard A. Mott. Mr. Mott is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mott Jr., 56 Pine St., Portville.
   The ceremony, which took place at the First Presbyterian Church, here, was officiated by the Rev. Carl vom Eigen. Music was provided by Mrs. Jean Sweet, organist, and by Miss Mary Cripps and John Herkimer who offered a vocal and guitar solo, respectively.
   Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a traditional style gown with bouffant layered skirt of organza trimmed with embroidered chantilly lace. She carried a double bouquet of white roses arranged on a prayerbook belonging to her mother.
   Maid of honor for the ceremony was Miss Melanie Harbeck of Black Creek who was dressed in a yellow polyester crepe gown featuring a matching capelet. She carried a long-stem, yellow rose accented with a blue ribbon.
   Wearing blue polyester crepe gowns with matching floral capelets and carrying long-stem yellow roses with yellow ribbons, were the bridesmaids, Lori DeMersman of Caledonia, sister of the bride; Carol French, Savona and Kathi Fotch, Caledonia.
   Junior bridesmaids were Lisa DeMersman, Caledonia, sister of the bride and Andrea Mott. Portville, sister of the groom.
   Serving as best man for the ceremony was Bruce Nothem of Portville: while ushers included Charles Mott III and Daniel Mott, both of Allegany; Frederick Mott and Timothy Mott of Portville All are brothers of the groom. Also seating guests was James DeMersman, Caledonia, brother of the bride.
   A reception honored the couple at the Masonic Temple Building in Caledonia.
   The couple are residing at 134 S. Main St., Portville. N.Y., 14770.
   The bride attended Caledonia-Mumford Central School and Houghton College.
   Her husband attended Portville Central School and served six years with the Navy. He is employed as an electronices salesman.

  Portville Man Is Killed At Fireworks Show
  BUTTE, MONT. --- A 28-year-old Portville man, Frederick A. Mott, a pyrotechnician for Zambellie Fireworks company of Reading, Pa., was killed while putting on a fireworks display in Butte Thursday.
  It was reported the accident occurred when Mr. Mott approached a mortar used to propel the fireworks to check into why the shell had not fired. As he neared the firework, it combusted, striking Mr. Mott.
  A lifelong resident of Portville, Mr. Mott who was born July 15, 1952 in Olean, was a son of Charles and Beatrice Loomis Mott, 56 Pine St., Portville.
  He was graduated from Portville Central School and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He attended Portville United Methodist Church.
  Surviving besides his parents, are four brothers, Charles Mott III of Allegany, Leonard Mott of Mt. Laurel, N.J., and David Mott and Timothy Mott, both of Portville; three sisters, Mrs. Dale (Bonnilyn) Palmer of Rochester; Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Green of Portville and Miss Andrea Mott of Portville; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Charles Mott of Oneida; and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Clara Loomis of Higginsville.
  Funeral arrangements under the direction of Guenther Funeral Home, Portville, are incomplete and will be announced.

  PORTVILLE --- Forrest Geoffrey Mott, 5-year-old son of Merton and Erika Schiemann Mott of 56 Pine St., died this morning (Oct. 27, 1969) at his home after a brief illness. He was born in San Francisco, Calif., May 14, 1964.
  He attended kindergarten in Portville Central School.
  In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Andrea Mott, at home; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Grace B. Mott of Oneida.
  Friends may call tonight at the Guenther Funeral Home, Portville, from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted there Tuesday (Oct. 28, 1969) at 2 p.m. The Rev. William Pettibon, pastor of the Portville United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville.
