Miss Linda Miles, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Miles, became the bride of John Christman, son of Mrs. Darlene Christman and the late Mr. Christman, Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the Oppenheim United Methodist Chirch. The Rev. Glenn C. Poppleton performed theceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Attendants were her sister, Mrs. Clyde (Doris) Smith, and Roger Christman, brother of
the bridegroom.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride The couple is residing temporarily with Mrs. Darlene Christman, Oppenheim .

Shirley Armitage, 77 of 100 W. Main St, Ilion, passed away on Thursday January 20, 2005 at Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown, NY. She was born October 3, 1927 in little Falls, NY the daughter of the late Henry & Tressa (Argasinger) Brigeman and was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School. Shirley was last employed at Burgundy Basin Inn, Rochester, NY. Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie McKenzie and husband Arthur of San Antonio, Texas. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday June 1, 2005 at 11:00 am at Fical Cemetery, Town of Ephratah, NY. Arrangements are by the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St, St. Johnsville, NY.

Amsterdam has grown a little smaller with the passing Friday of Audie Richardson.
Born in Amsterdam on Aug. 18, 1938, he was the son of Austin and Dorothy Miles Richardson and lived in Amsterdam most of his life.
A caring and loving family member, Audie will be most notably remembered as the owner and driver of Midtown Taxi Inc. and as a popular musician in the 1960s. He played guitar and sang lead vocals for local bands including the Swinging Troubadours. His personal style and friendly good-natured appear helped his success in both endeavors.
Audie will be rejoining his wife Linda in eternal rest.
His loving family includes three sons, Jeff (Wendy) Richardson of Orange Park, Fla., Steven L. Richardson of Amsterdam and Robert (Tammy) Richardson of Hagaman; three daughters, Jill Audette Richardson of Johnstown, Suzanne M. Richardson of Fultonville and Leah Richardson and her fiancee, Joe Vitalis, of Perth; two brothers, Abram Richardson of Amsterdam and William Miles of Schenectady; three sisters, Grace Wells of Amsterdam, also Mary Jane and Irene; 15 grandchildren; nieces; nephews and cousins.
Services are Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home Inc., 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, with the Rev. Christopher J. DeGraaf officiating. Interment is in Fairview Cemetery.
Calling hours are Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Amsterdam Riverfront Cancer Center.

The bride chose lace and tulle for her floor-length gown. She carried white roses on a Bible.
Miss Doris Young of Clyde was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Joan Ingersol of South Bayton and Miss Fay Kellogg of Rose.
Best man was Richard Durham of Kenmore. Ushers were Leonard Humbert of Clyde and Stanley Durham of North Rose.

Miss Grace Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Amon Young, Johnstown RD 2, and Donnald Bevington, son of Mrs. Nellie Bevington, 124 East Clinton Street, were united in marriage Saturday evening at 7:30 in the parsonage of the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert W. Sampson officiated. Attendants at the double ring ceremony were the bride's parents.
The bride wore a gray suit with white accessories, and a corsage of red roses. Her mother wore a brown gabardine suit, while the bridegroom's mother had on a black Jersey suit.
Guests were from this city, Gloversville, Broadalbin and Boston, Mass.
The bridegroom is a clerk at the Johnstown postoffice.
After a short wedding trip, the couple will reside at 124 East Clinton Street

Miss Patricia Ann Eads, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Armel M. Eads of Fultonville and Paul
Lansing Case, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Case of Johnstown were married Saturday afternoon in the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Fultonville.
Rev. Donald Myers, pastor of the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Fox Hill, performed the 1 p.m. ceremony Saturday. The churclh was decorated with palms and baskets of white gladioli.
Miss Wanda Marie Fay of Albany was organist. Rev. Frederick McCulley of Amsterdam
was soloist.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of chantilly lace and nylon tulle over net and satin fashioned with a bouffant skirt appliqued with lace and embroidered edge. Her cap, of chantilly lace trimmed with seed pearls, held in place a fingertip veil trimmed with lace. She caried a bible covered with an orchid and lilly of the valley.
Mrs. Linda Lamb of Frankfurt, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She chose a dress of lavender nylon chiffon over taffeta and matching head piece. Her colonial bouquet was of white carnations and yellow mums.
Miss Margie Hallenbeck of Altamont and Miss Juanita Case of Johnstown, sister, of the bridegroom, were bridesmaids. Miss Hallenbeck chose a dress of mint green nylon chiffon over taffeta with a matching headpiece. She carried a colonial bouquet of white carnations and pink mums. Miss Case wore a dress of'pale yellow nylon chiffon over tulle and matching headpiece. She carried a colonial bouquet of white carnations and lavender mums.
James Lamb of Frankfort, brother-in-law of the bride, was best man. David Case of Allentown, Pa., brother of the bridegroom, and Homer De Bell of Troy were ushers.
A reception was held in the Town hall following the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of Southern Pilgrim College in Kernersville, NC, and is employed in
the Premier Gloves Inc., in Fultonville.
The bridegroom, a graduate of Eastern Pilgrim College in Allentown, Pa , is employed by the Palatine Dyeing Co. in St Johnsville.
The newlyweds took a wedding trip to Maine. Upon their return they will reside in Fultonville.

Ronald Eric Fumall, age 85, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, MN.
He was born on November 3, 1934 in Waukesha, WI to Gregory and Frances Fumall. He married Joan Hollenbeck on February 20, 1960 at the First Congregational Church in Waukesha.
Ron graduated from Waukesha High School in 1952. After graduation, Ron began working at the Waukesha Post Office as a clerk before joining the Navy. He served for two years (1955-57) and was stationed at the Navel Communication Station at Skaggs Harbor near San Francisco and in Sasebo, Japan. After the Navy, Ron “Rocket” returned to the Waukesha Post Office to resume working as a clerk. He later became a city letter carrier and finally a rural letter carrier for the last 17 years of his employment. Throughout the years he served as union president of all 3 postal crafts. He retired after 37 years at the USPS. After retirement, Ron worked at the Waukesha Food Pantry for 8 years overseeing the warehouse.
He enjoyed serving his community. Ron was an avid gardener and loved taking care of his lawn and gardens on Brandybrook Road in Genesee, WI where he lived for 44 years. Ron was an active volunteer and Bible study group member at Highview Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Dousman, WI.
Ronald will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Joan Fumall, son Andrew (Tammy), daughter Deborah (Patrick) McClernon, and grandchildren Kaitlin, Sean and Kyle McClernon. Ronald also leaves behind his sisters Carolyn (Richard) Huttner and Lorna Bell. In addition, his brother-in-law Robert (Vee) Hollenbeck, aunt Myrtle Ester and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 7 at Thelen Funeral Services in North Prairie, WI. Visitation will begin at 2pm followed by a service at 3pm. Military Honors for Ron to follow the services.

The bride-to-be is a 1983 graduate of Fort Plain Centra! School and a 1987 graduate of Hartwick College, Oneonta, earning her degree in computer science. She is currently employed as a programmer/analyst with Infosearch Inc., Albany.
Her fiance is a 1982 graduate of Fort Plain Central School and a 1985 graduate of Fulton-Montgomery Community College, Johnstown, earning his degree in natural resources and wildlife conservation. He is currntly employed as assistant water operator with the Village of Fort Plain.
A spring 1989 wedding is being planned.
