  Mr. and Mrs. Harold G. Estes are maternal grandparents, and Mr. and Mrs. Shermon Case, paternal grandparents.

  Albert J. Gorrow, 84, formerly of Ogdensburg, died Tuesday at Genesis Indian River Elder Care Center, West Melbourne, Fla.
  Born July 4, 1914, son Fred and Charlotte Walker Gorrow, he was a mechanic at Ray Geary Garage, before becoming a business owner.
  He married Geraldine Farmer, Nov. 22, 1939, at Notre Dame Church with the Rev. Leon Legault, officiating. Mrs. Gorrow died before him.
  Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Barbara) Bolster, Suntree, Fla., and Mrs. Paul (Anne) Graveline, Melbourne Beach, Fla.; a son, Thomas Gorrow, Chazy, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
  Services are private. The body will be cremated, and burial will be in Fountainhead Memorial Park Cemetery, Palm Bay, Fla.
  There were no calling hours. Arrangements were with Fountainhead Memorial Funeral Home, Palm Bay.
  Memorial donations may be made to Health First Hospice, 1900 Dairy Road, West Melbourne, Fla. 32904.

 - Wedding Announcement (The Otsego Farmer, Cooperstown, NY, Friday, August 12, 1955)
  In St. John's Episcopal Church Saturday at 1 p. m. Miss Jean Christabelle Joslyn and William C. Hrynda of Kansas City, Mo., were married by the Rev. Daniel T. Hill in a double ring ceremony.
  The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reginald G. Joslyn of 69 James St. Her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hrynda of Richfield Springs, RD.
  Bouquets of white gladioli decorated the altar, with pink and lavendar gladioli at the approaches and in the chancel. Mrs. Andrew G. Currie was organist and Miss Suzanne Ford of West Winfield was soloist.
   Escorted by her father the bride wore a waltz length white gown of Alencon lace over bridal satin with long torso of simple elegant lines. The fingertip veil was attached to an Alencon lace petal cap and she carried a cascading bouquet of pink sweetheart roses.
  Miss Evelyn M. Dutton of East Orange, N. J., cousin of the bride was maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Ann Hrynda, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Barbara Joslyn, aunt of the bride. Miss Dutton, who designed and made all of the gowns in the bridal party wore a gown of nile green antique taffeta styled like that of the bride and carried a cascade bouquet of white gladioli with nile green ribbon streamers. Similar gowns were worn by the bridesmaids in soft shades of pink and lavendar. They carried cascade bouquets of white gladioli.
  The mother of the bride was attired in a charcoal lace gown while the mother of the bridegroom wore a blue lace gown. Each wore corsages of pink roses.
  Steve Hrynda was best man for his brother. Ushers were Frank Madaras and John Sadlon, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, who also served as master of ceremonies.
  Wedding receptions were held at 2 p. m. at the Fireplace Restaurant and at 7:30 p. m. at the Mill Stone Inn.
  The bride is a graduate of the Richfield Springs Central School and for the past four years worked in the local telephone office.
  The bridegroom is a graduate of the Richfield Springs Central School, Deforest Technical Institute in Chicago, and University College, Syracuse. He served 18 months in the U. S. Navy and ror three years was in Germany with the U. S. Army and is employed by the General Electric Company in Kansas City.
   For her going-away dress the bride wore a navy blue French voile with white hat and accessories with a yelIow rose corsage. After a wedding trip to Ozarke, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Hrynda will be at home at 4125 Paceo Blvd. Kansas City, Mo.

 - Osbert de Hawking, in the reign of Henry II, was an ancestor of Andrew Hawkins of Nash Court, near Fabersham, Kent, in the reign of Edward III. (He had married Joan de Nash, heiress).

 - In Edward III's reign, the King of Navarre declared war against France. He collected men to fight, including 300 men under the command of Rabigois of Derry, Franklyn, and Hawkins, in 1358.

  NEWPORT - Miss Sara Winifred Hawkins became the bride of Wayne Alan Getman ae 11 yesterday in the Newport Methodist  Church. The Rev. Russell E. Little performed the double ring ceremony, with Mrs. Dorothy Munn as the organist.
  The bride who was married on her grandmother's birthday, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Myron C. Hawkins, this village. Mr. Getman is the son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Richard Getman, RD 2, Richfield Springs.
  Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Miss Melda M. Brandt, Wilmington, Del., Miss Charlotte Hawkins, the bride's sister, served as bridesmaid with Miss Marcia Getman, Richfield Springs, the bridegroom's sister. Mis Mary Beth Getman, another sister, attended as a junior maid.
  Glenn Armstorng, Richfield Springs, was best man. Ushers were Terrence Kloss, Saratoga Springs, and John Brykailo, Mohawk. Master Mark Ouimette, the bride's cousin, served as page.
  Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Masonic Temple, this village. after a trip to Canada and Expe 67, the newlyweds will make their home at RD 2 Richfield Springs.
  The new Mrs. Getman recieved her bacelor of arts degree from Vassar College and taught in the Utica School System. She is now working toward her master's degree in school psychology at Syracuse University.
  Mr. Getman served three years in the Army and is currently a student at the State University - Agricultural and Technical Institue at Cobleskill. He is also engaged in farming.

  William L. Smith; Victim of DeWitt Motorcycle Crash
  Services for William L. Smith, 49, of 183 W. Matson Ave., who was pronounced dead Sunday at the scene of a motorcycle accident in DeWitt, will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bagozzi Twins Funeral Home, Solvay. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Ave. A native of Pennsylvania, Mr. Smith resided most of his life in the Syracuse area. He was employed with Carrier Corp. Mr. Smith was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving are two sons, Darin S. of Van Buren and Jamie E. of Liverpool; his stepmother, Bernice Smith of Warners; three brothers, Lawrence of Syracuse, Dennis of Warners and Daniel of Van Buren; two sisters, Mary Jane Nutting of Syracuse and Frieda Ecelberger of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.
