  Mary Lou's life began on October 2, 1934, the daughter of Robert Chalmer and Gladys Elizabeth (Whigham) Manes in Villisca, Iowa. She graduated from Elmo High Class of 1952 in Elmo, Missouri and attended the University of Iowa. She married Charles Leonard Spencer on January 11, 1958 in Miami, Oklahoma. Mary Lou worked at St. Francis and St. Joseph Hospitals in Wichita as a hematology medical technician for 55 years. She was a member of Hope Christian Church in Wichita. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She loved NASCAR, collecting dolls and sewing doll clothes.
  Her loving family includes her sons, 8 grandchildren.
  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles in 1990; sisters, Maxown Bates and Mona Lea Manes. Mary Lou passed away peacefully into her Savior's arms on Friday, January 21, 2022 at the age of 87 years old.
  Her family will gather to greet friends on Wednesday, January 26, from 5-7 p.m. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 27, at 10:30 a.m. both at Lamb Funeral Home, 120 S. Main, Whitewater, Kansas. Interment will follow at Bruno Township Cemetery in Andover.

  Charles L. Spencer Sr., 58 formerly of Evansville, died Wednesday morning at his home in Wichita, Kan.
  Surviving are his wife Mary Lou; three sons, Charles Jr., Roger and Robbie, all of Wichita; two sisters, Gladys M. Stiles of Evansville and Anna B. Young of Decatur Ill.; two brothers Francis and Donald both of Evansville; and several nieces and nephews.
  Services will be at 11am Monday at Faith Baptist Church in Andover, Kan., with burial in Andover Cemetery.
  Friends may call all day today Saturday and Sunday at Dunford Funeral Home in Augusta, Kan.

  Robert Charles Whigham was born on November 28, 1937, to Charles Richard and Nancy (Borthwick) Whigham. He was raised on a farm in rural Blanchard, IA, and graduated from Amity High School in College Springs, IA, in 1956. On May 19, 1956, he was married to Janet Elaine Nothwehr and remained married for 64 years. To this union four children were born: Gary Robert, Gregory Lee, Phillip Brian, and Linda Ann.
  Bob lived and farmed in Page County Iowa his entire life. He was a leader in every aspect. He served on various church boards, school boards, co-op boards, and agricultural committees. Farming and being a good steward of the land were very important to him, but the main focus of his life was his faith and family. Bob was a lifelong member of College Springs Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir, served as an elder, led youth groups and taught Sunday school. He loved working with youth and attending every possible activity of each child, grandchild, and great grandchild.
  On March 1, 2019, Bob and Janet moved to an assisted living center in Red Oak, Iowa, where they made many new friends and enjoyed a more relaxing lifestyle. Bob had a strong work ethic, but was best known for his playful demeanor and fun loving attitude. He could talk for hours to anyone and everyone.
  Preceding him in death were his parents Charles and Nancy Whigham, son Gary Whigham, brothers Ron Whigham and Neal Whigham, and in-laws Arnold and Violet Nothwehr. Left to cherish his memory are wife Janet Whigham; children Greg (Lisa) Whigham of Red Oak Iowa, Phillip (Susann) Whigham of Colorado Springs Colorado, and Linda (Bill) Judd of St. Peters Missouri; grandchildren Erick (Sarah) Whigham, Ehren (Danielle) Whigham, Andrew (Brittany) Whigham, Alex (Christine) Whigham, Kristin Judd, Jennifer Judd, and Ryan (Jamie) Judd; 11 great-grandchildren Asher, Brynn, Jonah, Iver, Gabe, Grace, Este, Greyson, Ellie, Sloane, and Anders; siblings Cheryl (Don) Esmond, Lyle (Kristy) Whigham; sister-in-law Shirley (Don) Christensen; and many other family and friends.

  Whigham, Teri Delores 12/15/38 - 4/23/17
   Resident of Citrus Heights - Teri Whigham was 78 when she passed away in her home on April 23rd. She had a loving heart and will be deeply missed. Teri was born and raised in San Francisco by her parents Pat and Al Maccari. After high school, she worked at Graybar Electric Company until she was married. She moved to Fremont in the mid 70’s to raise her family. In the late 90’s Teri moved to Sacramento. She has lived in Citrus Heights for the last 15 years. Teri enjoyed dancing, cruising, gambling at the casinos, garage sales, visits with family and friends, watching TV, good food, and her cigarettes. Teri’s legacy lives on in the family she cherished: Karen and Rich Cassano of Fremont, Kevin and Janet Whigham of Elk Grove, grandchildren Kyle, Tyler, Hanna, and Tara. A Celebration of Teri’s Life will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 5:30 p.m., in the Clubhouse at Oak Grove Estates, Citrus Heights.

Harold Edwin Wallace Jr

  Today we celebrate the life of our father, grandfather, great-grandfather, coach, mentor and friend, Harold Edwin "Bud" Wallace. Bud passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at his home near Flathead Lake while getting his flower garden planted.
  Bud was born March 9, 1932, in Honolulu, Territory Hawaii, to Harold Edwin Wallace, Sr. and Louise Lisette Tschantz-Hahn, spending his youth in Hawaii and Northern California where he earned his Eagle rank in the Boy Scouts. Bud graduated from Vallejo High School and after completing his military service in the U.S. Army, attended the University of Montana.
  Bud met Nancy Ann Jackson in high school after Bud winked at her in the hallway. With Nancy's return wink, their life began. On April 27, 1953, Bud married Nancy Ann in Reno, Nev., and they moved to Missoula to begin their 49 years of marriage. The Wallace family eventually grew to 12 children, 34 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Along the way, Bud and Nancy built warm and loving family homes in Missoula, Hamilton, Polson and in Medford, Ore.
  Bud was an avid and successful athlete throughout his life. He was a champion swimmer and diver, played football, basketball and was an expert marksman. Bud transformed his passion for sports into his true professional interest in life revolving around teaching and coaching; particularly swimming and basketball. Bud's coaching efforts spanned many years across several states and included many successful teams in grade schools, high schools, the University of Montana, and the Phoenix (Arizona) Country Club.
  In addition, Bud worked in the sporting goods industry with Bob Ward and Sons Sporting Goods in Missoula, and later in his own sporting goods store in Hamilton, The Elegant Elk. He was a certified scuba diving instructor and was instrumental in developing the dive program for Missoula County Search and Rescue. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, taking care of his home, and spending time with Nancy and his loving family.
  Bud was conservative and very active in Republican politics at both the local and national levels, including a run for the U.S. Senate in 1970, where he earned the endorsement and respect of President Richard M. Nixon. He also served as a lobbyist for numerous conservative causes though out the years.
  Bud was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nancy Ann and his son, Timothy Edwin Wallace. He is survived by the following children: Carol Warbelow (Caitlin, Rachel, Kylin, and Taija) of Fairbanks, Alaska; Tim's children, Jessica and Nate Dolan; Timothy Wallace, Jr. of Missoula; Michelle Lorentz of Minneapolis, Minn.; Michael and Takako Grimm of Clarkston, Wash.; Sheri Wallace and friend Tom Crosetti of Mesa, Ariz.; Donald and Gloria Wallace (Chris and Candyce) of Salt Lake City, Utah; Scott and Lana Wallace of Cathlamet, Wash.; Rick and Kelly Wallace (Zachariah, Katie, and Elijah) of Vancouver, Wash.; Brock and Denise Wallace (Lacie, Brock, Linzie, and Branson) of Monmouth, Ore.; Craig and Allison Wallace (CJ) of Riverton, Utah; Heidi Wallace (Madelyn, Meredyth, Morganne, Cortlend and Magyn) of Lake Stevens, Wash.; Amy and Chris Hall (Taylir, Reed, Tristin, and Ren) of Medford, Ore.; Jenny Wallace and Kathee Brubaker (Kayla, McKenzie, Jared, Lexia, and Jacob) of Lake Stevens, Wash.; Julie and Kevin Coffman (Louise, Kayden, and Kyle) of Kent, Wash., as well as several cousins and many friends.
  Visitation will be Friday, June 1 from 1- 5 p.m. Funeral service will be held on at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment will follow the service at the Lake View Cemetery.
  Dad, thanks for all you've given to us throughout your life. We will miss the passion of your beliefs, your unending love and commitment to the family, and your eternal faith in each and every one of us. We love you and miss you.

  KILMER RICHARD, L., 58, passed away on March 11, 1999, after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Hutchinson, KS, he was raised in Hialeah, FL and graduated from Hialeah Senior High School. Mr. Kilmer completed his undergraduate studies at Louisana State University in Music Education and received his Masters Degree in Music from the University of Florida, and certification in Administration and Supervision from the University of Miami. His teaching career began in 1966, as the Band Director at Carver Middle and continued at South Miami Middle School. He also served as assistant principal at South Miami Middle, Arvida Middle and principal of Palmetto. At the time of his death, he was the principal of Bent Tree Elementary School. Dick was a devoted and loving husband, father, and son, and will be sadly missed by the many friends, teachers and students whose lives he has touched.
  Survivors include his beloved wife of 15 years Brenda, former wife Anita, daughter Lauren, son Adam, parents Dorothy and John Perkins, sister Linda Levin (Gene) and nephew Cory Levin, all of Miami, FL. as well as a host of other caring members of his family and friends. Because of his affinity and love for cats, including his own cat Sasha, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Cat Network, Inc. (305) 255-3482 or Adopt-a-Pet (305) 257-2275.   She was an RN for University Hospital, and prior to that she was a Pathologist Assistant for Marion County. She was a graduate of I.U.P.U.I. She was also an avid contributor to Humane Societies and welfare for animals.
  She is survived by her husband, Tom Ubelhour; sons, Matthew and Kristian Mahan; daughter, Stacy Jeffries; brothers, Richard Breed, Ron and Kevin Kilmer; grandchildren, Jasman, Olivia, Lauryn, Meghan and Alison Jeffries.

  Sloansville (Schoharie County): John H. Fero 87, formerly of State Rte.#162 passed away Saturday, October 31st at the Hudson Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Albany where he had briefly resided.
  Mr. Fero was born February 8, 1933 in Carlisle, NY a son of Maurice and Verna (LaRowe) Fero. He graduated from Schoharie High School, class of 1950 and later, graduated Cornell University in 1952. He was the third generation operator of the Ayr-Ro Farm in Sloansville which he operated until 1987 when he retired. He and his wife traveled extensively including cruises around the world. They also enjoyed their retirement home in Micco, Florida where he also was proud of his vegetable garden.
  He married Elaine Lillian (Metzger) Fero on May 22, 1954. She predeceased him on December 5, 2006. Survivors include their children, Kenneth J. (Diane) Fero of Delanson, Roy A. (Darcy) Fero of Niskayuna, and Deanne "Dee" (David) Grass of Sloansville, 5 grandchildren; Sarah (Bruce) Easly, Christopher Goodrich, Caroline Browne, Hannah Grass and John Grass, 2 great-grandchildren; Dale Goodrich and Cassie Easly along with one nephew and one niece. He also leaves behind his companion of 10 years, Gunhild Unnever of Micco, Florida. John was predeceased by his brother Gerald Fero and his sister Lois Rossman.

  "Sloansville (Schoharie County): Mrs. Elaine Lillian Fero, 71, formerly of Sloansville, died Tuesday, December 5th in Palm Bay, Florida after a brief illness. Elaine was born May 31, 1935 in NYC, NY a daughter of Edmund and Lillian (Kohler) Metzger. She had lived in Sloansville before moving to the Palm Bay, Florida area in 1988. She graduated from Schoharie High School in1954. She assisted her husband in their dairy farm operation on Route 162 in Sloansville for many years before a fire destroyed the farm in 1987. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and visited every state except Hawaii. Survivors include: her husband, John H. Fero, whom she married May 22, 1954. 3 Children: Kenneth J. (Diane) Fero and their daughter Sarah, of Delanson. Roy A. (Fiancé' Darcy Hudson) Fero and 2 children Christopher Goodrich and Caroline Browne, of Schenectady, and Deanne (David) Grass and their children Hannah and John, of Sloansville. She was predeceased by one sister, Carol Metzger in 1985, her father, Edmund in 1987 and her mother, Lillian in 1979.

  The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice T. Fero of Esperance, N.Y. Mr. and Mrs. John J. Walsh of Maltby Street are parents of the bridegroom.
   Mrs. Donald O. Easterly was matron of honor and Anthony Taroni was best man.


John Ronald Rossman

  John Ronald Rossman, age 81, of Johnstown, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at River Ridge Living Center, Amsterdam.
  He was born on December 30, 1932 in Amsterdam, the son of the late Floyd Rossman and Margaret Sullivan Rossman.
  John was a graduate of St. Mary’s Institute, Amsterdam and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He served in the apprenticeship program with General Electric where he worked for over 44 years until retiring as a Systems Analyst. Mr. Rossman also worked for Noble Ace Hardware of Johnstown, Adirondack Tire in Schenectady and Brown’s Ford, Johnstown in his retirement years. John was a longtime member of the former First United Methodist Church of Johnstown. He was a Cub Master, Assistant Scout Master and Assistant District Commander of Troop #104, Johnstown. As an avid aviator, he owned the FULCO airport and was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and a member and past Squadron Commander of the Civil Air Patrol. Mr. Rossman was a F.A.A. Certified Aviation Ground School, Flight Instructor and Safety Counselor. He was also a member of the Greater Johnstown School Board.
  Mr. Rossman is survived by one son Daniel J. Rossman and his wife Sarah of Cambridge, Massachusetts, one daughter Laura E. Yucha and her husband Steve of Johnstown, one grandson Ian Yucha, longtime companion Ellen Lyons of Schenectady and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Lois Fero Rossman who he married on November 14, 1970 and she passed on July 17, 1989.
  Funeral Services were conducted on Monday, November 24 at the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home, 1 N. Melcher Street, Johnstown with Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.
  Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Amsterdam.
